those are hard to use. oh right. wouldn't the graveborn muse be better? i mean it is more then just one card and you only pay one life for each card, she excludes all costs

I love Dark Confidant.

Just run it in Black Weenie.

Imagine this: Confidant on the board, you reveal a Raving Oni Slave...lost 2 life, put it into your hand. Then draw your card. Swing for 2.

It's great, because your opponent won't know what to do about the Confidant (should they kill it, or should they let you kill yourself.. xd ). Just attack every turn and you shouldn't have a problem. It's really a card to test the ability of your opponent, whilst gaining you card advantage like a mofo. It's great. smile . If you're going to run it, have commons sense and don't run lots of expensive crap, and you'll be fine. Loosing life for cards is awesome, but you have to build your deck a little differently if you want to include Mr.DC.

Well, you guys also have to take into account that when Ravnica rotates in, Mirrodin goes away.

So no cloud, no Solemn, none of the 187 rats, no Night's Whisper, none of the good black or artifacts that we've come to know and love.

Now...if you don't play heavy type 2, ignore this post, lol.

I think that Ravnica, from what I see by the Invitational card and what I've heard, it going to be very interesting. We may have hope that type 2 Reanimator, Suicide Black, etc etc will be able to become top tier decks again, instead of being freaks of nature as it stands now.

Now..Dark Confidant might be a crap card in the confines of Ravnica, so it may not get played (then again, hardly any invitational card is played other than Simulacrum and the Kai Budde card (but only in U/R fish and sometimes the off Wizard deck).) Now, I hate to admit it, but it seems like Dark Confidant might be a big bust, just as so many other invitational cards were a bit dissapointing (like Rootwater Theif....I could've been broken, but they made it crappy! It was supposed to be remove 3 cards at every activation..but they had to be douches and make it only one.)

So....that's my rant on the subject. Now..why hasn't there been any good green invitational cards? That's what I'm wondering... The one green invitational card SUCKED so hard....jesus. I hate it. I need to get some so I can chew them up and go "Who's the boss now, b***h!!!!"
