In Marie's room, in her large house in Durem, it was a bit messy. Her bed wasn't fixed, it was dusty, papers were floating around, her desks were unorganized...She was very busy at the moment. She kept running all over the room searching for certain papers, running back to the computer to type something, and attempting half-heartedly to make the room slightly less messy. And back again. At her bedside table sat a bowl of water, which was beginning to turn warm. In it was Taki. She was floating in it. She always seemed to hate it when her water began to turn warm, for she would seem restless.
A young woman crept past the room. She had long dark hair and blue eyes. Surprisingly, that was the same hair and eye color that Marie had. She was wearing a long light blue kimono (mingled with some purple, blue, and white) along with a dark blue sash. She was also wearing sandals. She looked like she didn't want to be seen as she walked by, but Marie saw her anyway. She beamed.
"Luna!" she called. "Luna! Good! You're here! And in your human form! Say, can you change Taki's water?"
The girl just wrinkled her nose in disgust, glaring at the bowl. Marie frowned.
"Oh, don't give me that look. You want to be a mama some day, ne? And you know that Taki needs to stay in cool water. Please, it won't take more than two minutes tops."
Luna Selene, the synix, just grumbled and stomped into the room. She snatched up the china bowl, causing some water to spill out from the side, and brought it to the bathroom in Marie's room. The egg began to float toward her, but she pushed it back to the other side of the bowl. She wanted nothing to do with this thing. She slammed the bowl into the sink and picked Taki up with her two fingers, placing it on the side carelessly.
For a fleeting moment, she glanced at the drain in the sink longingly, and then looked back at Taki. At that moment, she could drop Taki down into the sink and no one would be able to stop her. The egg seemed to sense this, for it quivered and edged about a half-centimeter away. Luna sighed and tried to bring peace to herself. She was fascinated with Buddha, and tried to listen to his wise words. She then ran the cold water (without any hot water, mind you) and filled the bowl to whatever amount. Not that she cared, anyway. She dropped Taki into the bowl carelessly and went into the bedroom, placing the bowl onto the bedside table.

"You're kidding," whispered Olivia.
She, Luna Selene, and Aymery were sitting in the kitchen, talking. They usually did this. Sometimes it would be only two of them, but there was always a meeting. Sometimes even Lilitha joined them. But not this time. Because they were talking about Lilitha.
"Nope," said Luna, crossing her heart. "I think Lilitha might like that little unborn monster."
"Why?" asked Aymery. "I thought you said that she likes humans. Why would she like something that wants to make mama all weary?"
Luna shrugged. She pulled out a chair and sat on it. Olivia was perched on the edge of a chair. Aymery was lying comfterably on the floor. "I dunno. I tried to tell her about it, but you know how she is towards synix."
Aymery's ears perked up. "And I bet," he began slowly, as though deep in thought, "that since mama thinks that it's alright, Lilitha must agree with her, since she's a human. She proabably won't listen to anyone else, then," he added glumly.
Suddenly, Marie came down the stairs, shouting. All eyes turned on her. She was holding Taki in her hands. The egg was limp, even though it was usually lively in Marie's hands. Marie glared at Luna with furious eyes. She thrust out the egg in her direction.
"Tell me," she growled, "What's wrong with her."
Luna blinked. It wasn't very often to see an angry Marie. So she reached out and touched the egg, then yelped and pulled her hand away. "She's...cold," said Luna. "Freezing."
"That's because of the water that you put her in, Luna Selene! The water was freezing! You could have killed her! She's not moving! I know you don't like her, Luna, but...Did you have to--How could you--" She didn't finish. Instead, she ran back into her room, slamming the door.
Luna's mouth was left slightly open. She closed it. She really didn't be careful in this matter, but she wasn't trying to kill Taki. She really wasn't. She just...Oh, well. She wasn't going to die. Marie said so. She turned to her siblings. They looked as though they were both forcing back grins.
"Well," said Olivia. "That was surprisingly clever of you. You didn't kill her and you still managed to not give her a good night's sleep." Luna frowned, then laughed. She was right. She had shown the little devil who was boss.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marie's diary:
I'm so ashamed. They hate her. They really do. And I just...I just expected them to not do anything about it. I'm so stupid. So stupid. I hope Taki's going to be okay. She's been moving a little. I'm trying to put her in warm water, to wear off the cold for a while. She's beginning to move again. I'll stay awake all night if I have to, just to make sure she's okay.

The growth of Taki!This also happens to be an RP in the shop! Yay!
