The barmaid with her pretty wrists returned, drink in hand, steaming. I considered telling her that I no longer wanted it. For her to just take it back and I would pay her with the change in my pocket or a small kiss. But as she drew nearer I saw behind her, descending the stairs, the blue haired fellow. Seemingly alone this time. Staying really wasn't a bad idea at all. Unless the blue haired fellow proved to be of no help. The barmaid sat the drink down in front of me,"will there be anything else for you m'lord?" Why do twits always think that ruffles make you a lord of some sort? I laughed a little and she looked taken aback. "no there wont" I said sliding my arm around her waist and standing up. Face inches from hers,"But first I must travel to the bathroom." I let go of her and walked towards the bathroom, walking straight past the blue haired fellow and hoping that he wouldn't leave before I found what I wanted. I turned my head and watched him walk away. No, not fair at all to call him a child. His eyes told of many things seen and ages past. I pushed open the restroom door and commenced with relieving myself of all the ale I hadn't drunk. I left the bathroom and returned to my table. The smell of tabac and alcohol strong.Making me wish I were outside in the cold. I spent a few minutes pondering the thought of going to talk to him.

When Enios entered the tavern once again he was assaulted by the smell of ale and smoke that in fact served to mollify him a little; Babd was definitely loads better than the rarefied atmosphere and the dubious company down there. Just as he went towards someone who knew what was doing he crossed paths with the extravagant man that had seen his little demon. He tried to avoid eye contact and went towards the nearest waitress. "Sorry," he said abruptly tugging at her dress. Sometimes it was a pain in the a** to be a walking midget. "I wanted some food. What's the menu?" the waitress looked at him quizzically. "Er... you've got a menu, don't you? Or it's a daily meal, or something?" The girl continued looking at him as if he were speaking another language which made him worry. "Er... what do you serve that's edible, then?" he tried tentatively not wanting to offend her. At that she seemed to perk up and rattled off a short list of dishes that were thankfully mostly known to him. He ordered a couple of pork buns and some salad and asked if they had fresh fish to offer. "Oh, yes!" the maid gushed enthusiastically. "We receive some of the better catches of one of the resident fishermen." "Could you give me then some raw fish along with what I've ordered?" he quasi-begged making his eyes pitifully bright and large. At her quick nod he fought the urge to shout 'Sucker!' and smiled brightly sitting on a stool waiting for his food to arrive. He didn't want it brough to his room in case Babd was seen, again. While waiting he took a second glimpse of the tavern's visitors and suddenly his gaze met that of the man from before freezing him on the spot.

He seemed skittish, blue hair that is. From my seat I watched him bounce around, but he avoided me like the plague. I wouldn't bite him....hard, I thought and giggled. I took a sip of my drink and sat it down. I fiddled with the lipring on the left side of my mouth for a few moments before I looked down. i noticed the edge of my lace ruffle floating in my drink. "damn." I growled. I thought maybe I would have to talk to the man myself when he found a seat. Things weren't going well. He looked a bit frightened of me. Thats not at all what I wanted. I just wanted to ask a few questions and maybe get a few answers. Thats all. Innocent enough. Raw fish. Some creatures truly were disgusting. I lifted my ruffle out of my drink and rung it out. I decided I'd wait for him to take a seat.

The man kept looking at him and it was making him nervous. Damn! Did he have something on his face? He didn't think so. He frowned a bit preocuppied. He hadn't done anything really bad during the past month, so the man shouldn't be looking for him with something bad in mind. However, he was of the mindset of 'Better safe than sorry' so he was a bit hesitant of approaching him to ask a few questions. He debated the pros and cons thinking that maybe the man had heard of him and was looking for a deal. If that was the case the money would be welcome, but there was nothing that guaranteed that he was after a service like those he offered. Finally and seeing that the man was blatantly staring he decided that he had been patient enough for one day that with the problems arriving town, Babd being a pain in the a** and the general rankiness of the place so he got up and marched towards the stalker/potential customer with sure steps.

"Hello, whats this?" I mumbled inaudibly. The fellow was walking straight towards me. My, my. Not what I had expected. But most of tonight had gone that way. He held his head high and walked hurriedly. wonder what I would say to him? I knew what I wanted and I doubted if he could help me. But I had been after this for years and nothing would go left undone if I could help it. My brow furrowed as I kept thinking. I couldn't stop now. I had to find a way. Any assistance was greatly needed. My face grew warm. I had been here once with him. He had taken the cold off of every edge, had been more to me than any other person had ever been.....my thoughts were cut off when he stopped in front of me. "hello." I said. putting on my best smile as to not give him anymore of the wrong impression he had seemed to gain of me.

Lovi touched her slightly singed eyebrows and winced as she saw the damage in the small, dirt-smudged mirror before her. lil' Tava watched her intently from the bed, making a very amused chirp at her misfortune. She turned to the small dragon and stuck her tongue out in defiance. "Oi! You're so cranky and unforgiving in the morning! If I didn't have enough problems already with Victor looking for me...and my eye! I feel like a cyclops!" She made a face in the mirror and snapped her fingers briskly. In an instant, her eyebrows turned from burnt stubs of hair, to perfectly normal. "Such a waste." She murmered, inspecting her face for any blemishes or defects, as well as lifting the patch over her eye. She frowned. Thanks to a few good herbs, and some time, the pain and swelling had dulled down to a slight throb. She considered herself lucky. Although Victor was not the kindest of Warlocks, he had been merciful. Which, she reflected, was very unusual of him, but she also suspected that he had hope of recovering her and returning her to the Dark Arts.
Her frown turning grave, she stared into the mirror and vowed, quietly to herself, "Never."

