When Fauste got the Summon from Ceres she felt happy and nervous all at the same time. Sunflash felt how nervous she was and he too became nervous though he didn't quite understand why. They hadn't returned to Sunflash's rental stall for long before they recieved the summons.
Now they waited at the HQ for Ceres to join them. Fauste had began her nervous bout of pacing around, seeming very much like a caged Tiger. Sunflash just watched, following her movements with his eyes and head.

Fauste had followed along wondering what will happen. She didn't realize they had reached a stopping point until Ceres spoke up. The sudden voice caused Fauste to jerk a bit and Sunflash to rear back because of Fauste's sudden movement.
She paitently listened to what was said and nodded, though obviously not quite comprehending what was in store, "Let's go Sunflash...We can do this." she smiled at him. Sunflash nodded lightly and they walked forth.
Soon they seemingly lost track of Ceres. Scarier still they seemed to disappear into their own worlds. Fauste found herself face to face with her past self, they stared at eachother for a moment before the fake one spoke up.
"Thought ye'd be rid o'me eh?" "I put you behind me." Fauste said calmly trying not to be afraid.
"Right, right, What about all them innocents ye harmed?" "I..I am no longer like that!"
"Oh really? I know what you really desire. You desire BLOOD..You desire DEATH...You loved your own hell you were trapped in...Admit it!" "I..I hurt many people, I refuse to go back to that life. I...I loved hurting myself because...I hated myself but not anymore. I have friends, and people that love me and.." Fauste felt a sting upon her cheek. She got slapped. "Uhn! Hey! Don't do that!" Fauste snarled. The Evil Fauste just grinned. "C'mon have at me. Kill me! Get a feel for ripping my heart out of my chest." Fauste jerked again as if she was about to do so then stopped stepping away, "No. No. No. I am better than that now. I have nothing to fear from you."
"Ahh, yet you hide me from others." "Not..not any more..Anyone that asks shall know my past."
The Evil version of Fauste looked as it it had been struck before fading a way into blackness. . .
...
Sunflash peered at Fauste as she suddenly stood still her head bowed, her eyes gleemed an alarming red color. "What is wrong?" he pranced in place nervously.
"What a sad excuse of a changeling are you anyways?" her voice spoke out slowly, icy, and harsh.
Sunflash recoiled from the words, "No!"
"Pah, I have no need of you!" She turned and started to walk away.
"NO!" Sunflash started to trot after Fauste then stopped staring down. Maybe she was right...He turned to wander away but for some reason he stopped and he shook his head, "Something is wrong. Fauste..Fauste promised to never abandon me."
He bowed his head and stamped his foot on the ground and whinnied loudly, "IMPOSTER!" And in his rightious rage he barrled into the Fake Fauste and went past her. Until he found he was next to the real Fauste in a strange place...Fauste seemed to be just as dazed and confused as he was as they both looked around.
"Ugh...That was wicked." Sunflash nodded his agreement.

Fauste squeaked lightly and stepped back but once. "I uhh...I am Fauste L'Daeionis, I have come here with my Changeling, Sunflash."
Fauste spoke nervously. She wasn't sure how to approach these beings just yet. She took off her hat in respect and resisted the urge, barely, to twist it into oblivion.

Fauste blushed lightly and Sunflash just tilted his head. As long as it didn't take any of Fauste's attention away from him he was willing to share his Fauste. . . . He paused a moment and seemed momentarily shocked and ashamed for his thoughts.
Fauste glanced at Sunflash and just smiled a little and petted him on the mane. He calmed down...a little.

Fauste accepted it and seemed to recoil a little at the stern look before offering a, "I'll take good care of it." after the retreating figure. Fauste then respectfully bowed, Sunflash nodded a little wondering what the big deal was. It's just a figurine.
Fauste then turned and wandered away from the grove, Sunflash following dutifully after her.

