FiaNari MindMage Skunch Jinzouki Pirated KOF? What was pirated about it? surprised They just had wierd sprite changes and and given different names. Funland has one called "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", even though it has NOTHING to do with the movie. Well actually to my memory, they weren't pirated but just Japanese. For instances in King of Fighters 2001 they had different game art and some character had different celebrations, but other than that it was all the same. No they were the original version but then hacked over by some Triad or Yakuza and sent to the cartels in South America. They had the wierdest costumes and some background stages I've never seen before. sweatdrop Yeah, that HAS to be it rolleyes

Actually I find that downtown Santiago had the best arcades in Chile. 3nodding

Yea but there are always kids asking for money. Personally I like the beach arcades better like in El Tabo, San Sebastian, El Quisco, San Antonio, etc.

Well it's good to know that there is a game for everyone!! Like I was so shocked that the Tekken Dark Ressurection was left alone, but I didn't want to play cause I don't have the card. I guess all games have their phases and whatnot.

I should try it sometime as well.

Did anyone ever play that MegaMan Streetfighter like game where you were Megaman, Protoman, or Bass, and you fought Bosses like a fighter? I only played it once at Wonderland, but I loved every minute of it. It was even two player verus the Boss.

WOH!!! They had Rockman: Power Battle/Power Struggle in Funland?! eek I only played that game through rom, you MUST tell me where this fabled funland is!!! The only arcade I've ever been in is the China Town Fair, which is ok, but loud and filled with trolls. That and this yuppy arcade near Times Square but the only thing of interest there was House of the Dead 2... Everything else was like bass fishing and motorcycle race simulators. gonk
Yeah Power Battle is the original which was almost perfect in itself. It wasn't really a fighter though it's just like you would fight the bosses in megaman minus the stages and inventory. It even had cool endings if you were into Megaman. Power Struggle is the sequel, and they really got lazy. They added several 'modes' that were basically all the same except after beating a certain boss it would say "you found this!" instead of "you found that!" But they messed up the rest of the game in the process. Everything from the lifebars to enemy selection.

It seems the only arcades that are sticking around are the crappy ill-maintained arcades at the movie theaters. burning_eyes
