Fear was not something that easily bothered Ganale. Not after years upon years of epic warfare while pushing it to the limit with safety not guaranteed. At the most, the [Fear] effect would give him the creeps, which subsequently gives him a strong desire to destroy whatever's giving him that feeling, rather than escape it.
After all, if you run, whatever you're afraid of is gonna chase you and prolly kick your a**. If you turn and fight, you're probably still gonna get your a** kicked, but at least you can say you tried, and you may take it with you.
The [Weakness] affect would enfeeble him for all of about five seconds, then his best auto-ability would kick in: [Auto-Regen]. So long as he was in contact with the ground and not currently undertaking any strenuous activity, he would recover large amounts of health and heal status effects, including enfeeblement.
Fear, or more aptly, that creepy feeling made him violent. Despair made it even worse. And that little Forbidden pseudo-illusion was the icing on the cake. Ganale had just entered Hulk Smash mode. And he saw his opportunity present itself when the girl dropped to the ground, apparently stunned.
In a beautiful imitation of the move directly out of Twilight Princess, Ganale leapt up into the air, turning his greatsword so that its point was down, and drove down directly onto the she-thing, slamming his sword as far as he could through her and into the ground. [Weapon Skill/Finish Strike]

Interestingly, she seems dead to the eye. Her form reverts to that of a child again, serene and peaceful...and the elementals wink out. Is that it? Still, it seems like that's all she has to give..though with the amount of power she expended, there really should be more. That fight was altogether too easy. Ganale's a veteran of boss battles. if it's too easy, and too good to be true..it usually is. Still, her body doesn't move an inch.

One of the Hold's damage control rookies appears on the scene, seeing flashes of light and fire in the area. As he witnesses Ganale's final attack, he points. "Ooooh! b***h got served!" He then runs back to his unit.

And just like in all those two-stage boss battles, Ganale didn't bother to fancily sheath his blade or anything of the like. He simply stared for a moment at the fallen enemy, then turned and began to slowly walk away.

arrow Island 5: Heaven or Hell? Duel 2; Let's Rock!
Well, round two is definitely about to explode. Chains erupt from the ground and pull Sabera's body down into the surface of the earth, and her very signature seems to disappear. The magma erupts then, and rising up from the hole that forms is Sabera, only..she's huge. About fourty feet tall, and an image of the fire elementals she summoned. There are eight tendrils of flaming destruction coming out from her back, fire tentacles. They each have mouths composed of heat and flame, and her three blazing eyes gaze down at her enemy.
Four arms sprout from her body, and her psychotic laughter echoes all around the island. Her lower body is like a serpent almost, composed of a neverending stream of flame..and like any true boss, she has a good opening evil line..
"So you thought you could destroy me with that weak power? Prepare to be cleansed in a trial by fire, pitiful hero!"

Ah, there was always a second form. Well, usually. Okay, sometimes. Okay so only in the late-game bosses.
Regardless, General Ganale realized that he'd really made a mistake by not buying the Prima Official Player's Guide, which would tell him how to fight this beastie, but oh well. He had a fairy stored in a bottle that he could... Oh whoops, left it in his closet.
Bugger.
Leaping backwards, he brought up his greatsword in a defensive stance, ready to go on a learning curve and figure out exactly how this critter fought, all the better to form a strategy.

The female body sways to and fro, and for something made out of liquid heat, she's quite jiggly. Still, flaming bosom aside, she's rather deadly. As she sways, the tentacles on her back dance all around, carving a swath of destruction in front of her as they come forward and sway along with her body. Standard 'wide area boss general attack' kind of thing. It seems like that's her basic attack..and she's leaving no doubt she prefers a 'scorched earth' policy.

