magikjaz and fawN, you will be excited to know that I'm taking my ghost story with me to work on...you know that one I started like 3 years ago and never finished about the windows. Hehe yay!! Actually finishing a story would be quite an accomplishment in my mind! I don't know if I've ever finished a story!

I drove all the way up to St Francisville when I was in New Orleans and I LOVED it. so pretty and *small town* with gorgeous old homes and plantations around.
Have a wonderful time iin Louisiana, my favorite state of anywhere I can imagine, and yet comparatively speaking I have seen so little of it, but I felt at home the moment I got there.
ENJOY!!!

dragonflymeow Did you experience anything haunting..?? biggrin well, we did experience some crazy stuff at the Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville. Took lots of pics too, so I'm hopeing something showed up. That place is just creepy tho. I was completely freaked out with the whole thing ... and I wanted to go there. Imagine you're scariest horror movie scene....now imagine being there in person. Yep. That was me.

MysticfawN Yeah I just got the chills too! Why do they say it's suppsedly haunted? Is there a story about what happened there? the plantation has actually been featured on many "most haunted" type shows. Ghost Hunters even went there (you know, the sci fi show) The most famous story is of Chloe. She was a house slave back in the day and also the owner's mistress. She eventually started to fall out of favor with the man of the house and fearing she would be sent to the fields to work she started to eavesdrop on conversations. She was found doing this once and had her ear cut off and she was sent to work in the kitchen. In the hopes that she might find favor with the master, she plotted to slightly poison his family (wife and children) and then nurse them back to health so that they might see how useful she was. Only she put too many oleader leaves in the cake and the wife and 2 of the 3 children died (the 3rd was spared only cuz she wasn't there at the time) The rest of the slaves knew she was plotting this and when it backfired they feared retribution would be laid on them as well, so they took the law in their hands and took Chloe out to a tree in the courtyard and hung her. Her spirit supposedly still haunts the place today.
