Actually, I think that may be a misconception on people where they just presume he wasn't interested in women or stuff like that. He just might be such a strong willed person.. and after going crazy... that he was so focused on accomplishing his mission.. he just forgot about that part of him. But, he was a man. and trust me. there is not a man who doesnt' think about stuff like that.. either with a man or a woman. most guys on some level will think about it... but also something to consider is that at the nibelheim incident.. sephiroth was never really alive after that. Every appearance of him was just an appirtion of sorts.. because he had been in the lifestream...

Well, I will say I support Aeris and cloud too. well, I'll support just about Aeris x "insert character here" except for Red. Sorry guys. that's just too much for me.. but yeah. I'm the total 100% aeris fan. But, a great pointer for this Aeris Sephiroth grouping is that the CloTi fans sort of win too. so, I think people who are hardcore CloTi find it in their better interests to support AeriSeph. cool

I just think that not everyone loves the same way
for sephiroth I mean he wasnt really intersted in love
in a romantic sense atleast
sepiroth's love was more of for his 'mother'
and taking over the planet and finding the promise land for her sake
also I think if Aerith tried to comfort and help sepiroth
he really wouldn't listen
maybe if he didnt go all crazy
they could've happened
but then again if that happened ffvii would be totally different : D

and I love kenshin but kaoru annoys me sweatdrop How could this couple remind you of Seymour and Yuna? Their nothing alike. Sepiroth is nothing like Seymour except that their both bad guys and Aeris is nothing like Yuna except that their both the white mage character. I see Aeris and Sepiroth as a very possible couple even and better then stupid Cloud and Aeris. Both Aeris and Sepiroth are now in the life stream and so the two of them have all the time in the world to talk things out and reconcile their differences and maybe even fall in love. Although Zack is there to so I don't know how happy he would be about Aeris and Sepiroth.

Actually, if you guys ever get a chance to read the official square short story of Maiden Who Traveled the Planet. You'll find that zack is there.. and is trying to work his mojo on her, and it just isn't happening. She just doesn't feel the same way about him anymore. and... they never say why they split up... but Aeris knew full well the kind of guy Zack was.. the one who loved all women you can say. Maybe the kind of guy who had a new girl visiting his bunk every other week or something like that. and, she just didn't want to be another notch on his belt.

That guy was a playa, friends with Aeris and probably just wanted to have her on his long list. Whether or not he would stop playing and go steady with her or not, it's just that after leading a life like that, it's not to wise to really go with him long term. Especially since they are both immortal, now. If they are both in the lifestream, and Aeris most likely the lifesteam, it would make more sense for her to go with the one winged angel. Try and soothe his soul in the afterlife, and try and make him a better person now that she has all eternity to try. Then, maybe when he is reborn in a new body, he'll have a better life then the one he led. It's all good...

Aeris: I hate her most of all. She's so Mary Sue that it makes me want to puke up a lung. Always hanging on Cloud even when she know that Tifa truly loves him. She has the audacity to call herself Tifa's friend when she's shamelessly flirting and flaunting herself to the one man she knows Tifa's in love with. What kind of friend dose that? And I like the AeriSeph paring because they look good together and it seems to make more since now that both of them are in the life stream together. They can both confide and confer each other and eventually I think Seproth would come out of his shell. Just think he wasn't always evil not to mention that Aeris is the ultimate good and Sepheiroth is the ultimate evil. For some reason it just makes sense to me. Now that that's settled I don't want to see any rebuttals or flames on my thoughts because nothing anyone says is going to change my mind not to mention that this is not a thread on "Why RanmaxHikaru hate's cretin FF7 Characters" This is an AeriSeph thread and I would like to get back on topic.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with your dislike for a character. However, keep the character bashing to yourself, please. Nobody here really cares if you like or dislike a character. You're entitled to your opinion, but not to shove it in everybody's face. If you want to hate Aerith, Lucrecia, and Hojo for whatever reason you have, then that's perfectly fine. However, do NOT go posting about this in a thread that barely concerns them. This thread is about the SephirothxAerith pairing, not how much Aerith sucks because she's a Mary Sue or whatnot.
This also applies to your views on pairings. We have a thread for that already, and if you hate a pairing (like the CloudxAerith pairing), then do not talk about it here. In this thread, Cleris does not exist as the pairing of choice.
That, and if you could refrain from swearing like that in the future, then that would also be fantastic. Cursing is acceptable in some situations, but this is not one of them. It fails to make your argument about characters and pairings to be taken seriously.
This is an official warning. I have warned you before in another pairing thread, and the next time this happens, you may not get off with just a simple warning.
As a note, this warning applies to EVERYBODY ELSE as well. If you can't stand the SephirothxAerith pairing, or do not like it, then do not bother posting here. It's rude to the people who like the pairing, since this is supposed to be their place to discuss it without any flames or close-minded criticism from other members. Pink.Spider, there's nothing wrong with disliking the pairing, but if you're going to argue against it, do it elsewhere, since this thread was stated in the first post to be for people who HAVE accepted or can tolerate the pairing. It would also be better if you looked a little more deeply into the differences of the characters, as Seymour and Sephiroth are very, VERY different people. That, and adding in that bit about Kenshin and Kaoru was totally unnecessary.
Does everybody understsand now? neutral If I have to lock this thread and other pairing threads or even ban members because the concept of being polite to others and respecting others points is so foreign to them, then I most certainly WILL.

