Jordan had ventured a little farther up, where people where at and started digging in the sand and a few moments later his hand reappeared with several coins that had been buried in the sand.
Lena had moved toward the shoreline and began to scuffle the sand and shells around where high tide was an hour or so ago and picked up a coin here and there, that had been buried by the sand and shells.
Kailey had began her digging closer to the dunes and had only managed to come up with three coins so far.

Jack was pleased with the starting results of his crew's expedition. A decent haul for a start... though he wondered if there may be more gold to be made by pilfering... Not that he would... well at least not in front of people he didn't know well.
Digging a bit more in the sand, he stumbled up on some more gold. At this rate they could all get ice cream when the day was over! A fitting reward for their day of searching. Counting his own money, he gathered he had just about 32 gold. "Tally up, how much have we gathered thus far?"

"27," said Lena walking over toward Jack.
"30, Captain," replied Jordan as he walked back too.
"23," said Kailey as she picked up the last of the coins.

Jack nodded his head, yep, twas a good amount so far, but there was always a need of more. "Alright, how bout we each try and reach forty pieces of gold, then take half and by ourselves some ice cream, savvy? The other half we'll hide in a much more clever spot than buried on the beach." He wasn't sure where yet, but they'd think of something...
Combing the beach for more gold he wondered what they'd do with the latter half of the booty.

"Yes, Captain," came Kailey and Lena's response in unison as they both dispersed in opposite direction to try and reach forty first.
"Aye Captain," said Jordan as he went over and began diggin where he was earlier, hoping to find more gold in this wonderful hunt.

Jack himself continued his dig. Venturing off to find more gold pieces. Maybe the extra would start the fund for a boat. That's when the real adventures would start! Life out on the high sea! Slipping the gold into his pocket as he found it, he eventually made his quota, and then some. It's not like you just pass up treasure when you found it.
He began on his way back to the cave, hoping that their 'guard' would remember that he was the captain of this crew.

Lena, Kailey, and Jordan had taken what they had found and headed back to the cave with the loot that they had also gathered. Lena and Jordan had met the quota with no problem, but Kailey had some difficulty, in the end though she managed to meet the quota.
As the four of the walked back up to the cave Snowcap sat there like he never even moved from the spot, ears perked and eyes scanning the area. When Snowcap heard them he looked right at them and his tail began to wag back and forth.

Jack grinned at their haul. It was a good days work, and even though he may have rather found it a bit quicker, it still made the day a good one. "Alright lad and lasses, we've got our loot, now let's split it in half. One half for treatsies, the other to store away." He paused for a moment setting out his gold.
"And now, where to hide it? We know that you can't hide it in the sand, people find it... so where shall we keep it?"

"There was a hole behind that rock over there, with a rock covering it," said kailey pointing to a far corner of the cave, where her and Lena had been searching earilier

Hmmm would be a gamble to see if anyone discovered it... maybe there was a way to conceal it more. Well, what was life but a gamble of fate? "Sounds like a good idea." He nodded once to show his approval. Pulling a leather pouch from his coat, he started to put half the gold into it. "Would you be so kind love?" He asked handing Kailey the pouch.

Kailey took the leather pouch from the captain and scuttled off to the corner where the hole was. Once back there Kailey wedged the rock out from the hole and then set the pouch down in the hole and then wedged the rock back into place. Then she reemerged "Treasure hidden Captain Jack," Kailey said as she did a curtly bow*.
*or just bowwed, If thats not what its called question

"Good woman," Jack said. And now that the rest of the treasure was hidden, he turned his attention back to what was left for them to squander. "Now crew, I think we've done a good days work, what say you to a little treatsie?" Between the four of them they were able to raise 80 gold for ice cream and the like.

"Thats awesome," hooted Jordan as he punched the air with enthusiasm.
"Woohoo," said Lena as she did her victory sign.
And Kailey just stood their and smiled the biggest smile possible.

Smiling, Jack led them out of the cave an up toward the beach vendors. The crew had done good work and it was more like an audition if anything, and they'd passed. Walking up to the ice cream stand, he motioned to get the lady's attention. "One scoop of rocky road for me, and whatever these lot want."

"Mocha," said Lena to the vendor.
"Chocolate," for me," said Jordan.
"Cookie Dough, please," said Kailey.
"So what do you want to do next Captain Jack," asked Jordan.
"Yeah, its fun hangin' with you," added Lena.
