Erik smiled at Chris' words. For most of his life, his brothers had picked on him, ripped on him, and basically caused some serious self-esteem and self-confidence issues, so he was really glad he had Chris for an older brother here. But Chris saying that he'd do the romance film first slightly unnerved him. "Woah, woah, woah!! Slow down there, hotshot, first I want to hear your ideas." 'Phew, close call', he thought.
Deciding not only to tell Chris the truth, but the whole story, Erik took a deep breath before starting. "*Sigh* Okay...I-I do like her, I really, really really like Branwan. I mean, I want to tell her, I really do, it's just that since I was in 5th Grade, every time I asked a girl out, she...well...how do I put this eloquently....*mimics sound of an atomic bomb going off*. Every time they said no, it just hurt so bad, like having a knife being driven through your heart. I just want to tell Branwan how I feel about her, but I'm too scared that she'll say no." Erik took a couple deep breaths before saying to his older brother, "God d**n, that was hard to say! You have no idea how long I've kept that locked up."

Christopher's smile grew wider and he patted Erik on the back as a form of congratulations. "Attaboy. One step down, eleven more to go. No, I'm just joking."
Christopher chuckled at his joke, even if it was bad. He then began his own speech, "I know how it can be Erik. Everyone is scared to admit that they like someone. However, I know it is more deep rooted for you considering your social history. But I don't think you have much to worry about. What type of girls did you go for back in your school? Popular or well known? Because I can tell you Branwan isn't in that league of girls. You two have quite a bit in common. Not to mention like you, she's a bookworm."
Wrapping his arms around his proclaimed little brother, Christopher gave Erik a hug. "I'm sure it'll work out. If anything, I think you'd be a perfect match for her. Plus, considering we're all going to be stuck on this island for pretty much the rest of our lives, I don't think you'll have much in the way of competition. As for my ideas, I was thinking music video. So why don't we take the romantic angle and the music video angle and interweave them? I think I have the perfect song of choice for it too..."

Erik laughed at Chris' joke, even though it was bad, he could laugh at most anything after saying what he just did. "What kind of girls did I go after? Well Dr. Phil, most of the girls I went after were in the middle, not too cool, but not too uncool. But I think you're right about Branwan, she's a lot more down-to-earth, not one of those prissy b*****s. And plus I do have a lot in common with her.
Taking his older brother's hug with open arms, Erik was so happy at that moment, his tail wagging uncontrollably. "You have a point there about competition, I mean besides me, all the guys here are like your age, 20,21. And what are the chances of Moreau bringing another 14 year-old boy here anyway?" After hearing about Chris' idea for a romantic music video, he replied "Brilliant Spielburg, what's the song you're thinking of?"

Christopher acted appalled, but really found it funny, when Erik called him Dr. Phil. "I resent that you skirt. I'm nothing like that buffoon Phil. I at least know what the hell I'm talking about."
Christopher went into another spiel about his plans for the first video, "Well, Glacus recently got me into some operatic metal band called Lacuna Coil. Anyway, one song that caught my interest the most was called Falling. What's striking is it can double as a melancholy love song and a song about an inner search for oneself. So, we can shoot it in a way where Branwan could represent your side of yourself you want to release. Kind of representative of you ridding of your self esteem issues. You get the idea. But also, it can be representative of you wanting to confess your feelings for her. Before I give you any more details, tell me what you think thus far."

Erik couldn't help but laugh at his older brother's response.
Paying close attention to what Chris was saying he said, "It sounds good so far, but can I hear the song before we go any further?".

Christopher nodded with reply. "Let me pull it up on my laptop and let you listen to it. If you don't like that one, then we'll sort through my library of MP3s until we find something you like. And there's plenty of variety. I have at least 3,000+ songs."
Treading over to the end table by his couch, Christopher double clicked the song and let it play. He hoped his now little brother would enjoy it.
"If you like this song, we can go ahead and start scouting locations today," Christopher added, waiting for Erik's response.

Following Chris and sitting next to him on the couch, Erik waited for the music to start. Picking up the song clearly through his pointed, Erik found it quite relaxing and soothing, no wonder Chris chose it. When the song, Erik snapped out of his relaxed state and sat back up. "You were right Chris, it's good. I have no problems with using it." he said with a smile. "So, you were talking about scouting locations.." he started. Walking towards the door, he opened it and continued, "...so let's get started."

Christopher really appreciated how gung-ho Erik was about actually doing this. He remembered when he was younger, most people scoffed at the fact he wanted to be a filmmaker and felt he'd never get a film project off the ground. Besides his parents and a couple of his close friends, no one believed in what he could do. This only helped tighten the brother relationship forming between the two canine hybrids.
"Glad to see someone finally enthusiastic about this as I am," Christopher mused. "Now why couldn't you have been born into my family? But before we go, let me grab my digital camera so we can take some pics of the locations."
Noticing how active Erik's tail had been lately, he actually longed to experience it. A tail just seemed so fun and a unique expression of emotion. "I hope I get a tail soon..."
Christopher went over to his shrine of a cabinet and grabbed the digi cam. He then followed Erik out the door and began to explain, "Ok, we should look for areas that are kind of gothic or haunting as well as serene. Where do you think we should start?"

