Nyunya truly hadn't expected Taabu to do something quite like that, and was understandably surprised - so surprised, in fact, that she'd not had even a smidgeon of reaction time in which to jump out of the way, or even attempt to. No, he landed squarely on top of her before she'd even had a chance to gape.

Knocked to her side by his considerable bulk, when compared to hers, she wiggled beneath him for a few moments before finally realising the complete and utter futility of it. So she lets herself go limp with an adorable pout, pinned to the ground by his weight - a quite comfortable one, she found.

Looking up at him, she replies dryly, "No, I guess I don't." After a beat, she adds, playfully, a brow arching again, "Are you going to get off me, you big brute?"

This, again, shows Ny's rather naive outlook on males. A big monster of a male has her pinned quite helplessly beneath his form, and she's not even the slightest bit concerned. Not that Taabu would hurt her, but anyone with a lick of sense about men would realise they couldn't be fully sure. Tsk tsk.

Taabu smirked as he quirked his brow - stnading over the pretty little mistweaver flower, his tail flickering as he stared down at her. "Now, why on earth would I want to do that? Maybe I like being like this, eh?" He purred, wiggling his weight on top of her with a little chuckle.

Yeah, it looked innocent enough - right? He wouldn't dare tell her that he wasn't moving because he was being attacked by the butterflies swelling inside him.

With a little wriggling and one unladylike grunt, the paler lion manages to move into a more comfortable position, a little on her side still, but mostly on her back now. She mutters under her breath all the while, her words just too quiet for Taabu to hear... which might be a good thing.

In this new position, she places her paws on his chest, pushing lightly. No point putting any effort into it; even if she did, the likelihood of her being able to push this hunk of muscle off her is pretty much nil. The butterflies that had been parading in her abdomen seem to have settled down to a contained thrill that affects the smile on her face, making it just a little crooked, as it always goes when it's a true smile.

"Taabu, I have a question. How do you plan to show me around your home if I'm stuck under you, you big lump?" She manages to keep a fairly innocent expression for this, too, despite the hint of challenge in her eyes, with something... else.

It was a little sigh that found his lips as he heard her words, a frown fixing itself quite blatantly upon his maw. Now why did she have to go and ruin his fun with a silly little question like that? He shrugged slowly, tail flickering as he glanced away to the horizon - a habit of his that one might begin to attribute to nerves at this point in the game.

"Well I suppose that I can't show you much of my beautiful land with you pinned like that," he muttered, slowly beginning to pull himself away - then, with a grin of true amusement stretched across his mocha mug, he licked her cheek and took a great leap over her form.

It was laughter that found his jowls then as he glanced back over his shoulder at her, a brow quirked in her general direction, "not bad for a big lump, eh?" He chuckled, starting to saunter off - would she follow? Attack him? Or just sit there and pout?

Ah, Taabu and his games - right spitting image of his mother, really, inside and out.

He licked her cheek?

To hide her surprise and the sudden explosion of butterfly fluttering, she takes her time as she rolls to her feet, shaking herself to remove the dust and clinging blades of grass from her pristinely white fur. She was sort of unsure what to do now, didn't know how to respond to that, if there was any way to. But she'd be damned if he'd get the better of her.

That's when an idea came to her.

Smirking, she pranced daintily over to him, rubbing herself lightly against his side as she passed, only to flick him on the nose with the black tuft of her tail as she takes the lead. A few steps away from him, she turns again, calling back to him, "So, what are you going to show me first?" As calmly as though nothing had happened, except for that smirk.

Now, everyone knows that Taabu is never surprised - never baffled, forever calm and collected; just like his mother before him. But what they hadn't seen was the way he acted when Nyunya thrust her little self out into the open to taunt him.

He couldn't exactly explain whatever this new feeling in the pit of his stomach was - not the butterflies, but something similar and not all at the same time. He took a deep breath, glad the flush in his cheeks wasn't visible through his dark pelt, and watched as she sauntered off in front of him. Why did he suddenly feel.. wrong?

"I don't know, Ny," he breathed as he walked after the girl, then smirked as a thought hit him. He narrowed his eyes at the little princess - or whatever she would like herself to be called. Then he flicked his tail and took a leap - pouncing her yet again, but with a smirk on his maw. "I changed my mind, I'd rather like to stay right here."

That - and all the cover around them made him feel at ease somewhat.

Oh, but how right Denge had been! He was most certainly at 'that age'. Poor Nyunya.

