20 for that last post here ( ::points up:: )... 7g for a poll, 13g for another poll, 3 for a post, 4 for surfing... it's just all over the place!! ::wonders if it's random:: This is annoying right now, but it may take the pressure off of *having* to pollwhore in order to make gold, and perhaps that is the point... encourage actual conversation...? maybe?

i'm unsure what i think about this so far, my instant opinion was that it would be annoying, but right now i find i'm looking to see how much i'm getting and it's fascinating! but i think i shall probably turn it off after a while.
in the announcement it says that you will get MORE for polling now, so when things sort themselves out we shall see..i got 15 gold for sending a PM to Sunny!

I got 9 gold for this poll and 3 for "surfing" to post a reply. I quite like this idea. I'd often wonder how much I was making during my excursions and this will clear it up a bit. I agree that the randomness is a little unnerving, though. Hopefully, that's just a bug!

Yeah... they've enabled gold earning for PMs now also 3nodding But the one thing that I've noticed... it's not random... at least no more random than it was before. The way it's been working is that... each day... your first post will get the most... then it dwindles down from there... then by the end of the day or however long you've been on it'll level out to about 2-4 gold per post. Which is exactly the way it's been working before... the only difference is that you get MORE for your first post than before. The polls are quite different than before... but they're working in about the same way as posting. In my opinion... I think the only reason it's so different now is because we're being notified of it... so it catches our attention... where as before... it often went unnoticed.. then BAM... you've got 1k xd
But I do agree that it's probably gonna put a hurtin' on the poll guilds. I also think it's interesting seeing what I'm actually making each time... but I don't think I could handle seeing that big G coin up there all the time rofl

yeah, i'm waiting to see what happens, i'm only geting 1g for posting now, which sucks, but if you go and do something different, voting in the avie arena for example, you're get a big sum again, if you comment you'll get another 32g, then 14 and so on, same if you comment in someone's profile, which i'm off to do right now! 3nodding
but i seriously hope that posting isn't only going to earn you 1g from now on sweatdrop
i do think it's just glitchiness at the moment, the announcement did say it WOULDN'T be such a steep drop off anymore for polling..though by that they surely mean people with a low post count, as there's no drop off for the rest of us*shrugs* let's see what tomorrow will bring..

You can turn off the notification. There is a link in the announcement that gets you to the options page. There at the very bottom you can select to turn off notification.
It's a little easier to handle if you don't have to actually see what you're not earning.