Of course Erik was enthusiastic, there was really nothing he think of off the top of his head that made him feel sad, angry, or any negative feelings. "I've always wanted to be in movies, but I've always had a nasty case of stage fright. No matter what the size of the crowd was, I'd lose it. I'd even start pancking if I had to give a presentation in front of my classmates. You know Chris, I'm actually starting to view this whole island thing as a good thing for me. I mean, I get a fresh start, nothing to hold me back, nothing to bring me down, I get a whole new lease on life, and this time, I am NOT going to mess it up."
"I wish I was born into your family, too. Because let's just say that my family wasn't exactly the Brady Bunch. For instance, my younger brother, Christopher, was the biggest smart*** on Earth. He would constantly rip on me for anything I did: one time, he even yelled at me because I wear briefs instead of boxers, how crazy is that."
Putting a padded hand on Chris' shoulder, he said to him "Don't worry Chris, you'll get a tail sooner or later, and once you do, it's a blast...except when you have to go to the bathroom, then it's a problem."
Gently scratching his head, Erik thought of where they could film. "Hmmm, gothic and haunting, yet serene and and peaceful...well I saw some cliffs from the helicopter when I first came here, will they do?"

"You sure you weren't born into a family that shared heritage with Joan Crawford?" Christopher asked in jest. "I mean seriously. That's the equivilent of the scene in Mommie Dearest with the 'No wire hangers eveeeeeeeer!' moment."
He had to agree with Erik that maybe being on this island would give his younger brother a fresh start. It was obvious just how much he had bottled up over the years and was finally letting out. He was sure that Erik's animal serum had something to do with it considering canines in general were social creatures to begin with. In fact, it seemed the island would also be a new lease on life for Christopher as well. Even if it meant his family was no longer in the picture, he was gaining what he had been searching for what seem an eternity. "I think we can both be in agreement that there have been benefits to this place. But I still wish that p***k wasn't the one running this place. He's just about the only thing here to rain on anyone's parade."
Christopher had to laugh at Erik's comment about the bathroom frustrations involved with a tail. He joked, "I guess we'll both have to get use to doing our business in the woods. Probably be easier, wouldn't it?"
Then at Erik's suggestion, Christopher's eyes grew wide and he froze up. "Cliffs...?"
Perspiration appeared on Chris's brow immediately. It was apparent that there was concern and fear.

Katina was walking around near some duplexes trying to find something to do,'Man who knew a big place like this could be so boring?' She stopped by a tree and closed her eyes though she was happy that she could finally think here, no hustle and bustle of the city. Plus, with her just getting done with her changes she didn't really feel like people at home would really except her anymore. She then touched her ears,' Man these thing really itch at times, what animal could I possibly be turning into?'

Erik chuckled at Chris' joke, even he had no idea what movie he was talking about.
For a minute, Erik wondered what he, Branwan, and Chris would look like when they were done changing. The thought excited him greatly. Thankfully, he came back into reality just in time to reply to Chris' statement. "Amen" And to Chris' second statement, Erik answered, "I wonder what things would be like if Aubrey were in charge, things would be awesome."
Erik burst out laughing in response to Chris' joke. "Man, you are sick, but you're probably right."
"Yeah, there are these cliffs on the south-western coast of the island, they're real--Uh, Chris, you okay, you're starting to sweat."
Getting a little unnerved by his older brother's behavior, Erik snapped his fingers twice, trying to get Chris' attention. "Chris, snap out of it!"

When Erik snapped his fingers, Christopher freaked out and backed up against the outside of his duplex door. He was hyperventilating and a cold sweat enveloped his whole body. But his body was burning up. Horrible memories from his past came back to torment him. Ever since he arrived on the island and had gotten his injections, it seemed to be awakening parts of himself he had buried long ago. Things he normally was able to handle remembering without it causing a panic attack. It was the equivilent to reliving his days in the asylum.
Christopher gripped the sides of his head as it began pounding like a drum. It was only made worse when it felt like a vice was squeezing his skull tightly. Shaking terribly, Christopher began to scream and scream. He was unaware of the wandering woman's presence nor how she might react. It was like the world around just caved in and crumbled away. Chris's screams intensified as he started to convulse.
'What's happening to me?!' Christopher's mind screamed.
"STOP IIIIIIIIT!" he howled out before he passed out and fell to the ground.

Katina heard a scream and she quickly turned around to see a man fall to the ground. Not really thinking twice she ran over to him and kneeled down to him," Hey are you ok?" She noticed the other guy too," What on earth happened to him?" She couldn't really tell wether she was more worried or curious' People dont just pass out here, right?' She was thinking to herself what she should do, should she stay or go and get help?

As Chris started to scream, Erik started to have a few scary flaskbacks of his own. Backing up against the wall inside Chris' duplex. Erik curled up into a ball like he did in the forest a few weeks ago, whimpering a puppy. Once Chris fainted, Erik slowly and cautiously got up, walking outside. He had no idea what the hell just happened.
It took him a second to realize the girl was asking him a question, nervously replying, "I don't know what just happened. Me and him were just talking, I mentioned the cliffs, and he just snapped."