All right, now this she recognised - hormones. Mostly because she had a few of her own, and his new change of demeanour wasn't exactly helping. It made her uncomfortable - both in a good way and a bad. What she needed right now, however, was to get this big lump off her so she could figure out what the hell this bizarre urge was.

Seems the petite little beauty was 'that age', too.

"Come oooooon," she whines, pushing at him again with her paws, and really hoping he'll move this time. "I want to see where you live. I want to see all this land has to offer."

It was a deep breath that filled his lungs, his body quivering very slightly though he was trying to ignore it. He watched her, those brilliant sapphire eyes staring down at her - into the ones that matched nearly so perfectly, despite the lack of common genes in their background.

"I can show you what I have to offer, Nyunya," he breathed, feeling that caged heart beating a hundred miles an hour.

That's when he frowned, swallowing hard and beginning to move backwards, moving off of her body as his tail stopped moving and fell into a more tucked position, "I'm sorry.." He whispered it, eyes dropping away from hers.

What was happening to him? His mother had most certainly never prepared him for this.

It had taken a few moments for that comment and the meaning behind it to sink in, and at first she hadn't known whether to laugh or cuff him around the head for it. Maybe even both. His apology, however, had dampened the urge to do the latter of the pair.

As he backed off her, she sat up, again having to think about how she should react to this. It was quite an awkward situation, no doubt about that, and she wanted to alleviate the sudden tension around them.

"Hey," she murmured, raising herself to her feet and moving over to him, gently nudging his shoulder with hers. "It's ok. It's not like I expect you to be able to control yourself. I am beautiful, after all," she says in a quietly teasing tone. Giving him the gift of making light of what could have been a terrible situation, if she had been in a different mood, or if she'd been a different lioness. She was effectively saving whatever little, confusing relationship existed between them.

Taabu chuckled at her, no matter how out of place he felt about the current situation. He supposed he had to let himself calm down somehow, and what better way than listening to her silly little jokes? Not that she wasn't pretty - but that was certainly not a comment she meant for him to take seriously.

"Nyunya, maybe you should head back to Liza before it gets too late," he murmured, tail flickering as he glanced at her. Was he trying to get her to go away? Probably - he wanted to calm down, he wanted to think, he wanted to know why Nyunya made him crazy.

But he certainly didn't want her to go, all at the same time.

He laid down, slowly, flopping into a sphinx-esque position. He was confused.

"Liza?" she asks quietly. "No." She shakes her head slowly, lowering herself to sit beside him. "Liza's been there almost since I've been a cub, and sometimes... a day to myself is heaven. Or even, just a day without him in it. He's a good friend and companion, but being with him all day every day can grate on you."

Flicking her tail behind her, she adds, "And you still haven't shown me any more than this lovely patch of grass we're sitting in, Taabu."

"Fine," Taabu breathed as he began to push himsle fup onto his paws. True, her comments about Liza made his insides flutter again with butterflies - knowing then that nothing could indeed stand in his way of Nyunya, though what purpose he wanted her for was not quite clear, even to himself.

"I'll take you to go see the cliffs, they're beautiful, and maybe if you're lucky you can meet my mother - she lingers are up there now since she's with cubs and doesn't want to go too far from her den," he nodded, glancing to her as he flickered his tail.

"They're this way," he muttered as he began to walk, secretly hoping he didn't have to show Nyunya to his dad just yet - the look he could already see in his mother's eyes was enough. She had already been probing him regularly on why he had that far-away thinking look all the time.

Meet the parents? A bit soon for that, wasn't it? She squashed that train of thought before it could go further, feeling both amused and confused by it. Didn't really want to dwell on what was making her think like that.

"I'd like to meet her. But... are there waterfalls here, Taabu?" she asks, as she begins to follow him, unable to keep a little hope from her voice. She was feeling homesick, though she'd never fully admit it. Perhaps seeing the waterfalls, if there were any, would make it a little less.

Taabu frowned and shook his head, tail flickering as he glanced to her, "No, I'm afraid we don't. We have other things though.. We have a swampy river, a forrest, a really strong river with step stones, and hills - thatI call cliffs because I always thought they were when I was young."

He watched her for a moment, sighing softly, "I'm sorry it's not much like your home here, Nyunya."

Well, she could hardly expect there to be waterfalls wherever she went, could she? She knew this. It had just been a small hope. The realisation that there was no waterfall here hadn't hurt much. Really. It hadn't.

"It's all right. I didn't really expect it to be. I was just curious." Shrugging it off with a smile, she thinks back over what he'd said. "Forest, you say? That sounds interesting, though. I do like to lose myself in the trees."
