Yeah, when I first saw the Dharma symbol I was like "Hey! Feng shui! I use that to decorate! o.O" I researched some online and in the Feng Shui Bible (a book I have)...but nothing amazing came up that seemed prominent to Lost that I could find. But that was a while ago so who knows... sweatdrop

I wonder if now that we know more about Dharma if there are any connections you missed before. It might be worth a look.

Wow! It matches exactly with the trigrams, except that xun and dui are switched.
That's really cool!

hmm...perhaps it is possible to relate each of the sides of the bagua to characters in the series. it might tell us something about them, and what to expect from them.
and also..i forget where i heard this, but Dharma in a different language is a saying type thing. it means: everyone has a purpose.
very deep stuff here.

Dharma is the underlying order in nature and human life and behaviour considered to be in accord with that order. Ethically, it means 'right way of living' or 'proper conduct,' especially in a religious sense. With respect to spirituality, dharma might be considered the Way of the Higher Truths. Dharma is a central concept in religions and philosophies originating in India. These religions and philosophies are called Dharmic religions. The principal ones are Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism, all of which emphasize Dharma (the correct understanding of Nature) in their teachings.

I wonder if that has anything to do with the "good people" "bad people" stuff. Also, understanding nature could have something to do with why all the Dharma stuff is on an island in the middle of nowhere.

Nameste is a traditional greeting the Dharma Initative use thats from the same group of languages as their name (yeah I looked all that stuff up and when Naomi mentioned them finding the crashed plane in Bali it kinda makes sense and gives us a rough idea of where the island actually is - or should do).
Yin and Yan represent positive and negitive. The electromagnetism would have to be either positively or negatively charged to cuase problems. Also remember there are two islands.
