October Breeze I didn't find Jacob that interesting in the first book, but I really liked him in the second one. I thought he was adorable and I was rooting for him. I almost wish Bella had been with him, even for a little while, just because it would cause way more cuteness.
But, like most said, Edward comes first, probably because he was first. The only thing I don't like about Edward is how hard and cold his body is (that's just gross...I mean, who wants to lay with or kiss cold rock?). Oh well. I agree with that bit. As soon as I read the second book I felt like I liked the idea of Jacob warming a cold Bella, rather than Edward....making her colder...
But then there was also Bella pressing her arm against Edward to ease the hot, shooting pain.

Drexelle I feel sorry for Jake. D; He's not exactly perfect, and he can never win over Bella's heart.
And, he's an out of control werewolf.

Whoa! Loving the well thought out comments peoples. ^^ It's cool.
Very true, I think they do sorta have the same personalities, somewhat. But not the same. They are proactive and definatly overprotective of Bella. Man. I wish I had a werewolf and a vampire fighting over me!
And the thing about Edward being like a rock...I think that's one thing I like better about Jacob. Rock=weird.

Yeah, they are like opposites aren't they? Well, I guess I like Edward better, but just a little bit. Jacob was sorta cold at the end of New Moon when he refused to stay friends with Bella even after he promised, although you can't really blame him, because Bella was sort of using him. They're so different but they share the same weakness. Strange, but cool.

I of course like Edward more, just because he is so hot and sexy and all that. But, let's face it, there is no guy like Edward. He is too perfect. Jacob is much more realistic in our society, and I find myself liking him more and more. And I do hope he finds some girl to love and gets over Bella smile

I'm kinda torn between Jacob and Edward. You think she'll pick Edward, but then what about Jacob? And vice versa!

I fell in love with Edward in Twilight, but then when Jacob came around I started loving him too. But I think I still like Edward more. Come on, he made Bella FAINT! He is just ...great. biggrin But I still have a soft spot for Jacob. heart

Raezyn101 Jeez...I kind of fell in love with Jacob, but it's still Edward who is my favorite. ^^ Yeah, I was kinda looking foward to seeing some JakexBella fluff
and even though I knew Edward has mine and Bella's heart from
the start I couldn't help but want to cry at what happened with Jake.

Jacob is cute, but I have an uncontrollable obsession with Tall, Skinny white guys with brown shaggy hair and Blue/Green(now topaz) eyes.

I find Jacob quite irritating.. neutral For one, he chases after Bella like a stalker, never relenting in his quest to.. get Edward out of the way, maybe? And Edward was there first, so there!
I apologize if I seem like a biased, freaky, Edward/Bella shipper.

You have to remember that Edward was born in a very different time than Jacob was, so that may be the reason why some people think he is "uptight and formal".

I think Jake's adorable. whee But I do like Edward, too, of course. They both have wonderful, and not so wonderful, qualities. I lean more towards Jake, but I like Edward/Bella better...hm.

Does anyone else wonder what would have happened between Bella and Jake if she never met Edward? I think it would take some time for her to feel the same love he has for her, but it would happen eventually. She wouldn't feel as strongly as she does for Edward, but I'm talking about if Edward was not there, did not exist. Anyone else think it would work out?

Oh! I noticed that too how Edward and Jacob are both so awesome yet opposites of each other. Especialy when Bella said that Jacob's skin was so warm.
