I'm just going to throw something out here, just one of my many thoughts. If Angela/Jessica were a witch...don't you think Edward would know?? I mean, he can read their thoughts... Now, what brought this point to my attention, was when I read the Midnight Moon, which is the first chapter of Twilight from Edward's point of view. He can hear their thoughts, and they don't sound like witches at all...

I don't know, though. I'm just thinking randomly.

I was thinking about witches too, after I found out about werewolfs. I was like, hey they have these mythical creatures, why not witches? Anyway, I got to thinking, and I was like, Maybe Bella is already a witch? Vampires don't affect her, and tht could be a witchy thing. But, I was just day dreaming, I honestly doubt any of that is true. It's just, witches are just pretty much like humans, just with special qualities. Same with vampires. I mean, you can't tell Edward and the Cullens are vampires unless they tell you, or they suck your blood, none of which they would do. I was also thinking, maybe Bella being immune to vampire powers had something to do with some family trait, but Edward can clearly read Charlie's mind, so maybe it's Renee. Oh, I just ranted! Sorry about that! Anyway, I don't think witches will be there, but I also doubted werewolfs when I read Twilight. I think we should just keep ours minds open for anything to happen.

Hey...well, honestly that's not a bad thought. I mean, it does give a reasonable explanation for why Bella would be immune, though it all depends on if witches are included and exactly what twists she's given them. You're right though, I never expected werewolves either. Best to keep the mind open, like you said! ^^

I expected werewolves..we are weird that way.

H'okay.
We were joking when we said Angela..xD Messing around because she is the least likely.
If Stephenie were to add more mythical creatures, I think she might be pushing it.
I'm sure she could make it work, but there would be plenty of rants of 'she's gone to far' and sutff. ^^ Vampires=Werewolve haters. It fits..but Witches..I don't know...

Yeah well, Carlisle's father only tracked down at least one true vampire. Back then, everyone was a flipping witch, vampire, or werewolf if you crossed the law of the Government/Throne.

Witches would make it too cliche. Werewolves and vampires are just fine.

O.O It would explain why she's imune to most vampire powers.

I never really suspected witches. I knew wearwolves where coming though. ninja

They just did something on this on the Lexicon.
They said that they heard somwhere that red hair and green eyes mean you're a witch. And Edward has red hair. And he used to have green eyes. So they think that Edward's mom was a witch, and that's how she knew about Carlsie. Interisting...

Hmmmmmmmmmmm... Intriguing thought. Perhaps.

That is a mighty interesting thought. It's quite possible, because if the other two parts came true...who knows?

This is completely irrelevant but... Lily Potter from Harry Potter had red hair and green eyes as well, and was a muggle-witch...

who would it be though? most of the time you think of witches you think of them as mean, but there isn't anyone really mean to Bella. sooooo who knows.

What? I don't think of witches as mean! (but i guess I don't see them all with black capes and warts either ...)

I think it's a possibility and I would enjoy her adding in another type of character. I don't think it would be pushing it all. I mean... if they're there in the world that Stephenie Meyer created, why can't she put them in her books? It's like saying that if in reality there were actually vampires and werewolves and witches, then we would have to tell the witches to get lost because there isn't room for that many mythical creatures. stare

*sigh* There will be no witches. Stephenie just inserted that line because everyone knows witches were hunted in whatever century that was. The Church (meaning Carlisle's father) hunted down anything and anyone that might be against their religion, and they didn't need proof. As was also stated, there were a lot of false accusations.

On page 331 of twilight while edward is explaining carlisle past to bella he says:

"His father was an intolerant man. As the Protestants came into power, he was enthusiastic in his persecution of Roman Catholics and other religions. He believed very strongly in the reality of evil. He led hunts for witches, werewolves... and vampires."

In twilight we find out vampires are real, in new werewolves and in eclipse...

EDIT: I just had another thought, what if bella became a witch? would she be able to be friends with werewolves and vampires then? Sort-a like a peace keeper.

the peace keeper thing made me laugh.