Allure .. ::Allure moved a hand to her shoulder, to scoop the small egg into her palm .. She blinked, looking up at the shop. It seemed to just generate magic from within, and Rune started to wobble and react more when she would move closer to it. Allure didn't even notice that the egg was starting to glow, and the colors upon the rainbow curl had started to saturate and become brighter..:: .. A Wethkin.. shop? .. ::Tilting her head to the side, she advanced more until she was at the door .. She pushed herself onto her tippie-toes, and lifted a brow, attempting to look in through the window. Pressing lightly against the obstruction, she glanced left to right, trying to see if anyone was inside. Allure didn't realize that she was pressing a little too hard on the door .. it suddenly BURST open and she tripped inside. Flailing wildly, but still holding onto Rune, she JUST barely missed hitting the ground, and a large sweatdrop suddenly appeared, growing and drooping next to her face..:: .. Err..! Aven "HIYA! WELCOME TO THE WETHKIN HQ!" Aven opened her eyes, and blinked. "You found it on your own! Wow..... XD" Aven laughed, and went over to hug Allure, puffs asleep on top of her head Allure .. ::The sweatdrop continued to linger beside her face, almost getting so close that Allure could undergo yet another shower today. The magic that pulsated throughout the room was breathtaking, and Rune seemed to enjoy it quite well.:: Aven! .. Wethkin headquarters? I had no idea something of this sort was here. You mean, there are more people who have discovered Wethkins ... like us? Wethkins like Rune, Calli and Aure? ::Her fingers seperated slowly, and her palm stretched upwards, flattening slightly. Rune levitated somewhat faster than before, and seemed to answer "Yes" to Allure's spoken and unspoken questions. She couldn't help but smile to Rune's reactions. Suddenly, a powerful aroma came and tingled her senses .. it was the scent of shushu berries, and something else ... what could it be? Perhaps there were more items here that Rune would react to? Hmm..!:: This is amazing! Heartless Heartless sat in her usual chair and took out a book. All her *wethkin* friends have gotten one. Why did it seem so impossible for her? Heartless didn't know why. She had practiced for ages and wanted one so bad. "I will get a wethkin.... I will get a wethkin...." she murmured. Looking at all the happy wethkin owners, she couldn't help but let a smile crawl upon her face. suddenly feeling lonely, Heartless returned to her book, her smile turning to it's usual line, almost a frown. Aven "Yep! I can name lots off of the top of my head!" She smiled, pushing back her hair and motioning to a chair. "Uhm, what are you smelling? Ah! Maybe the Antennae potion." She smiled, and motioned to the shelves closer to the back of the head quarters. Marie Marie rushed down the street with wide eyes, her palms cupped together as though something was in it. She skidded to a halt at the corner, and then she took a turn and began running again. She peered inside a shop. No....This wasn't the wethkin shop. But she had seen it before. In fact, she had seen it just before-- The wethkin shop! She passed two buildings and looked inside the third one. Yes. This was it. She went inside. What was that girl's name? That she had seen before? Oh yes, Aven. Aven was the one who informed her about the wethkin. Marie looked around. "Aven?" she called softly. Allure ::Allure noticed a girl that was sitting in a chair to her left ... I wonder who else is in here..? ^^ She smiled towards her, and started to part her lips to speak, but she didn't want to interrupt her reading. Once she caught the girl looking up from the text, she lifted a hand to wave slowly, and mouth a friendly "Hello!":: .. Oh? .. ::Leaning all of her weight on one foot, she spun around to face Aven once again. Her lips came together, and moved slightly along her face as she thought to herself. This was followed by a head-tilt and a shrug..:: Antennae potion? ::Her head lowered, and she spoke softly, remembering that the girl in the chair was reading...:: I've never heard of such a concoction! But if it smells as good as Shushu berries, I sure would like to see it.. Maybe Rune would like it? ::Rune still moved in response, the glow starting to become brighter ... but Allure thought it was merely the sun reflecting off of the beautiful egg. She had no idea something was going to happen very soon..:: Aven "Marie, darling! What's up?" Aven smiled, and waved. "Uh, lemme guess, you lost the baskets? No prob, I can get some new ones for you. The girls and I will find some materials to make them^^" Her two puffs 'nodded' in excitement. "Yes, when a puff, or any other aged wethkin drinks it, they grow beautiful butterfly feelers, it's very cute on most." She smiled, and picked up a small bottle, it was purple. "See? It's baby-sized! " Her puffs seemed to giggle as well, but then thought about the baby comment.... upset puffs! GRAH. Marie Marie sighed. "No, no, no! I didn't lose the baskets! But look!" She held out her hands. Her wethkin egg was glowing brightly. "I dunno what's wrong! Is it sick? Look! Yesterday I put asked one of my, er, children to change her water, but they made it freezing! I think she might be sick! Aven, you know about wethkin. Do you know what's going on?" Allure ::Rune started to react even more when yet another person entered the shop. The magic started to grow, she could feel it now ... But it seemed like it was coming from .. Rune? Glancing down, she finally caught the pulsating light that generated from within Rune. The rainbow colors started to flow and change, like the spectrum was traveling across the egg..:: .. Oh I see..! ::She became distracted, yet again ... Time was getting short, something was going to occur very soon..!:: Butterfly antennae, really? That would be so adorable to see.. ::She nodded in agreement, and then turned to the new comer that had entered. Glancing down, she saw that her egg was glowing as well..:: ... Wait .. th-the same thing is happening to my Wethkin as well ... ::With outstretched arms, she revealed the brilliant rainbow egg that became even brighter when getting closer to the other shell:: Aven "MWEE! YOU EGGY IS GLOWING! IT MEANS IT'S GETTING READY TO HATCH!" Aven was completely ecstatic, dancing around like she did when she was pretending to be in a fairy circle. "TUTUTUTUTU!" Calli squeaked in happiness, joining the dancing. "YAAAAAAAAY!" Aure danced around as well, giggling. Marie Marie gasped at the other girl with her rainbow egg. "Really? What could that mean--" Her jaw dropped at Aven. "You--You mean she--" She stared at the tiny egg in her hands. Hatching. The word seemed so foreign to her all of the sudden. Her baby was hatching. Allure ::Allure's eyes grew wide ... and her eye brows raised so high that they almost touched her hairline! .. She could feel the sweat begin to form within her hands and along her brow. Nervousness and excitement started to flutter within her stomach..:: Getting ready to hatch!? .. Already? .. Wow! Well .. er.. Congrats! ::She smiled, laughing that nervous laugh that she would give when she didn't know what was going to come next. Allure was glad, though, that she could share this experience with others, and that Rune would hatch along with another Wethkin!:: I can't believe it ..! Marie "Congrats to you, too!" Marie could barely choke out the words to the other