Uh... Maybe that means the Roman Catholics you've met just happened to be against that sort of thing. Religion doesn't dictate little preferences like that, and even if it did people typically don't adhere that strictly to it.
That bit's fine like it is. The whole issue of what's going on on the island pops up more than religious debate, so it doesn't matter much anyway.
Anyway, the concept's shaping up nicely, and I like that he's not a hydrophobe turning into an aquatic animal. All I can say offhand is you might wanna revise the 'what makes this concept' thing cause at the moment it doesn't really give much of a reason.

I'm sorry man. You're probably right. I was just speaking from personal experience I have had with a lot of Roman Catholics is all. Sometimes all you can go off of is personal knowledge and that's mine of Roman Catholics. And I am speaking of just a normal person I would go to school with too. Most of them would not be into that kind of creativity level at all. It was almost like pulling teeth.
Maybe it's just my area for all I know. But anyway, it was just a suggestion. Besides, I guess it would depend on how strong the upbringing was. Plus, I'm use to Roman Catholic around here being used for more of a term for the hardcore catholics.
But anyway, yeah. Probably a good idea to just disregard what I have to say in the long run. It is his character afterall.

Well, as said, it's probably just my area then.
Anyway, like Maryke, I would also like to see something more expansive on the idea of why he has such a dark outlook on life. Is there any possible way to elaborate upon it?

I'm sure i'm going to sound stupid with this, but what do you mean a dark outlook? Is it because of the song?

Heh, excuse me. I must have misread the character background. I missed the "it seemed" part of the sentence where it said "It seemed he had a dark outlook on life."
But yes, the fact his mother encouraged the bizarre ideas he would get, that one sentence, and the song gives the impression he does in fact have some dark outlook on life if not a whole lot.

Probably a good idea to just disregard what I have to say in the long run. It is his character afterall. Yeah the reason I chose this is because is am a Roman Catholic by faith, I have heard and read everything that my religion has done in the past, and I understand you point. Mostly though the religion has clamed down quite a bit with the exception of the bishop’s pervasions last year in Philadelphia. I guess you could say Glacus isn't a super conservative, but he was baptized into it, and hangs on to it because of the religions hope in the afterlife. The weirdest thing is that, many of the priests in my church have read upon many other religions and are very tolerant of others. But again I understand your side.

Okie, for the critique.
Glacus himself is an average sorta guy, which I like. Nothing really strikes me as needing to be changed.
The one thing I do find I'm having a lot of trouble with is his method getting to the island. Feral Labs doesn't really advertise their island to the public (or it wouldn't be secret!) and ESPECIALLY not its location. Its very unlikely he'd just happen to chance upon an ad for them because it wouldn't be realistic.
Now you hafta ask yourself. Why Glacus? Why would the Doctor want to experiment on him in particular? What makes him so worth Moreau's attention? Just something to think about.
That also goes with my previous point. If Glacus WAS to be "lured" by a false ad like that, I'd think it'd be more of a personal trick than a coincidence.
The animal choice is alright. *nods* I think that's about it. Oh and watch your grammar, mmkay? ^_^ *thumbs up*
