Jaden chuckled, and flattened his ears. “Oh!” Yes, oh. He thought to himself. It might have worked so much better if he could keep his facts straight. “Er- I actually don’t remember. I think I fell out of a tree while trying to get over to the ladies. Lady. Mam.” He purred, and curled the end of his tail. He had a thing for ‘fanciful’ tales. "And- I am not sure. I didn't ask her!" He pursed, and rose his paw to his jaw reflectivly. "Perhaps they were running from something..."

"Fell out of a tree?" Koin chuckled. "And what did this female look like?" Koin wanted to make the leapord think. It was amusing to watch the red leapord trying to hide his obvious lie.

“Oh, she was beautiful.” He played- although even he was partially aware that he had been ousted. But never mind! He was not the kind of creature to try to downplay himself. “Of course, she would be you know. But- yes- golden! With large circular spots, and those little eye marks those cheetahs have? Her cubs were purple though. Not sure where that came from.”

"How long ago was this?" koin asked, not remembering that it had ever rained near the place he was.

Jaden quirked his head to the side, in feint of thinking. “Let’s see...it was...before the last rainfall, so that would be...” His brow furrowed, and the end of his tail slowly twined as he thought. “Last month or so? Eh?” That sounded about right. He was a remarkably good liar, if anything could be said. Just that he didn’t seem to follow through with his facts...

"But your wound looks cleaner then that. It can't be over a month old," Koin said. Acting, he made a puzzled face, seeing if the male continued the story.

"...Ah...." Jaden sighed, and finally rubbed his head in defeat. "Don't you know it's bad luck to expose a cat so?" He moved towards the wild dog, and swayed to the side. "But, nevermind! Clever dog, although...I suppose, I'm the fool this time. No...no lady, although I have done something like that before! Possibly..." he frowned, and shifted his tail. "It's all a manner of how you see it, I suppose. I fell off a tree, that'd be where I got the bump." He raised it as though to emphasize his drama on the whole matter.
"But now, I'll admit being caught is a bit of an embarassment. I don't doubt we'll meet again, I think?" The red leopard grinned. He had a coy grin- but it was obvious that he was indeed rather embarassed. Thank Mkodi this was some wild dog, and not a lady kind! Then where would he be?
He scoffed, and dismissed himself with a clever grin, stalking off to lick his wounds- both mentally, and physically.