owner. Her hands trembled so much that she almost dropped the glowing little egg. She placed it on the table and watched it. She held her breath. Heartless Swearing she saw someone look over her shoulder, Heartless looked around. The only person she saw was Allure, a girl who's wethkin is the beautiful rainbow, Rune. There were other people in there, Aven, Marie, and others, but nobody seemed close enough to be able to loom over her. Allure was hovering over the antennae potions, Aven chatting animatedly to her. Marie was looking around nervously, as though she were a new student in a class that's been together since preschool. "The flames swirled around his finger, and the young hovalyn ached to screech in pain, but he kept a straight face and tried to ignore the pain..." Heartless muttered, looking around. That's just like my case... Everyone has a wethkin, and I want to scream with jealousy and rage. But I know not to do so, and that it would make me seem like a baby. Heartless marked the page in her book. Picking up her bag, she counted the gold she had. "Twelve thousand...." she murmured. Looking desperately at the others, she held her head up high. I can get one, I know I can. But... if I can, why haven't I gotten a wethkin yet? Feeling jealousy in her Heart, Heartless opened her book again and sunk back into the depths of the book..... Aven "Yes, hatch. My baby was adopted, so I don't know about hatching very much, but I've studied on wethkins a lot since I met Pika." She smiled, and saw Rune glow. "Eep! Rune will too!" Aven began to dance even more, smiling and singing with her two wethkin, who screeched more than sang... but hey, they're babies... Allure ::She was in a somewhat stunned state ... Allure had grown so used to her beautiful Wethkin's shell that she wondered what Rune really looked like underneath. A blush graced her cheeks, as she followed the same suit as the other owner, setting her egg ever so gently upon the table top. Perhaps the two eggs being together, during this time, will encourage them to hatch faster? Calli and Aure's joy should make them feel comfortable to come out too! :: .. I'm Allure by the way .. it's nice to meet you! ::She gave another smile, holding out her hand towards the other owner:: Marie Marie's heart thumped painfully in her chest. The glowing was beginning to soften, enough for her to see a crack in her egg. She gasped. Another crack, and another, and then the glowing was back, more than ever. She covered her eyes, and opened them again. The glowing faded once more. And she could tell that there was something else in the egg's place. She looked to the other girl, and smiled. "My name's Marie," she said politely. She could not tell exactly what the egg was now. The glowing had faded slightly, but it was still too bright to see. Aven Aven danced still, and saw her wethkins go and settle around Rune's egg, cuddling to it. "That is so adorable~!" She snugged Allure, and seemed as happy as a mother who's children just made best friends. Allure ::With a smiling nod, she finished the greeting, and her attention turned back to the two eggs upon the table. Each had started to crack .. which scared Allure within, she didn't want anything to go wrong .. but she knew in her heart that it would be okay. The glowing was so extensive, that it was even brighter than the shining sun outside ... she could not see anymore ... she had to close her eyes!:: Heartless Seeing the girls hunched around Allure's rainbow egg, Heartless felt a surge of jealousy rushing through her. She sent a jealous glare at the three of them. What was going on? Seeing Marie smile and introduce herself, (although she knew her name, Hearltess hadn't actually met her before) her expression softened, and her heart became lighter. She gave Marie a small smile and decided to walk over to the three. Allure, whose face was glowing with happiness, stared hard at her hands. Heartless saw what they were all staring at. Amazed, she gasped and said, "Is that.... a rainbow puff?" Marie Marie saw yet another girl walk over and beamed at her. "Hello!" she said cheerfully. She stared at Allure's egg. Well...before it was an egg. "It's beautiful, Allure!" she said with a hint of dreaminess. Allure ::The Wethkin fluttered around within Allure's hands, it seemed so proud to have that rainbow tail following behind .. Rune curled the tail around Allure's fingertips, and started to give excited fits of noise towards her chin..:: .. Mweee..! Mrrr..! Oh! H-hello~! ::She noticed the girl that was once quietly reading her book had approached. Allure was glad that she had joined them, and she gave a welcoming nod..:: .. Yes! You're right, this is Rune .. a rainbow Wethkin! ::So happy to share Rune's progress, Allure lifted the little one for the girl to see .. Rune turned towards her and closed it's eyes, continuing to speak nonsense excitedly..:: .. Rrrrrwa! ::She turned her head to Marie:: Aw.. Marie .. Thank you so much! Your Wethkin is gorgeous as well! What have you named your little one? ::Rune floated up and down, just so happy to be released and within the world .. It turned from side to side, looking at the girl, then Marie, and then the newly hatched Wethkin:: Heartless Giving Marie a small smile, Heartless stared at the puff in amazement. Marie Marie giggled. "Wow, Rune's tail is so pretty," she whispered. She glanced at her own wethkin, who was bouncing around the table Marie had set her on, before almost falling off. Marie giggled and caught her. "This is Taki. She's a showers egg." She smiled. (Sorry, had to eat dinner) Aven "OMG. THEY ARE SO ADORABLE!" Aven congratulated Marie and Allure, smiling. "Our babies WILL be best friends!" Aven striked a dramatic pose, and giggled. Marie "Awwww, how sweet!" squealed Marie. "They can have their own little best-friend group!" She folded her hands together as Taki slowly wobbled out of her hands and onto the table, gurgling happily at the other wethkin. Marie turned to the girl who had been reading. "So, ahem, I'm Marie. What's your name? Do you have a wethkin?" Allure Marie, Taki is so lovely! Wow, a showers egg? So cute..! ::She grinned at the showers wethkin.. then noticed two others bouncing across the room:: Calli! Aure! ::Allure called out to the Wethkins that were following Aven around, and she kneeled downwards, to reveal Rune to them..:: .. Can you believe this is little Rune? The same one that we found when we were following that Rainbow just a little while ago? ::Rune bounced up and down happily, eyes growing wide when looking upon Calli and Aure .. that smile growing wider and wider across the puff's face...:: ... Rrrrrweee! I think that it would be wonderful, having all these Wethkins as close friends .. ^^; I can't wait to see what other kinds of Wethkins are out there.. Marie Marie squealed again. "You found Rune in a rainbow? That must've been so cool!" She clapped her hands together and giggled as she watched Taki. The wethkin puff herself was busy trying to get Rune's attention. "Bwoo-gooo..." she said happily, giggling with excitement. Allure Yes! Can you believe that ...? It was such an extremely unique experience .. I was looking out the window, and this glorious rainbow appeared in the sky .. I told Aven that I was determined to find what was at the end of it .. ::She closed her eyes for a moment, thinking back to that day ... and she gave an amused laugh!:: Where did you find your little one, Marie? ::Rune