Twack You think thats bad i watched the producers last night mad Gay stariotypes ever wich way and it pissed me off Lighten up a little. It wasn't like an "I hate gay people" tribute. Mel Brooks likes to offend and be over the top. And if you were watching the one with Nathan Lane as Max Bialystock, take notes from him, because he is gay.
I don't try to stereotype, but there have been times where I've seen a stereotype and been right about it. I don't think sexuality matters unless you're in and/or interested in a serious relationship with said person.

One of my best friends who's bi is really cute. :] He's planning on coming out publically about the same time as me, and I don't think anyone's going to think he's "too cute to be bi" because everyone's always asking him if he's gay.
Me, on the other hand, they'll probably think I'm too ugly to be bi. xD
@welcometomyhell: Nathan Lane is gay? I never knew that. He's really awesome. :]]]]

I do the same thing... I suspect certain people of being gay based on how they act (apparently I'm TERRIBLE at picking out lesbians though sweatdrop ...). So, I guess my "gaydar" is really more being prejudice than anything. I'm bi, but I act gay. Like, not your fullblown stereotype, just I use lots of hand motions, am animated around my friends, have a more high pitched voice, etc; I honestly expect a lot of people I meet to think I'm gay, despite the fact that I'm only interested in relationships with women. Yet, I'm amazed how many people are oblivious to that. I guess yeah, a lot of people just base it off of stereotypes.

I do with girls at my school. When I see an amazingly beautiful, cool girl I figure she definitely isn't.
And even when I'm wrong, she's usually taken, I'm not her type/she's not mine, or she's bisexual and more into guys at the mo'.

I can tend to do that for straight people (being straight myself) I think of guys being masculine, and girls being feminine, even though I'm not a very feminine girl myself. >.< It's so odd!

Stereotyping isn't all that bad although it can lead into a lot of trouble! I mean if it wasn't for the SGP (stereotypical gay personality) how would you now a person is gay unless you have enoughn guts to ask somene not knowing what their response will be? Although there is a limit of coarse!

I'm a terrible stereotyper--I can't help it...but my gaydar has never been wrong so...idk. Apparently I'm very stereotypical myself, according to my friends.

Oh gawd I made a self-stereotype today.
I have a hot little Celebrity Date and went to the Rally. After I beat this guy, he was all "are you gay?"
Now I didn't say this but I was thinkin' "What just cuz I have boy-short hair, a female hanging all over me, and cuz I whoop your a** in racing??" rolleyes
But yeah I told him I was bi (truth btw).

I have been.
lately i've been questioning whether i want to actually live as bisexual... like i know i am, but there's a difference between actually making your lifestyle fit that.
like... maybe i don't want to be openly bi, maybe i want to only date guys, you know? like there's no negativity towards my sexuality personally i just... yeah
but like i was thinking about it and i seriously thought for a moment the idea of how bi girls are total sluts and s**t.
and it scared me! I'm not at all like that and almost all the bi girls i know aren't like that!
so i had to slap myself in the face about it.

For the longest time I wasn't sure, then I was watching a random episode of "In the Life" on PBS late-night (I think it was an anniversary episode) and they showed him and another male actor sitting in some random New York bar. The other man had apparently been asked a question about something and was holding a microphone about to respond. Nathan Lane leans in and asks him something and he responds, "Hold on a second, I'm talking to these 'In the Life' people..." "'In the Life'?" "Yes." "Oh that's the...the gay show." (here he leans in) "Oh yes I'm gay, I'm gay-er than a clutch purse on Tony's night..."

I've accidentally stereotyped before. Like, once, my friend went to Starbucks, and she was wearing her rainbow belt. She's straight, but, well, like me. Uber pro-homosexual and stuff. And the guy behind the counter was like, "Can I ask you a personal question?" And she said, "Always." He asked if she was 'family,' and she doesn't understand. "Are you QUEER?" he asked. She told him that she wasn't, and when she came and told me and my other friend, I was like, "Oh, yeah, right. Tracey's way too pretty to be lesbian."
I felt like a TOTAL b***h. I seriously wasn't implying ANYTHING! I think it was just my sister's influence; I've heard her say the exact same thing, I remember, it was on a TV show where this girl randomly started dating this other girl after she'd always been with a guy, and my sister said the exact same thing. My sister is one of the people who think that lesbian girls are just girls who can't find guys to love them...
I dunno. Maybe it was because I was always labeled as a butch lesbian.

stare this guy in my history class year was SO stereotypical of me. my head almost exploded.
We were having a conversation about my sexuality... yes it was about MY sexuality because I guess i'm that interesting... and they started going on about...
"NEVER cut your hair short."
or
"are you the b***h or the butch"
neither, dumbass but in a minute you're gonna be my b***h and i'm gonna shove my foot up your a**.
and they were like freaking out asking me if i own these shoes that i guess all lesbians wear or if i'll ever cut my hair or if i own certain clothes and s**t.
it was annoying as ********. thinking about it right now it's like i'm still annoyed by it it's like i've just been permanently annoyed.
yeah i DO own a pair of those shoes i don't even know what they're called and you know what 1. i'm not a lesbian 2 not a SINGLE lesbian i do know wears those shoes on a consistant bases 3. i'm not "the butch" or "the b***h" 4. i don't even like you why the hell am i talking to you anyway?
grrrrrrrr!!!!!
