I was traveling to Baltimore for a meeting I had to go to and so I was in Port Authority, the large bus station in Manhattan, towards the end of July. Jews for Jesus ads were ALL OVER the city - on the subways and buses, in the walking tunnels in the subway stations, etc. It was so obnoxious. So it was 3 AM or so and I'm half asleep on the floor in the bus station. I'm napping on my backpack with a NY Post as a pillow and a sweatshirt on, with my iPod on low volume to drown out background noise, and this guy starts trying to talk to me about how Jesus is for Jews too. And I'm like, mumbling at him to go away. And he keeps talking. And I'm mumbling at him to GTFO of my face. I have no idea how long he talked at me because I finally just ignored him and continued napping. Later, when I was on the bus, I opened my backpack and he had put a pamphlet in English and Hebrew in there about how "I'm the person your rabbi doesn't want you to talk to!" Dude, you're the person I don't WANT to talk to. stare
Another time, one of them came up to me in Borough Park while I was out shopping. I told him in no uncertain terms that I'm an ex-Catholic and know all about Jesus because I used to eat him every weekend, so I don't really need the pamphlets, but thank you anyway. xd

I'm not sure how to answer this. I belong to a Modern Orthodox synagogue because it's within walking distance to my home. I'm not a very modern person in a lot of ways, though, such as the way I dress. For example, most of the married women at my shul put on a hat or scarf, but they don't mind if their hair sticks out, and I cover mine completely.
On the other hand, I'm not Chasidah either, because I'm not a mystic. Mashiach will come when he comes; I'm not trying to delay it or hurry it up, but I trust that G*D will bring him when the time is best.
And on the other hand (this is three hands now), I do have some ideas which, while they are supported in Torah and by halachah, don't exactly get supported socially except (weirdly enough) by the Reform and a few Conservative individuals. I've learned to keep those under my hat, so to speak, so don't ask.
Overall, I'm Orthodox. I try my best to live halachically. I make mistakes because I'm only human and I've only been studying Judaism for a faily small portion of my life, but I strive to live according to the Law as well as I'm able. I do feel bound to the law.