perked, and tilted slightly .. his [ I've decided that Rune has more male-tendancies, even though Wethkins are genderless. ^^; ] back was turned to Taki's .. then quickly he rolled around and zipped towards Taki, swirling around the showers Wethkin at such fast speeds, that she was now momentarily bound in the glittering rainbow tail..:: .. Mmmmrwee! ::Rune's eyes closed as he gave a huge smile, and then hovered up more for the tail to loosen and free the puff..:: Reee! Marie Marie laughed. "Funny story, actually. I was sitting on my fire escape when it was raining and then there was this raindrop that this kid was looking at downstairs. Said he found it. He didn't know what to do with it and he was about to throw it out, so I took it. I didn't know it was an egg until it started bouncing." She laughed again, recalling the scene. Taki's eyes widened at the shimmering, multi-colored tail. "Oooooooh," she squeaked, rubbing it with her watery cheek. She made a sound somewhere between a gurgle and a purr and laughed happily. "Gawaki quolo cooler(cooler=color)! Kapaka fuzz!" she complimented to Rune. Allure Wow! ::She raised a brow as Marie told her the story of discovering Taki. She shook her head with amazement:: You're so lucky that you noticed what was going on when you did! Could you imagine what would have happened if he had thrown Taki away? I'm glad you had the chance to keep her! ::Rune kept a mischevious little smile on his face, as he floated just above Taki, letting his tail tickle along her moist face. The colors seemed to change and shift as he moved from left to right. His head tilted to the side, while he tried to understand what the puff was saying..:: Rr-r-rrweee! .. Brweee! Mreeo? Mieee! ::He bounced even more with his excitement, attempting to play along with Taki, tickling her still:: ^__^ Marie Marie nodded gravely. "Yeah. I suppose..." She checked her watch. "Oh, wow! Did that much time pass! I have to go! I'm sorry! Maybe Rune and Taki can play again some other time? C'mon, Taki!" She picked up the little puff and ran through the door. (I gotta go. It's late) Taki looked up miserably. They had to leave? Already? But--but--she made a new friend! She wanted to play! She turned to Rune as she was place in Marie's palm. "Gua gua," she apologized. "Bai!" And with that, she was swept through the door with Marie. Allure Aw, alright .. Goodbye! It was nice meeting you, and Taki .. and seeing her hatch. ::She kneeled downwards, scooping Rune into her arms. Allure could tell the little puff was saddened as well to see his new playmate go.:: Brwee? .. Bieee..? Bai..? ::Rune squeaked sadly .. mimicing the other Wethkin's words..:: .. Aw, that was good, Rune .. You're right. ::She smiled, cuddling him close.:: Bye!

AvenKimi Kimi pranced into said area with Nicco. "Hello all!" Kimi said. "What's up?" "I want to play with the little puffs!" Nicco whined, floating by Kimi's ear. "Sheesh, alright, go!" she said in annoyance. "But you have to ask them first." She pointed at Aven and Allure. Allure ::Allure turned and smiled to the girl that had just entered, it was someone else that she hadn't met yet, but she was so surprised to see her Wethkin! It was the first one in child form that she had ever seen!:: Hello! ..And, wow! What a gorgeous Wethkin you have there..! Kimi "Yeah, yeah," Nicco said, slicking his hair back, enjoying the attention. "I know... tell me more!" "You're so modest," Kimi muttered sarcastically to Nicco before turning to the girl who had spoken. "Hi, I'm Kimi 'n' this is my wethkin Nicco." Nicco grinned as he heard his name. "What's your name?" Marie Marie walked down the street, whistling happily as Taki rolled through her hair, exploring. Any other day, she probably would have scolded the little thing softly and put her in her hands. But it was getting hot, and it was nice to have a cool, wet feeling in your hair. They reached the shop and walked in. Marie had only been in here a few times, but already it was beginning to feel like home. At the same time, Taki was looking around. She searched her brain particles for what this place was. It was very farmiliar, but Taki was quite scatterbrained and wasn't the first to remember something. She remembered a hatching egg, and a rainbow wrapped around herself, and other puffs....Aha! This was the place where she hatched! She had friends here! She slid down her mother's arm, leapt of her hands, and landed on a table an inch away. Marie giggled. Taki called out a greeting of, "Guakabobobo!" Allure .. W-whoa .. Nicco can speak perfectly too? ::She stood there, absolutely stumped .. A tingle of excitement ran throughout her body, she could not wait utnil Rune was in that stage!:: Oh! I'm Allure .. ::She smiled, and dug into her hair, attempting to pull Rune out to reveal him:: .. And this is my newly hatched wethkin, Rune! ::Holding the puff out, she gestured him towards Nicco, wanting him to come out and play.:: Kimi "Yeah, Nicco can talk," Kimi said. "But sometimes I wish he couldn't." "Shut up," Nicco said. "You're more annoying than I am." "Anyway, nice to meet you," Kimi said to Allure. Then she turned to Rune. "Nice to meet you too!" Nicco floated towards Rune and smiled at him/her/it. "I like us when we're puffs," Nicco grinned. "We're cute!" Marie Marie looked around. Ah. There were two people here. She picked up her puff in her hands, not noticing her angry protests, and waved at the two. She gazed curiously at the child wethkin, not knowing it for what it was at the moment. She had never seen a child wethkin before. Taki gawked at the two other wethkin, especially Rune. She knew him! He was her friend! She did not care that the other wethkin was a child. She wasn't the kind to pick one over the other because they were different. Allure Heh! He's so adorable! I can't wait until Rune can talk, then I can figure out exactly what he's saying..! ::She laughed at the interaction between Kimi and Nicco, it was great! What personality that Wethkin had, she hoped that some of that would rub off onto Rune.:: ::Hearing someone else enter the shoppe, she turned only to see Marie, and she gave a quick wave:: .. 'ello! C'mere! ::She curled her fingers, then pointing in their direction:: Mmmrwee? ::Rune tilted his fuzzy head at Nicco, and then gave an overly large, stupid grin. Oh boy, Nicco had a brand new fan! Rune hovered up slightly, and curled around Nicco's upper body, then he pressed his forehead agianst the child's face:: .. Myoo..! Kimi "Aww, he likes me!" Nicco said smiling at Rune. Then he turned to Kimi. "See, he likes me!" "I can see you're head swelling as we speak," Kimi said, laughing. "Shut up!" Nicco gave Rune a little noogie. Allure ::Rune gave a soft little coo'ing sort of sound, and then fell over onto the floor with a thud! His two little forehead bumps were starting to sprout! Was the antenae potion starting to kick in more now? He blinked his eyes, and realized he was positioned upside down now ... just within his gaze was Marie! Then to his amusement he noticed Taki as well! What a great day..!:: Bbbbreee..! ::That was his attempt to tell the little watery Wethkin to come down:: Marie Marie smiled and walked up to the two ladies. "Hi," she said softly. Whatever confidence she had when coming in here, whatever feeling she had that she was a farmiliar here, was fading. Fast. She looked at the Allure and the other girl, standing a few inches away from them. She would