"Gwee?" Tava chirped in question, resting on Lovi's shoulder as they made their way down the dirt road toward the village. Keeping her eyes on the road, she answered Tava. "No, you can't fly when we get there. Remember the last time that happened?" "Gwee?" She chirped innocently, pretending to not remember the last time she was in town. After all, it had been quite a while ago.. "Oh don't give me that. You started a fight with that young man's Lava Dragon and nearly torched a few houses with your theatrics! Not to mention he was 10 times your size...I'm surprised he didn't swallow you whole."
"Gwee..." She huffed indignantly. lil' Tava had been offended by the Lava Dragon's insult to her size, and she was not one to back down from a fight. Lovi felt lucky enough to grab her and teleport back home before anything(or anyone) was seriously damaged. Thankfully, the residents were only slightly surprised by it. Had the damage been worse, Lovi was certain that they would have completely driven her from the country...
Lovi, still a little miffed from that morning's surprise, ignored Tava's huffed noises of protest and quickened her pace. She grunted uncomfortably as she slung her small leather back-pack over her shoulder. The contents of the bag clinked and sloshed in protest.

Enios was a bit surprised by the forwardness of the man when he was the first to speak. The smile he was sporting was friendly enough though, so he giggled a bit and replied in turn. "Hello!" he chirped childishly. "Why were you watching me? You were making me nervous!" he accused pouting before smiling once again. "Well, you have a really pretty smile, so it doesn't matter much. Did you want something from me?" With that he seated himself in front of the still unnamed flamboyant man, palms cupping his face and looking intently at his eyes with utter curiosity.

I smiled in spite of myself and cocked my head to the side as I apologized for making him nervous. "Forgive me but," I said slowly, looking around at all of the roughly made people sitting near us, "you stand out a little and one can't help but wonder what some one like you is doing in a place like this." So he thought I had a pretty smile. Interesting thing to say to someone straight off. "I did wonder about a few things." I said "I don't want to seem rude so maybe I can get to know you first. My name is Canabrial." I extended my hand towards him.

"Oh! I'm Enios! Pleased too meet you!" he quipped happily. "And you didn't seem rude to me, not compared to all this folk. It's only I don't like being the centre of attention of anyone, it makes me uncomfortable." he shrugged self-deprecatingly. "Well, you said you wondered about something, so ask away. I'll answer as best as I can," he said and his smile turned impish as he added "if I decide to do so."

I arched my eyebrows at Enios's last comment and only smiled wider. Spunky little devil he was. I liked that. Too bad he didn't look older. He would have been attractive. I played with the ring in my lip for a few moments while deciding to go about the questioning. "I'm sorry for any inconveniences I've caused you." I said slowly. " I figure that you know a lot more than your appearance lets on. I'm in need of assistance and i need someone who knows of what I'm asking. I wonder, Enios, Have you heard of 'the Otherside?' I placed my hands on the table and waited for his response to my blatant questioning.

Being dressed in a full black bodysuit with daggers strapped to her thighs and a sword on her back she pulled her trench coat around to conceal the equipment of her trade, knowing it might seem as if she was cold to anyone else watching, but more the better for her for those thoughts to cross other people's minds. She looked down the path that lead up to the tavern not liking the fact she was this close to it at all, but once again her sister wanted to come and here she was tagging along like a beat puppy. Ariana looked at the tavern with her eyes squinted in thought...It seems to be a bit crowded Avi. Can we go when less people are there? The idea of a frown being sent to her over a common channel they shared.

No... stop being silly...She stood right behind her sister only to press her hands on her back to get her to move out in the open and make movement towards the door to the tavern. She sounded kinda flustered at the fact that she had to go through this again with Ariana. We are going to go now and you are not going to protest anymore. After the initial push to the back of her sister she however made to move around her and walk towards the door before she turned and said with a small sigh. "Come on... dont act like this now" She then turned back to the door and pressed it forward as her white trench coat swung back down to fall in place over her daggers, helping to conceal the weapons she carried from intruding eyes.

"I am not acting like anything. You know I dont like the idea of crowds." She growled low before reluctantly moving to follow behind her. One of her hands came up slowly to run through her dark red locks in a nervous gesture that put it out of her face for a brief moment before falling back to where they were initially. She hated when her sister did this. Always wanting to met new people and make friends she did. She do just fine with just eatting fruits and playing with her weapons, thank you very much. She herself was not chicken. Ha! She was to good with her weapons to be a chicken. She just didnt like crowds is all.

And I know you dont like crowds... thus this will be good for you... She pressed the door open and then strolled into the tavern her eyes closing a little because the light outside and inside were a bit different and she was trying to adjust before she made way to walk completely in and towards the bar...
