Aricia didn't seem all too worried when wet mouth enclosed over her grabbing hand. In fact, quite the opposite: enthralled by the new sensation, she gave a little scream of laughter and attempted to shove her hand further into Xerksis's mouth.
Of course, the fun and games went out of her at the sight of Yashi's transformation. Screaming now of terror and not excitement, Aricia shoved her hand even deeper down Xerk's throat.
Kierla nearly jumped at the sudden change in emotions, and her eyes snapped open and toward her child. What the hell?

Yes, he had been generally unfazed by the argument- feelings of hostility and yelling ran often enough in the house that he was getting used to it. That or he was just more calm from being mostly around Kyo. As far as he was concerned, he didn't really care so long as he could cling to someone. That was until Aricia decided to try and steal his tonsils.
Ignoring Kishi's message, the boy gagged upon the limb lodged in his throat, letting go of Yashima so he could use both hands to try and pry it out. He didn't know what was happening, nor why his body was suddenly seizing up like it was. He was going to panic in a millisecond. Freaked out Mindflayer? No one was going to go home without some sort of throbbing behind their temples, even if he might not mean it. Golden eyes were wide for once, one stubby hand clawing at her arm while the other proceeded to pick up Minion and smack the plush against her head. He didn't like this at all!
Kyo didn't need to even glance at the aura whipping around Yashi to see how unstable the boy was becoming. Seeing as Kierla was just sitting idly by, it seemed it was her time to intervene. "Children, play nicely. Kishi, why don't you come over here for a moment? Please. Yashima, will you be a dear and help Aricia's arm find its way out of Xerksis' esophagus?" Futile, perhaps, compared to actually getting up and stepping between. However, she felt no real craving for dramatics, nor did she really think she could get up and get there in time. Children fought- this was a reality. It was doubtful Kishi would die from whatever Yashi had to offer, but as an adult she could at least try to intervene.

Was... was she LAUGHING at him? The boy couldn't understand WHY - he was snarling and being mean and she was LAUGHING at him. That only served to make him angrier. Scant amounts of fur sprouted and Kishi disappeared. What remained was something definately NOT human - sharp teeth and elongated nails all included.
Xerks choking and Kyos words barely brushed through his conciousness... but the kid WAS 'his' kind of. One small hand shot down, mindful of the child on his lap, and he grabbed the other babys arm. Being older and pissed, he yanked at the girl a rough deal before concentrating back at the b***h on hand.
The mindflayer was n the ground and Yashi had actually sprung, aimed at the girl when a voice pierced the outter edges of his mind.
"Yashi? What the ******** are you doing?"
Tousan?
His face smoothed back into that of a small girly-boys and the boy landed n his stomach rather lamely. Tousan?? His head jerked up to see the slim, dark man enter the main enterance way of the HQ. His face looked a bit bruised but --
"TOUSAN!" Yashi shrieked. Sure, he usually remained quiet but...but THIS was his tousan! HE was back! The fox child scrambled over the pen and towards the older man, arms latching around his waist. "TOUSAN TOUSAN YOU'RE BACK!"

Kishi simply stared at the others unable to comprehend what in all the names of hell was going on. She had lowered her laughing fit into mild giggles when Yashi had launched himself at her. She'd swung her wand up to defend only to find it unneccasary as the crazed boy appeared to have been tamed by someone else.
"You're all crazy," She muttered quietly.'cept maybe you Xerk' She thought to him. Really, screaming and changing and sticking hands in throats, what were they all thinking ? Kishi shook her head. " Crazy."

Aricia's siren wail only increased in pitch as the beast-Yashi, er, thoughtfully guided her arm back to her side. Sobbing, her face screwed up in that way only babies can manage, she held up her arms (one of them now thoroughly slimy) to Kierla, who took the cue and picked her up, looking rather uncomfortable of shortening the distance between a screaming baby and her ears.
Luckily for her, Aricia stopped her caterwauling almost immediately, appearing almost happy again. "Fooo-oo-oo! Keee!" she gabbled, raising one hand and wriggling it in the wave at Patrick, using the other to throw her wand at Kishi - "KA-ZEEE~" - then promptly popping the thumb into her mouth, looking distinctly adorable.
"Sorry about that," Kierla said in a low voice to Kyo. It was all she could think of to say at the moment.
Actually, there was also... "What's his name again?" she asked. All she remembered was he was the father of Yashi, and his name...something about his name...like those Saint Days. Could it be Valentine? Nah.

Aricia's arm was removed, and Xerksis proceeded to cough and regain his breath. He was occupied enough so that when Yashi set him down to attack Kishi, he hardly protest. No, there was still one left in the pin. One that felt familiar and was suitable enough to latch on... Until Aricia got picked up too. The mindflayer was left by himself again- never a good thing, as Kyo had learned all too quickly.
'Lonely.' It was almost a demand now; a warning. Golden eyes shifted to Kishi, whom was still outside his pen. Sucking in a deep breath, Xerksis prepared another roar.
Kyo glanced up when Patrick entered, muscles relaxing slightly beneath their dark clothing. Oh, the child's father was here. That was good... or at least she thought so. Hopefully he wasn't going to come over and try to strangle Kishi or something equally as crude. Mentally, she tried to soothe Xerksis, who was just ready to blow.
"I... Um.. Pat, I think." She informed Kierla just as softly, beginning to set her papers aside. No sense in letting her child squall any more with other ears present. She simply couldn't care less if it was only her, but Kyo was a considerate person by nature.

Poor Xerk. Yashi heard the demand of the small child being lonely but... what was he to do? Patrick fixed the dilima for him, moving towards the pen with Yashi in his arms, petting at the foxes back soothingly.
"I'm back," The dark man assured his son, "I'm back and I'm not leaving again." He continued to pet until he heard that deep inward drawn breath... Yashi stepped away, reluctlantly, to scoop up the mind flayer. He fluffed up his tail, draping it around Xerk to further amuse him.
And even then, he still leaned against Patrick, even as his fingers were rubbing at the little bald noggin. "Sorry, Xerk," He mumbled, nuzzling his tousans shoulder. "No lonely."

Kishi caught the wand Arica had thrown at her, it was much lighter than her own and easy to hold. " Yes you are crazy" She teased the baby winking at her. At least she knew Aricia liked her even if she was throwing things.
With Yashi apparently calmed Kishi deemed it safe enough to approach him. Not that she really wanted to it was Xerks call for attention with his mind and eyes that compelled her to move towards him and the fox boy holding him.
Still she was wary as she stood there, she was well within striking range if Yashi grew angry again. 'It's ok Xerk' she thought' no more crazyness and no one will leave you lonely'. She had a feeling Yashi could have kept the strange boy from feeling lonely himself but that wasn't fair to her, after allthey were in her house and she had rights to play with anyone who seemed to want to talk her.

"KAAY! ZEEE!" Aricia said again, gabbling in a language that sounded like hysterical laughter but might actually have a few words in there. She bounced up and down like a slippery piece of soap, her two wings suddenly snapping out of her back - managing to surprise Kierla enough to drop her. The pegasus baby didn't seem at all hurt, however; she just began rolling on the ground again, toward the three children, making grabby hands at her wand. Maybe they could play Wand Wars again!
Rather keen on making sure Aricia wasn't hurt by the fall, yet not wanting to seem like a caring person, Kierla slowly glided after the rolling blob of pink. "Hello," she said as flat as possibly, nodding toward Patrick. Then, resisting the urge to glance back at Kyo for affirmation, she added: "Pat." Hopefully that really was his name. It sounded authentic enough, anyways.