find out what they were talking about, first. Then step in. Taki tilted her head to one side. What was this peculiar behavior was emerging from Rune? And who was this big person? She jumped up and down. "Bawooo!" she called, trying to get attention. Unlike Marie, she wasn't nervous of joining in. She looked down at her friend, grinned, and jumped to the floor. Luckily, she landed on a pillow. "Kaw!" Kimi Nicco's eyes widened as Rune fell to the floor. He looked at Kimi, fearfully. "I didn't do it, I swear!" he said. "He did that to himself!" Allure Hey Marie! ::She was happy to see her! She felt as though she could relate to Marie because their Wethkins had hatched together, at the same time, on the same table!:: .. I'm glad to see you again! This is Kimi! ::She nodded her head towards her..:: And that's her Wethkin child, Nicco! .. Can you believe our little ones will transform into something like him one day? Marie Marie blinked at Allure, and then grinned. "That's....A child?" She beamed. "He's so adorable! Taki! You're gonna turn into something like that someday!" Taki barely glanced up at her mother. Mommies were weird. Really. She ignored her squealing mother and began to mindlessly speak gibberish to Rune. "Aga! Gwue-gwue boo-boo! Durap gidgoni, a bap po supo shop! Wefkin!" Kimi Nicco smiled, enjoying all the attention he was getting and relieved that Rune didn't hurt himself when he fell. Allure Nyaa .. ::Rune smiled up at Taki and Nicco, and he rolled over, then returned to his normal hovering state. He nodded .. slowly .. at what Taki was saying, trying his hardest to understand. In response, he gave the same sort of unknown babble.. figuring that if he practices now, he'll soon be able to interact with everyone!:: Mweee.. eeero? Brrruu..! ::Allure was so amused watching the three Wethkin interacting with one another, but she couldn't help but wonder how many more Wethkin might be out there? And what lay in the path of Rune's future? Hmm..:: .. Aww, look'it them. Kimi "I don't understand," Nicco said, listening to Rune and Taki babble. "Gah, what are they saying?!" "I don't know," Kimi said. "You never did that when you were little... you were quiet all the time... sometimes I miss it." "......." Nicco turned back to the puffs to try and decipher their speech. "I'm kidding you know," she said. "Yeah, yeah..." Marie Marie folded her hands together. "They're so cute! But, eh, Allure, there are these two lumps on Rune's head...I dunno if you noticed. Are they bug bites?" Taki grinned and nodded. Apparantly, she thought she could understand this talk! "Abubyer!" She frowned slightly. Wait. There was another language to this stuff, right? One that people didn't make up from the top of their heads? Well, she knew a few words. Maybe she could learn more? She stared at her friend. "R--R--Roo-oon. Ro-oon! Rune!" She beamed. Allure Hrm? ::She bit her lip, looking at the hovering Rune ...:: .. I'm not sure .. He was playing around the other day, over by a shelf full of potions .. When he fell over ... He seems to do that a lot.. And caused a little poition to spill on him.. I'm not really sure if that is the cause of those lumps, or maybe it's from the fall? He seems to be quite active still though.. ::Almost as if on cue, the Wethkin bounced up with excitement. He felt so encouraged and inspired, hearing Taki speak his name ... Rune! That was him~! Whee! He pounced on top of Taki's head, then pushed his way off .. only to land on Nicco's! Bouncing again, he flew up ontop of the table that was near by .. and he rolled along the top of it, until he ran into a stack of books, which stopped his momentary adventure journey:: ... @.@; .. Mmrew...! .. Eh .. heh, heh? ... ::A LARGE sweatdrop formed on the side of her head, and levitated there ... accompanying her just like Rune would:: .. Maybe he found the extra Shushu berries that I've seen sitting around here ... or maybe a random pile of sugar..? Kimi "I think you're puff thinger has ADHD," Nicco said, rubbing his head. Kimi laughed. Marie Marie stroked her chin thoughtfully. "Well, I'm sure no one would put some dangerous potions in here. Maybe it was like, a test potion. With shu-shu berries in it. I'm sure it was just a side-affect, or something." Taki grinned at Rune's playfulness. And all at a name! "Rune!" she called, hopping to his side at the book-stack. "Rune! Boogo to bada!" she gabbed, which was probably somewhere along the lines of asking if he was okay. Allure Myo! ::Rune peeked his head over the edge of the table, his eyes closing into that happy, crescent-moon slit; and his mouth dropped open, forming to become an overly excited smile. He slid his tail over the side as well, and curled it up and down, waving at the two on the floor:: ::She couldn't help but give a nervous laugh, while reaching her hand back to rub the back of her head, then fix her hair somewhat from when Rune was attempting to make a nest out of it:: Well he uh, sure knows how to get a laugh or two? Eeeki..! ::He squeaked loudly, amused and overjoyed to see his friend accompany him at such great heights. He nodded his head up and down quickly to signify a yes, and he bounced his way around the surface ... looking for something to get into .. or knock over? What! Of course not ...!:: Marie Marie couldn't help but giggle at Allure's nervousness toward her puff. "He sure does!" Taki gurgled happily. She followed Rune excitedly. She wasn't exactly sure what he was doing, but no matter. She would follow her friends to the end of a building! But then again, she would jump off a building even without friends. Allure : biggrin un dun dun! It was time for yet another adventure! What kind of things would these little ones stumble upon? Rune floated his way along the wooden area, and he found a large empty jar, marked "Sparkle Dust". Although .. he had no idea what it meant! Anyhow, he pressed his head against the glass, then looked up. Yep, he figured he could jump it. Closing his eyes, and coiling his tail, he pushed himself up and up, atop the dust jar, and then yet again to another level of the bookshelf! He continued this pattern, looking for large objects, and finding himself at the next level, until he reached the very top. Rune could see over everyone's heads, as well as most of the store.. Hmm.. what interesting things..!:: Marie Taki tilted her head slightly. She wasn't very good at jumping, so she would just have to try a new talent she had discovered. She pressed herself on the glass of the jar, and pushed herself up, sliding upward and following her friend. She was soon a little tired, but still ready to follow the hyperactive Rune. Marie looked around and slid into a chair. She was tired, but she didn't want to dissapoint little Taki again. Last time, Taki had thrown a fit, wanting to see her friends again. So she just closed her eyes. She would take a nap. Just for a little while. Aven Aven had ran back into the shop after being pulled away from it, puffs and all. "Hullo!" She smiled nervously, her puffs seemed to sleep in her hair. "What'd I miss?" Allure ::She became concerned for Taki's sake, since she was already sure that Rune was a tough little guy, and he could take a few falls - or several. She had forgotten that Taki was a showers Wethkin, and she saw her move along just like water would - how clever! A smile was given towards the tired Marie, whom soon fell asleep..:: .. 'ey Rune, maybe you shouldn't go so fast hm?