One thing that everyone at Seafoam knew was that Earth > Fire. Time to remind little miss scorchytits of that fact. Lowering his greatsword from its defensive stance, in effect "turning off L-targeting", he closed his eyes for a moment, concentrating enough in order to use an Elemental ability without any verbal or somatic component.
When he next opened his eyes and resumed moving, he wasn't visibly changed, but if scorchytits could read auras, she'd be reading an obscene boost in physical and magical defense, as well as his entire body becoming a channel/vessel/sieve/what have you for the Earth Element. [Earth Element/Diamondskin]
Spinning his greatsword over his head, he shifted his right foot back and held his blade at an angle, and then stopped moving. Something was going on, however, as the wind direction had changed and a low rumbling was building in the ground.

The tentacle things that the woman has growing out of her liquid fire back area open and do the classic boss thing..you know, throw projectiles. Eight large balls of explosive fire are violently pressurized out the mouths on the ends of the things growing out of her back; the spheres of flame when they impact anything, will detonate, creating moderate sized craters.
She seems to fall into the standard boss pattern, yeah. Projectile attack, wide range physical..she's got em all..

The general grinned as he watched the fireballs incoming. This was vintage Legend of Zelda right here. So to that end, he shifted the flow of energy he was building; rather than channel it into himself and the ground around him, he sent the energy into his sword. A brown glow built into the blade as a veritable sheath of shimmering brown energy formed over it, accompanied by a humming sound.
As the balls neared within striking range, he released his channeled energy and momentum all at once. The Earth Master launched himself into a spiral of motion, a whirling dervish of destruction, as it were. Simultaneously, his movement launched a wave of Earth energy that, hitting the incoming fireballs at such speed and angle, would reflect them back toward the enemy. [Weapon Skill/Great Slice]

Of course, detonating fireballs themselves won't damage her; it's one thing different from games. Fire monsters are not illogically harmed by fire, even of their own making. Still, the concussion is enough to blow her back, and she rises up slowly..the long things on her back hanging down..her arms falling forward..and it seems for a moment she's simply standing still..but then..her voice is heard..and the sky overhead turns dark..swirling with heat..hazing, as if a volcano was heating the air up all around..and she's surrounded from below by a runic spinning circle..
"No mercy for the damned...thus, thou hast no escape from the grasp of Catastrophe..!"
Above, the sky, which has turned to night, swirls and distorts..and beams of light strike into stones above..floating just out of the atmosphere, and they are covered in a pale energy that keeps them from disintegrating as they begin falling..chunks of metal, rock and ice are enveloped in fire..and this version of the spell seems much different from the normal one..multiple flaming meteors begin falling..with one gigantic one following suit..many fused into one..
"Meteor Swarm!"

Lifting his greatsword up to rest the weapon on his shoulder, he looked up to the sky to watch the meteors come raining down on him. And then he grinned, and did the complete opposite of what any sane person would have done.
Rather than attempt to escape their immediate path, or even shield oneself with an Elemental ability or magic spell, Ganale waved his free hand toward the ground and a pillar of rock erupted up from the ground beneath him, propelling him up to meet the meteors. [Earth Element/Skill Modification/Rock Wall]
And as he was propelled up amongst the falling stones, he began to strike with his sword, not looking to cleave or break them in any fashion. No, he was striking with the flat of his blade, deflecting the ones in his immediate path away from him, and he's heading directly for that big ******** up off the pillar as the point of no return was reached, he angled up toward the big meteor, counting on the collision between meteor and pillar to slow the falling chunk of rock just enough so that he could land on its surface and run up toward its other end. As he did so, he stabbed his blade into the rock's surface in order to change its direction of movement, turning it back so that it'd land on ol' scorchytits.

Well that was unexpected. Still, she grips the meteor in her tentacles and her arms..then she spins her head. That spell..it was..! And that's all she has time to think before the explosion...and when it clears, there there should be a massive hole, there is only sparkling dust..and for a moment..a young woman composed entirely of light is standing where the gigantic flaming creature was. When she flicks her wrist again, she is gone..into so much energy impulse. Oddly, when she flickers out..so do all the lights on the island for exactly two minutes..before they cut on again.
