“I see.”
*The dark lioness nodded and looked away from him before smirking to herself.*
“Yeah, I did run into someone on the way here. I forgot his name… but he seemed well.”
*Hear ears pinned back as she yawned slowly. He was tired after her long day of walking. Ausi stood up from her sitting place and jumped back into the grassed below the two. She circled a place just under where Fedha sat and with a soft yawn she rested herself upon her side within the grasses. This cooled her off some. She didn’t say much to him after that. She simply let her mind wander. Why did she feel this way…? Closing her soft blue eyes she spoke to him again.*
“He told me about how he got his scars… and why.”

"Scars, eh?" He thought scars were ugly, even if most lions said they were a thing of bravery. "And how did the fool get them?" He layed down slowly as well, though still on the rock.

“He said he got them protecting the one he loves. He said every scar that rested upon him held meaning behind his love for her.”
*Ausi thought that this was cute- she loved the idea of someone giving everything that could for the one they loved most. She wanted that someday… Rolling herself onto her back side she eyed up at him and smiled.*
“He was bigger then I was- and at first he acted like he was going to harm me.. but then.. I guess we just started to talk about loved ones… and yeah… it was nice.”
*She nodded slowly and added.*
“I got to see new faces.. though I was to shy to really talk to anyone on the way here.”

The ones you loved, eh? Why would anyone boast about something so silly? Even if you stood your ground to protect some, and recieved a mark, why show it off? He shifted and pulled himself to his feet, jumping down into the grass. "Scars are ugly. Why put yourself out there to get marked up, eh?" He raised his brows as he glanced over his shoulder at her. Who did she have to protect, anyways?

“I think you’re just chicken.”
*Ausi laughed and rolled onto her side. She gave him an almost daring look.*
“You are, aren’t you? You are afraid to have a scar! Haha.”
*The little lioness laughed again, in a mocking manner before rolling over. She looked away from him and smirked to herself. Her paws rolled up to her chest as she awaited his reply.*

His eyes widened and he jerked his head around. Chicken? He wasn't afraid! He stalked toward her and leaned his face right over hers, though he'd appear upside down anyways. "I wouldn't be afraid of something so stupid." He hissed quietly at her, eyes narrowed.

*Ausi eyed up at him from with a sly smirk. Her ears pinned back as he moved himself over her.*
“Let me give you a scar- and you can give me one first, if helps you feel better... chicken.”

What was she, some sort of sadist? Fedha's eyes narrowed more, but it was a sign of unease and not anger. He moved back and sat. "I'm not." He said firmly. "Fine. Where?" He didn't honestly want to scar her, she was crazy! Why would he want to make such an ugly mark on her beu-- His face blanched midthought and he hissed slightly, at himself. Oh gross! He shouldn't be thinkign of Ausi like that.

“Mmm..how about here?”
*Ausi sat up and pointed to her left thigh. She gazed at him for a moment and thought. Maybe this wasn’t the same as getting a scar in battle.. or protecting someone, but it would be mark left by Fedha. Something that would stay with her- and him. She took in air and slowly moved herself to lie back down. Her rolled onto her side and looked at her paws. She wouldn’t show any sign of pain- she knew if she did he would most defiantly chicken out.*

He shook his head softly. What the hell had addled her brain? He moved forward slowly, and sat at her side. He let his claws came out and after a deep breath he suddenly curled all but one to, slicing once along her leg and then across. An 'x'. "There, happy?" He grumbled.

*Ausi bit her tongue and turned her head slowly over to him. She wanted to hit him in the face, badly. With wide eyes she sat up and looked at the mark. An ‘x’- Mmm. Ausi didn’t even bother to ask him to lie down- no, he wasn’t going to back out after she got marked. Pushing him down Ausi pulled out her claws and with a quick motion she moved herself to the small place on his body and used her index claw to make him in the same way she did. Oh his fur she could see blood… maybe it was because of how dark she was that she couldn’t see any on herself. Something about seeing him bleed though.. made her cringe. She moved herself back and within seconds she curled herself into a ball upon the ground. Had she hurt him? Why did he bleed?*

He cringed and swallowed as she did what she did, sitting up and watching her. Oh great, what now! "What you get your wish and then curl up like a little baby... whats wrong with you!" He growled. Damn she was emotional. He shifted a little and leaned over her, nudging her with a paw. He was well aware if you were going to cut something it would bleed.

*Ausi had never seen such a color before.. Ausi had never been hurt or been around anyone that had been. The color made her think of her father’s red fur.. She didn’t look him in the eyes fearing that she may have harmed him. With a deep sigh she sat herself up and looked away from him. With her back to him she glanced down at the mark upon her and smiled to herself. They had set paths that would never fade now, scars that would always be with them.*

So he was stuck staring at the side of her neck. "You're bleeding too, idiot." He said softly, but not meanly. He gently nipped the side of her face. "Thats what happens when you scar someone." He wasn't sure why he was trying to make her feel better, he was just so sick of her being mopey. "Look.." He moved and then brushed his light colored paw on her fresh cut. It came away red, with her blood. "See?"

*She turned herself over slowly and eyed his paw. She was bleeding too? Oh thank god- She sighed and nodded, feeling silly now. She looked up at him and smiled, before resting her head against the center of his chest. She didn’t move and she didn’t care if he pushed at her to. She was tired and he was around. She listened to his heart beat and spoke.*
“Thump.. thump.. thump.. thump, thump, thump.”
*She frowned slightly. Was he having a heart attack now?*
