Ian took a few deep breaths trying to control his stomach. And as for her "don't you dare" comment. . ."Its not as if I can control throwing up!" his voice was controlled, measured, because if he shouted he would hurl.
His face went through a multitude of expressions before he felt better, and he responded to what she had said first. "You don't have to talk to me you know, I was just on my way to my duplex anyway. I didn't want to particularly talk to you either. I also didn't choose to be stuck on this god-forsaken island. Neither of us wants to talk to each other, and yet here we are, screaming at each other." He was shouting again.
"I should just get back to my duplex. . ." he muttered running a hand through his dark hair, but unsure of Maryke would even let him go, or that he didn't want to keep shouting at her to make him feel better.

She said nothing to him, but instead backed up, still holding on to her elbow. After he was finished talking she threw up a hand, "Fine...you know you're abosuletely right. After you BUMPING into me, I should have just ignored you and went on my way. But whatever, what's done is done. " she said and her ears moved back to their normal position, the threat seeming to be over.
"Yeah good idea....you go....work on not throwing up and I'll just ...go...." she said, adding the last word with a disgusted look towards him.

"Good plan" His voice dripped malice and he went to retrieve his staff. "I'll see you around. . .hopefully NOT!"
And he hobbled back in the direction he had been going, shooting a glare at Maryke as he passed. This time he watched where he was going.
It wasn't until later that he realized that he had never even gotten her name.

Maryke rolled her eyes walking in the direction she was headed for the first time, though this time she'd have to remember to get some bandaids for her elbow and some ice for her a**.
she caught that she hadn't gotten a name, but she didn't care. She'd just be referring to him as 'the p***k with the antlers' anyway.