Hmm, a long day indeed So much happening
Fauste had a long day. She had walked with Ceres back to HQ then she met with Shiro about the stall for Sunflash, which had been finished within short order of Fauste asking him to build it. She had now finished settling Sunflash into his stall.
She smiled a bit as she laid the figurine near where she slept so she could immediantly sense should something go array. Sunflash got to make friends today, she was happy for him about that. She hoped he would continue to blossom as he was. She closed her eyes and thought upon the figurine. Whatever was in it, she hoped that it too would blossom. She thought over what had occurred at the grove. It was almost too much for her to take to face her old self like that but she got through it...Sunflash, what did he see? He seemed to refuse to go over it. She just knew he seemed elated at seeing her again. She looked at the figurine again and smiled lightly, "I'll take good care of you." she cooed softly and snuggled into own blankets, "No matter..what.." she murmured and dozed off.
The figurine just sat there, on a table near by was a note. Actually it was a list of things.

Lady Phoenix (Post 1 of 2) D'arim and Fauste
Fauste wandered the streets of a Bazaar, and Sunflash followed close behind. Fauste quietly kept him on a rope so as to make sure not to loose him in the crowd, though it was hard to miss a creature of his distinct markings.
"Like it here?" Fauste glanced at Sunflash, who was trying hard not to be too nervous. Having Fauste near by helped him a little however. He shook his head a little, a mental image appearing in Fauste's mind of millions upon millions of people.
Fauste nodded, "Yeah, but it's the only place where we can get the things I need." Fauste said quietly and shrugged, "It won't take long I promise." Sunflash just snorted softly stopping his hoof upon the ground as he took a step forward to keep up with Fauste. Fauste just chuckled and continued forward before she stopped in front of a speciality stall.
The merchant peered at her for a moment before nodding, "You again, eh? How's life on the seas?"
Fauste shrugged non-commitally, "I stopped that life ages ago, D'arim." Fauste said looking through some empty-looking books.
"Ahh, I was wondering why no one's been uttering your name in terror.." D'arim muttered, Fauste flinched slightly and gave out a sigh. "You have definately changed. Quite literally raised yourself out of the ashes of your awful past." The old merchant paused a moment. Sunflash was curious as to how the old coot knew so much about Fauste, but he just stayed quiet.
Fauste just raised an eyebrow, "What's that supposed to mean?" she asked, her tone turned slightly steely, which alarmed Sunflash a little.
D'arim shrugged faintly as he picked up a trinket and looked it over, "I am merely mention that you have a phoenix sort of life...You have practically rebirthed from the last time I have seen you. You used to be quite cruel and heartless."
Fauste shudded and shrugged, "I guess you are right..." She wouldn't admit it but the phoenix mention had seemed to struck a cord deep inside her. She almost swore she felt a slight warmth coming from the avaling figurine in her pocket. "Anyways, do you have any scrap or memory books..Perhaps both?"
D'arim paused a moment in thought setting a trinket aside, "I have..something special for you infact..." Fauste stared dubiously after him as he disappeared into the building behind his stall. He seemed to never fail at getting what she needed and more.
After a moment he returned with two thick-looking books and handed them to her. On the covers of both was a bird that appeared to be on fire, a phoenix. "They are memory and scrap book. They are enchanted to never run out of pages. They are a set, so never try to seperate them, otherwise the enchantment breaks."
Fauste blinked a moment, "How much?" D'arim waved a hand dismissively. "Oh come on they can't be free." he turned his back on her stubbornly, which amused Sunflash.
"Fine." she sighed out and began to leave.
"Good luck m'lady phoenix." D'arim called out. Fauste shuddered quietly, it gave her chills for some reason, "Strange man." Fauste muttered. Sunflash nodded as he was lead away.
Fauste and Sunflash wandered the bazaar for a while longer picking up some leather cloths and other odds and ends before finally leaving toward home.
Once home Fauste gathered a few more things putting them in a wagon she got out of a storage room. "Ready to go for another trip? We'll put the books in order, just you and me." Sunflash nodded and began to follow her. The small wagon was stacked with strange and mysterious odds and ends.

