Resiment
Masters, I can only protest against this.

This system is based on luck, and yes, it was stated earlier, but it relays no light on the battlers actual skill. A Master can clearly be more skilled than another, but if it's luck, the lower can easily win if the odds are in his/her favor.

I understand what your saying, but I just felt it was the only way to ensure nobody tried to push the limits on there God powers, and if desired, mabye two battle systems can be created to ensure everybody gets something to there liking>the dice way and the good old fashioned RPG way<

I just felt it seemed to be the only ensure way for a fair game, although it is all completely luck.

Also,I may have forgotten to state that a Youngling can only go against a Youngling, but now we run into a new problem....some Younglings are newbies, while others are advanced and ready to progress onwards as knights. This would show that if you a youngling goes against a youngling [or a knight against a knight] the masters would most likely have to agree what stage there apprentiace is on before the duel of sabers.

And thus, our first hurtle with this idea. Now we come to a brick wall. who will fairly watch the dice roll? The only possible way is if an audimated
system post up the roll results after somebody clicks on the dice. This, however, takes it past just dueling and more into a gaming system that I really cannot create. This whole idea would take so much space it would seem that a whole website is needed for it to function correctly! sweatdrop

So mabye, this idea wasnt that good after all,Its truly for the masters to decide. I am only a mere youngling so this is only just a thought. I may post later with a somewhat better idea on how to tackle the glitches in this suggestion.

((OOC: Might i suggest, to accent LKP's ideas about the battle system, that we also be allowed to battle via AOL chatroom if we have it. the AOL dice system is exactly what LKP is looking for, and I can referee these fights when at home and prepare a battle log with ease, since i already know how the AOL dice and log systems work))

What about those who do not have AOL or access to a chatroom. Also, since we cannot see you do it, you may fudge the rolls. I believe you are honorable, but I am sure us masters do not want a youngling to beat us by a lucky die roll.

I prefer the battles remain in the guild or in a city I will build once I get the volunteers to help.

((that suggestion was simply for an alternative for those who do not want to use the city for whatever reason and have AOL. in addition, it displays what dice was rolled as well as what the number result was. on the wayside, though, if I ever get to the point where i'm refereeing a battle, i'll be using the D&D dice roller that i posted a link to earlier. i simply preferr the interface on it than to the Random Organiser

Okay. I just wanted to make sure that it was randomized and that there is no way to cheat. I asked the AOL question because I don't have it. I find nothing wrong with it, but we wil see what Suki says

As long as the rules are followed, I see nothing wrong with that. I would like a link though, just because I want to observe and get feed back on the battle system 3nodding

Be careful what you wish for Peppa. If the rules almost forbade Masters from taking on Younglings or Knights, I would take you up on that

The only real advantage you have on me is the more abilitys you have sweatdrop i'm quite the fighter in any other way. I'll take you up on that as soon as I have at least a few more abilitys-anybody else I'll take on however.

1. Ok, we should just do the AOL chatroom thing, people who dont have AOL: AIM is free! AIM
2. Why dont we add another category? Younglings I: the newbies or people just starting out, Younglings II: people who are more advanced but not yet ready for The Trails, Younglins III: people who are almost ready for the title of Knight. If this is the same for Knights who ar emore pwerful and ready for Master ranking, I suggest doing something along the same lines.
3. Has anyone considered my mediclorinan idea? If not here it is: OK, depending on someone's species depends on how many medichlorians someone has (ie: Hutt= 7,000-7,250 medis, Mon Calamri ((did I spell that right? Probably not.))=7,750- 8,750. Im just thorwing out numbers here.) It could give someone an adavntage against someone very evenly matched. Numbers could be given out by that persons Master or The Emporeress when they join. But I suggest not posting the numbers publicly because then we would get people choosing a certain race over something else because of the medi count. Just a thought.

I have considered this idea, but am not sure if it is feasible to add in yet. Let me do a little more studying up on it.