As for AeriSeph, I usually don't think about it that often, to be honest. Since playing Final Fantasy VII, I was more concerned with Vincent. I would usually look for Vincent-centric material as opposed to, say, Tifa-centric material. However, as with ANY pairing out there in the world (even the squickiest, most mind-boggling pairing you can imagine), I can see it happen, tolerate it, and even fall in love with it, so long as I see it presented in a decent enough manner. For example, while surfing FF.Net over the years, I tended to stay the hell away from Cleris and Cloti fics, since a lot of them were terrible, out of character, and just BAD. Same goes with some of those yaoi fics with SephirothxCloud pairings. It was the few gems of fiction out there that made me like a pairing.
As for which of the four you mentioned I find most plausible, it would be alternate universe. Eventually, Sephiroth's spirit will break down and join the Planet like all the other ones, as Bugenhagen mentioned in his study at Cosmo Canyon. Granted, it could be over a hundred years before it happens, but the same should also happen to Aerith as well (because even though she is a Cetra, she is still a lifeform that lived on the planet, like any other). Where as game canon (especially with what's been translated about Sephiroth, Jenova, and who was really in control thoughout the game from Ultimania Omega) really sets the two apart, alternate universes allow the two characters to meet in completely different circumstances, while they may retain their own personalities and sense of self. Before Sephiroth went on his killing rampage, he was a very respectable, professional, and intelligent general of the Shinra Corporation's military division. He came off to me as the overly serious type, who didn't really go out and 'have fun' like most young people around his age.
Aerith, on the other hand, is bright, friendly, and outgoing. Where as Sephiroth might enjoy a day in the library reading up on military tactics, she would be the type to get out there and enjoy life for what it is. Going to the park, taking a walk, and hanging out with friends.
In an alternate universe setting, you can take these traits of theirs, and find that they can compliment one another very well in a relationship. Aerith might look upon him with curious fascination, while Sephiroth would look upon her as just one of those 'popular/outgoing' people that everybody loves or wants to be. However, as they get to know one another better, they could see more of the little things that nobody seems to notice. Aerith would see that Sephiroth has his likes and dislikes, and Sephiroth would see that Aerith is not as perfect or happy as she seems. There is so much that you can do with both characters WHILE keeping them in character that makes this pairing so fun in an AU setting. Sephiroth doesn't even have to be in the military, nor does Aerith have to be a florist to make it work out.
I'll have to read up on a really good fic or two on the pairing before I can really like it. However, what's nice about the pairing (especially since I rarely read anything, if anything at all, on it) is that it makes me want to write about it, and I'm terrible at writing stories. It something can inspire me like that, then I can really appreciate it.
However, the thought of Aerith working against Avalanche to be with Sephiroth (it doesn't have to be romantic) is very interesting. She's not evil by nature, but that doesn't mean the idea isn't appealing. xd
Hnn... Any really good fic recommendations? I noticed that there were some links on the first page of the thread, which I'll probably check out later.