Memory Scrap Booking (Post 2 of 2) Snippy Snip.
Fauste and Sunflash sat beneath a large shady tree. Fauste was surrounded by scraps of paper and material as she cut and pasted along. Near by floated a strange one eyed thing that seemed to replicate images with little time at all. The thing was obviously alive and it seemed to be made of some sort of gel. Fauste called it Odasni. Occassionally the creature'd perch on Fauste's shoulder and peer at Sunflash curiously.
Sunflash peered back at Odasni curiously, never before had he seen such an odd thing. Fauste just hummed along as a second creature hovered about on wings, also made of strange gel. Fauste called this one Fasmi, it played music. Any music at all. It was seemed to be very relaxing. At least Fasmi had two eyes.
Fauste cut various images of Phoenixes after Odasni replicated them. Fauste kept the originals near by. After she finished cutting she started pasting and casting enchantments causing the originals to soak into the cut images. Though when she touched the cut images after they appeared above the cut picture to show the full image, "Neat trick no?"
Sunflash blinked and nodded. Fauste grinned and shrugged, "I thought so myself. Just never had much reason to do this yet I guess." Fauste put aside one book and started on the other, only this time only making an image of the figurine and pasting it in the memory book, "There we go."
Fauste finally produced a charm that looked like a phoenix and tied it to the scrap book, "That way it can decide if they want to wear it or what when they are old enough." Fauste nodded, Sunflash just stared at her oddly. Fauste peered at Sunflash and shrugged, "Well, it's true." She added and tied on some feathers that a boastful merchant claimed were once from a phoenix itself. "There. All done with both books." Fauste stretched and relaxed against the tree. Fasmi and Odasni began chasing eachother around. After a while Sunflash jumped up and started after them, playing.

Why a Phoenix? Fauste Ponders
Fauste put together a special pouch for her figurine while Sunflash chased Odasni and Fasmi around. He seemed to be getting slightly faster at running though not much. Fauste sow'd the pouch together, occassionally bringing out the Figurine out for measurements.
"Why does it seem so right? A phoenix of all things. Ever since I spoke with D'arim...I seemed to have found that connection I was missing. Tommorrow Sunflash and I go on a trip with other Avaling parents." Fauste sighed softly. "I'm so nervous. I am not sure what to expect. At least Sunflash is excited. He hopes to see Forest and Bay again." Fauste continued to talk to herself. "I am glad I found my...spirit animal." She remeasured the figurine to the pouch to assure a good fit. "There you go little one, nice and safe in this right?" Fauste grinned as she continued to speak to herself, "I speak to myself as if I suspect someone to answer." Fauste finished the pouch and finally fit the figurine comfortably in it. At this point Fasmi and Odasni were perched on Sunflash's back and Sunflash stood before her. Image of food filled Fauste's mind and she nodded, "Yes, I'm hungry too. Let's go home for dinner." She stood and cleaned up after herself, putting it all back in the wagon which stood stalwardly near by. Then the strange group wandered home...
They all ate, and Fauste put Fasmi and Odasni away somewhere safe, on their own little perch. Fauste also made sure to visit with Sunflash before he was fast asleep before turning in herself.
It didn't take long before she too was sleeping deeply, having dreams of phoenixes and rebirths...
((Post 1 & 2 and this post all occurred a day or two before the avaling group trip.))

Honey, I'm home! Zzzz...
Fauste stumbled into her home, only to get glomped by a very happy cat-like creature, with the torso of a human boy and the lower of a white tiger, sort of built like a satyr. "Missssstress home!" He purred out and cuddled against her before bouncing away. Fauste stood up rubbing her backside, "Oi..Nice to see you too Hyde.. " Fauste murmured, she greeted everyone in the house, keeping a protective hand over the Avaling figurine, which felt a little warm.
After the welcoming was done, Fauste retreated to her room after everyone else was tucked in by her or otherwise bid good night. She sat the avaling figurine near her bed, her mind still rolling with thoughts over what had happened back at the castle, two centaur-esque avalings, twins? But the other looked so much older...She groaned softly and covered her eyes with her arm. Soon she was fast asleep. The night noises outside of her sliding door sending her into a very deep slumber...
