wow, *read through some of the posts* how busy everyone is.
to mistriss: that really sucks, but yay for furuba cosplay nonetheless. whee
let's see, cosplays I'm working on...(currently)
Franklin (Hunter x Hunter)
Gon Freecs/Freaks (Hunter x Hunter)
Michiru (AIR)
Hisoka (Hunter x Hunter)
Kurapica Kuruta [York Shin costume] (Hunter x Hunter)
Karuto Zaoldyeck (Hunter x Hunter)
and I'm going to attempt at revamping Saki Hanajima (Fruits Basket). >>;;
Franklin - no big problem there, except I'll have to be constructing some complex earrings that pose a small threat (but I'm going to get help from a jeweler I know to help me)
Gon - mostly just specifics (jacket and boots mostly) but I'm coming along with it (to my own surprise)
Michiru - a costume I've been working on rolled over from '05 I need to get a wig and style it, some contacts and the costume could be considered mostly complete. (not an extremely hard costume minus the wig working involved)
Hisoka - I'm actually attempting a quite difficult cosplay for the simple reason that I've only ever seen 2 pictures of this costume (since it wasn't a costume the character wears in the manga/anime) plus there is a inhumanly large syth)
Kurapica - alot of lining and pattern altering going on. (and I'm not too good at sewing by pattern as is.)
Karuto - I'll probebly end up buying the kimono since I do not want to attempt at such a feet, but i'm going to try hand-painting the fans, and maybe obi sash if I can.
[yes I'm a bit hxh-cosplay crazy right now. ><;;]

My plans have changed for this year... I'm still doing an Edward Elric cosplay for the end of May, but minus the automail. Between now and then, I'm going to be cramped for time. Hard to believe, but true... especially now that I have to make a Roy Mustang costume for my friend as well. If it weren't for that, I could totally slack off until March.
After May, I'm considering Allen Schezar from The Vision of Escaflowne, Rosette Christopher from Chrono Crusade, Rock Lee from Naruto (complete with bizarre colour scheme and giant eyebrows!), and Zelos Wilder from Tales of Symphonia. Oh, and more Edward costumes. With automail.

What's not to love about giant eyebrows?
A friend has roped me into a Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar cosplay group for...I don't know yet, as Cinnamon. Meaning I get to practice the art of making spiky hair. Oh well; I couldn't resist those cute cymbals. I've also added a character from the newer chapters of Naruto whom I love to death, and a friend has decided he wants to do jujiin bunshin, so I get to be Kibamaru(x.x) I have to make an Armstrong costume for my brother, and get to work on Katherine. And Lyra. Because FMA and Naruto currently own my soul. Helios from Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon is something else added that I want to do this year, as well as Pai from Tokyo Mew Mew, and Nana from Elfen Lied.
...I don't remember what game I wanted to cosplay from this year. There was something though. ._. So, I'm a busy cosplay newbie!

I shall be Zabuza at Anime Next with a kunai in my mouth cloth coming off my mouth and blood coming dowm my arms and I might make his gaint sword

^^ Oh, this year, in May for Anime North, I'm cosplaying Shindou Shuichi of Gravitation and I'm recycling my Jakotsu costume LoL. This time though I'll be making the sword haha XD

Okay, I'm working on my Ed black jacket, and I sewed a sleeve on, but it had too many puckers in it. No problem. Did some work with the seam ripper, meticulously repinned it. And what did I just do? I SEWED IT ON UPSIDE-DOWN.

-pops in- I'm currently working on a Yagami Raito costume from Death Note.... and Lord Pent from Fire Emblem. (the video game that no one seems to have heard of... xD) Not sure what else I'll end up doing. My friends and I have been wanting to cosplay as a scad of Homunculi, (Envy! <3) but we all had way too many other costume ideas. The whole process is rather impulsive.. I change my mind too much >< But the Raito and the Pent things are set in stone, because I've bought stuff for 'em already. ....yep.

Heh. I'm too easy to bribe. My friends have gotten me into two new things that I believe I'm doing this year. I get to be Yue from Card Captor Sakura, and SonSon from Marvel vs. Capcom. And the ever so spiffy Ryou Bakura vs. Yami Bakura vs. Grave thief Bakura(?) Because my best friends are weird. But yeah...I'm busy! Especially if I get a definite on Esmeraude from BSSM..

I'm currently working on Miu from DearS, and Chii from Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles.(little snowflake crystals make me go squee.) Miu from DearS is a MAJOR step for me, because, if I can recreate her hair, I can do anything wig-wise. I hope. It is a great labor of loooove.