Marie's diary:
Been buying Taki a few things lately. For her room. Well, it's not actually a room. It's a walk in closet in which I've installed a few shelves. It's the only closet on the second floor (where all of our rooms are since there's ten rooms in it) that isn't attached to a room. It's all the way down the hall. We were planning to make it a sort of bathroom closet or something, but I decided to give Taki some privacy. Since she can slide around all over the place it shouldn't be hard for her to come down to the floor. I've painted it gray. She seems to adore it. On one of the shelves I've placed a small pillow, where she can sleep. It's a bit big for her, but I assume that she'll want space, and plus, I suppose she'll get bigger as she grows older. I've also put the basket halves that I used to carry her in in there. I guessed that she might want to keep it to look at later. I put it on another one of the shelves, along with her other toys. She's got a few miniature dolls and a glass stone sort of thing that reflects a sort of rainbow. It reminds her of Rune, I think. She considers him a close friend (if not a best friend) and since she doesn't have a picture, that comes close enough.
On that topic, though, I think I need to start trying to explain to Taki that only rainbow wethkin can make...well...rainbows. Ever since she saw him make that mini-disco in a jar (which, by the way, was hilarious) she's been straining herself trying to do the same thing. I often find her turning purple from holding her breath for so long, or her cheeks turning red. She thinks being able to do things like that is "pretty" and "special." If only I could teach her that she's pretty and special in her own way! Poor dear.
I shouldn't break the news to her that quickly, though. I'd hate to ruin her mood at the moment! She's just so happy and excited! She's having the time of her life annoying Luna, who she happens to love the most out of her siblings, despite the incident. Perhaps she doesn't remember? Oh well. I suppose I shouldn't dwell on it. Luna's definately not going to pull anything like that again.
But will she?

Marie's diary:
Taki seems to be really happy with her room, now that it's all fixed up. I also told her about her not being able to make colors like Rune could. She seemed slightly upset at first, but soon that was all forgotten as she discovered a new talent. She can sprinkle out water from the little end of her antennae thing! Not very much, mind you, just a few drops at a time, but then again, she is very young. She's been practicing a lot lately. I hope she doesn't strain herself.
Ah! And Joy visited yesterday! Joy is a drow I adopted (sort of). She doesn't live with us, though. She lives at what I guess is a boarding school called "Rejected Materials." She seemed slightly shy and sort of blank, which is to be expected of her since she usually acts that way, but Taki seems to like her. Luna, Aymery, and Olivia seem a little scared of Joy because of the lifeless way she acts. I hope they lighten up soon. They kept in her room most of the time. Taki showed Joy a little dance that she's making up, and the ends of Joy's mouth twitched. We baked cookies, and we let Taki have a peice. She seems to love it, but doesn't like the chocolate chips in it. She loves the chocolate cookie itself, though. I have to say, she has excellent taste.

Taki was bored.
Taki was very bored.
Taki was bored to the MAX.
And there was nothing to do about it.
And not only was she bored, she was lonely, which was probably the cause of her boredom. Mommy and Aymery were gone. Taki had no idea why. Not that she cared about Aymery leaving. He, like most of her other siblings, hated her. She wasn't exactly sure that she didn't feel the same way, either. He was hyper and playful and, from what Taki heard, quite the pervert, whatever that meant. It was obviously something insulting. Luna and Olivia, who were the only two left in the house besides Taki, were whispering things to eachother in the kitchen at the small table (where they and Aymery usually had little meetings) and giggling happily. Taki always felt rather left out during these times, even though she didn't understand what anyone was talking about half the time. But it just felt like one of those things that siblings do. Siblings. The things that mommy was constantly telling her that she had. This, of course, had never been proven to her, except by Joy, who proved to be a loving sister, or at least, more loving than most of the other household residents.
At the moment, Taki was sitting in the sink. She was near the same color as the sink and it made a good hiding place, since she was camoflauged. She could hear what the others were saying without being glared at or anything. It was nice until...
She heard footsteps, as well as Luna saying, "Hold on. I'm gonna go wash my face. The sweat from the anticipation is killing me!"
Oh no! Taki bit her watery lip as she looked around. Where in the world was she gonna hide? her beetle-black eyes darted from side to side. The sound of footsteps was getting closer...
AH! Saved by the bell. Literally. The doorbell rang outside, and without bothering to wash her face, Luna ran out of the room, and the sudden sound of wingbeats told Taki that Olivia was going, too.
