Kinera had moved back like Leon said, then the teenager jumped out of thin air. Kinera went to help her brother but a strong grip held her arm. She turned to see Kenji was holding her arm, keeping her back from the fight.

Rebel_Rayl Rayl swung his weapon around deflecting the spear away from Rayl's head and swung his foot at the guard using his momentem. Using the rebounding force of the defection of her halbard, she pushed herself away from the kick. Landing on the ground, the teenager rushed Rayl with non-human speed, stabbing and slashing where ever it could get contact. Leon just stood there, watching with an impassive expression.

Rayl caught off guard by the guard's speed barely ducked under the first swipe. Flipping backwards to his feet Rayl avoids another swing and Rayl springs back deflecting a 3rd swing with his Naginata. "I can't do anything but dodge!" Rayl kept jumping back until he knew a wall was coming up. s**t this could be it, NO HOLDING BACK! Rayl flipped backwards avoiding another swipe and landing his feet on the wall Rayl pushed off with a diving pierce attack towards the Guard's spear.

Smirking, she met the attack with the staff part of her weapon then using the butt to knock the weapon out of Rayl's hands and forced him to the wall with the spear point at his throat.
"Enough, Shadow." Leon said with authority.
The teenager, Shadow, let the halbard down, "Are you sure these kids are the ones to suceed us? This one barely could fend for himself and probably the same for those two over there."

Rayl still uneasy about the whole situation, "What are we just tools to you guys?"

"Suceed? She's like you too, Mister Leon, but how?" Kinera looked at her history teacher who wasn't really a teacher. Then she turned her gaze to the teenager named Shadow, half way glaring at her for attacking her brother.

Leon looked thoughtful, "Yes...You can say she's the same as me. We're partners after all." He looked at Shadow, "Ok..let us continue. Answers lie inside of those ruins." He walked through the enterance gate and continued onward.
Kenji began to follow him but something was bothering him, "Wait a minute. That Shadow person didn't use magic...so how is it that she's the same as Mr. Leon?"

"Didn't you see how fast she moved? There is no way she isn't like him," Kinera nodded to Leon before following into the ruins. "Besides, I bet there are many forms magic can take, isn't there?"

"Yeah...that was speed was inhuman...there's no possible way that she could have done that unless 1.) Shadow isn't human and 2.) She has magic that increases her speed.." He picked up Rayl's naginata and handed it to him.

Kinera shrugged and waited for Rayl and Kenji, she was about to burst with questions but for some reason she couldn't ask them. She wanted to learn so next time, she could make Shadow eat her words!

Kinera thought about it before nodding to Rayl, "Come on." Waited a few more seconds for Rayl and Kenji before going to where Leon and Shadow were.

Kenji shrugged and went through the enterance gate, walking into a huge run-down courtyard. In the middle of it was Mr. Leon and Shadow overlooking a graveyard. Crosses, tombstones, and a variety of rusted weapons laid as grave markers.
"What..?" Kenji looked around the place. He could imagine the greatness this building was before it was destroyed and worn down by time.

Rayl stared in awe at the graves as he walked up to one he began to read, "Here lies Hyate 'Erim' Hinotama, sister of Reis 'Iris' Hinotama." Rayl reads right below the name and date of death, "Do not doubt that a small group of commited people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that has." Rayl took a step back in great surprise, "Kinera... isn't that what mother and father used to tell us?!"

Kinera looked at her brother for a moment before slowly nodding, "Yeah, I remember them saying that all the time. It got annoying at times but they always seemed to believe it as law." Kinera looked about her seeing that everything around her was a grave. "Did you know any of these people?"