What was the big deal? What could Aymery and Marie have brought back that was so fascinating? Well, whatever it was, Taki was going to have to see it. She slid quickly up the sink and down the counter, to the floor. Ignoring the bits of dirt that she saw (which was much more visible to her eye since she was so small), she found herself rolling out toward the front door, where she got two pleasant surprises.
First she saw Aymery and Marie walking through the door. But though they were happier and sweatier than usual, that wasn't the surprise. The first surprise came after they did. Joy. The drow. She smiled fondly at Taki, who grinned in response. YAY! But wait...why did Aymery have to come just to get Joy?
That answer came with her next surprise. It was in Joy's arms. Luna and Olivia were both goggling at it. It was...a baby! But not a human baby. A baby like Aymery. He looked slightly different, though. He had a red eye and a black eye, instead of having spots, he had a few curvy lines on his fur. He had no horn, no mane. He was small and curled up into a ball.
Marie beamed. "Girls," she said. "This is Leonard. Aymery's son. Your nephew."

(A day with the bugs)
Taki and Leonard, her nephew, seemed to be the only people in the house having fun. Everyone else was annoyed at the bugs and were all trying to catch them, evren as Marie looked up how much her G pin would be worth. Taki just didn't understand. Why would anyone be so upset at the beautiful creatures Marie had started to bring home? Leonard and Taki were not allowed to play together, as, if you remembver, most of the other members in the house did not like Taki and Aymery would not allow his son to be so near her. However, after the cheerful attention that Leonard was being smothered with was over, Leonard did not have such a watchful eye over him and he and Taki found more time to spend with eachother.
So, the first thing that Taki did when she woke up that morning was call screechily "LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" She ignored the many butterflies that flew away from her "room," really a closet. She and Leonard, whose name she could not pronounce and simply said "Lee," had been collecting plants to attract the bugs, stuffing them in the second shelf of Taki's closet.
A few minutes later, a small red goat-ish creature came skidding down the hall. Taki grinned at him and he grinned back. She jumped onto his head and he grabbed the small bag of grass, putting it onto his back. Taki untied it with her teeth to attract the bugs to its smell, and they were off, opening the door with Aymery's paw. They stuffed the doorstopper there and watched as the bugs began flying through eagerly. Taki and her nephew giggled madly and they ran after them

"Alright, Taki," said Marie proudly as she patted down the soil on one of the floors of Taki's bedroom--AKA the second shelf of the closet.There were beautiful flowers on soil in it. Marie took the strip of wood that would keep the soil from falling out when Taki slid madly through. "Here. These are yours to take care of. Understand?" Taki nodded vigorously.
"Now," continued Marie. "You are a spring showers wethkin, and it is your responsibilty to help pretty things like this grow. Isn't that nice? Now, all you have to do to water them is roll through the dirt, and we all know you won't have a problem with that. Who knows--maybe the pretty little buggies will want to come and play in the flowers! And then they might have little babies that'll live here with you! And maybe"--she said this in a whisper--"if you're really good, we might give you other gardens through-ut the house. For now, though, this closet is really big, and if I get more flowers, I'll be sure to let you know." She grinned. "But first, I'll have to see how this turns out. Maybe I'll get a window so they'll get more sunlight."

Marie's Diary:
Heehee. Taki's so adorable. I think I just might have actuall done something right when I gave her that nice garden. She's really showing some responsibility! I find this extraordinary seeing as she's so young and has a short attention span, not to mention all the flowers are twice her size! She waters them once in the morning and once in the evening. Whenever I wake up in the morning and go to check on her I find her rolling throught the dirt and even giving sprinkles out of her head! Sadly, though, her water isn't enough to keep the plants living and I often have to give them some of my bottled water when passing by--when she isn't looking, of course.
Hoever, I have found yet another reasin to keep the plants. Taki is learning how to manage her powers because of them! Whenever I come to inspect them, I find that each time I have to add a little less water to them! Only about a drop less each time, though. I didn't even notice until after the first week and a half. This is good progress, though. Maybe soon she won't need my help at all! Bugs are flying to hang out, too. She's pretty excited about that...
Oh, who am I kidding, diary? T'm just using this whole garden thing as a cover-up for a terrivle mistake I keep making. Taki misses Rune. It sounds simple enough, Iknow, but it's this whole complicated thing. I'm a horrible parent. This happens to all my poor breedables. They don't even get a chance to make any real friends except one, and I screw even that up. I've just been going through the whole thing about moving and I couldn't afford to have anyone leave my sight. Aymery hasn;t even seen his mate or son since their HQ moved. His mate and son. And Leonard, his other son that lives with us? He hasn't seen them either. Therefore he hasn't seen his mother or brother. Luna Selene hasn't seen her best friend Reizenzorn, and Olivia hasn't seen her friend or her younger friend, Bunni. Joy hasn't seen her little friend either. And now Taki?! Well, I'm not going to make that mistake anymore. We're going to the Wethkin HQ, and when we get there, either Taki will see Rune or we'll get to meet some new friends for her so she won't miss him as much during the possibly long-as-hell period of ime that will go by until she does see him.
Other than that? Well, Luna seems to be getting along better than Taki but I'm not sure if that's just for the sake of Leonard, who absolutely adores Taki since he is not like the older one and does not understand why he should hate her.
Hold on; either Taki is screaming in pain or she wants to show something to me. Ciao!

Taki screeched the nameas she watched her beautiful flowers. "Mwee! Mwee! Come! Fast! Commmeee!"
She saw her mother sprinting down the hallway with sweat positively pouring down her face. Her mother's room was two floors below her own, and those stairs were long. But Taki didn't care at the moment--or any other moment, for that matter. Now she had something magnificent to show her. Marie skidded to a halt. "What's wrong?" she panted.
"Wook!" cried Taki excitedly, pointing at her flowers. On a daffodil, a caterpilar was spinning a cuccoon. Taki squeaked in delight and looked at Marie, who grinned.
"Wow!" said Marie, who was used to exaggerating about ordinary things for the sake of her wethkin puff. "Would you look at that! Now it's going to become a pretty little butterfly!" She felt the soil and siled. "And with good reason! This is the best watering you've given, Taki!" And this was no lie. Marie had kept track of Taki's skills with her powers. At the most the increase of her watering was worth three or four drops. Now the increase alone could fill a thimblefull!
Marie couldn't hel staring at Taki admiringly. And she did so ntil Taki gave her a look as if to say, "What? Do I have something stuck in my teeth?" Marie thought for a moment, then said, "Hey, Taki? Wanna go to the Wethkin HQ? We can hang out there for a little while and then we can go dig up some more flowers!
Taki squealed happily and jumped into the little bowl of water next to her bed with a splash. She always did this after taking care of her plants, but today she gave herself an extra-good scrubbing. She jumped out of the little pool and said, "Gu shee wefkin now! Buluber bempa!" She giggled excitedly and so did Marie, who put the little puff on her head and walked straight down the stairs.

"No cookie."
"...Kukie?"

"NO COOKIE!"
"Whhhyyyyyyy?!" Taki whined frantically as Joy pulled out a fresh batch of cookies from the oven. Joy, who had been baking cookies all evening just to put them through the house, sighed. She was losing her patience, which was a rather rare sight to see. Joy was usually calm and emotionless. Void of expression. Creepy. All of the family, even Marie, was lurking out in the hallway, staring. Once Joy had an emotion in her, you'd have to stop and stare. Emotionless, you could hardly notice her, but when she wasn't, her soft green eyes were fascinatingly complex. Her hair seemed to shine, and she was no longer slouched. Taki, however, hardly noticed this change. She repeated, "Whyyyyyy?"
"Because," said Joy, her face changing to its normal mode. "We haven't had dinner yet. Besides, what will Santa have to eat? If he doesn't have any cookies, he'll feel like we don't love him." She calmly began placing the cookies on a plate.
Taki said nothing, but her expression was clear. It suggested that Joy loved Santa more than she loved Taki. Joy's mouth twitched--her idea of a smile--and held out a hand for the puff to climb on. "Now, now, don't be ridiculous. We all know that you're much better than Santa Clause. But be nice. He only gets to eat cokies once a year. 'Kay?"
Taki nodded and rolled on Joy's hand. She yawned, though Joy didn't tell her to go to bed. It was her first Christmas, and Joy thought she should enjoy it, no matter how pointless it was. Taki smiled sleepily as they stepped into the living room. "KUKIES!" she announced loudly. Aymery, Luna Selene, and Olivia pretended they hadn't heard--they hated Taki. Marie merely looked up and smiled. Leonard, however, bounded forward playfully and hung out his tounge in a manner that suggested he wanted a snack. "Nuh-uh!" said Taki. "Kukie fur Sandy Claw! Sandy Claw kukie blucka eeeee...one year!" She grinned, and no one pointed out to her that nothing she had said made any sense.

Taki rolled through her flower bed happily while sprinkling water from herself. She grinned, making sure to dig into the bed thoroughly;as the weeks went by, she was no longer as interested in her flowers as she might have been when she first received them, especially seeing as Marie was trading in most of her bugs for ink for a reason which was pointless to Taki. But now Marie claimed that she would give Taki a bottle of ink if she kept her beds extra-healthy, and then, when Taki turned into a nymph-child, she would be able to plant her flowers in her own special portion of the garden. Taki was not very interested in painting with her ink, as one might think, but she wanted to place them all in one of the shelves of her linen-closet/room so that she could roll in-between them and stare at all of the little bottles, as she did in the Wethkin Shop. Taki couldn't recognize this herself, but she was homesick. Of course, this was very odd, as Taki didn't live in the HQ, but she still considered it her home. Her very own special place. A place where everyone liked her and considered her family and the place where she had been born. Finished, she sat pantingly under one of the leaves and yawned gently as she heard Marie's footsteps walking up the stairs. The girl walked over to the closet at the end of the hall and smiled at Taki fondly. "Well," she said, laughing happily. "I can see you've done a great job! Well, here you are!" And she held in her hand a bottle of blue ink, which she placed on Taki's shelf. Taki slid onto the shelf happily and stared prizingly at her shiny glass bottle, and without a word of thanks zoomed onto the floor to tell Leonard.

It was a small inn. It was very quiet in the room that Marie's family stayed in. Marie was typing furiously on a second-hand laptop. On one corner of the room, Joy was sitting lifelessly. Her soft eyes were half-closed. In another corner, Aymery was just as lifeless, which was unusual since from what Taki understood, he was usually the life of the party. His son, Leonard, was curled up next to him, asleep. Olivia and Luna Selene were speaking quietly for a while, then stopped. Through the silence, no one even heard a very soft sobbing coming from the inside of a closed closet.
Taki had gotten into the closet through a hole in the cheap wooden door. She was greatly upset but didn't want to interrupt the others, who were already sad and frustrated from Marie's moving. She cried over a small, spilled bottle of golden ink.
When Marie left home, packing her bags suddenly for a reason she refused to tell her "children, Taki didn't even get to take her flowers, or her bugs, whom she made friends with. So instead, she took her most prized posession, ink her mother had given her. But someone had knocked it over hand hadn't noticed it. No one even noticed her odd quietness.
Marie suddenly said, "What was that?" Her voice was sharp and nervous.
"What?" asked Olivia.
But from what Taki heard, Marie said nothing. She opened the closet door and knelt down to look at Taki, who started crying a bit louder until she was wailing. Somehow, she was in Marie's soft, cupped hand, and being stroked gently. She felt a bit better, but cried still. "I'm sorry, Taki," whispered Marie. "I promise, soon as we find a new place, we won't move ever again, 'Kay?"
This was comforting, but Taki felt much better when suddenly Luna said gruffly, "I'm going out. Want me to take the Thing with me?"
Soon Taki was giggling in exitement, on the head of a six foot tall bird, flying into the night sky.
