Hey Mouse,

Mouse Pachinkorelli
I read some of this, and... "high tolerance to the serums"? I don't think there would be any level of tolerance or immunity to it; it would have been seen in some of the approximately 60 subjects that are already on the island.

This is admittedly poorly worded techobabble. I figure that the serum might not work on everyone and certain people might be less prone to becoming unstable. It is a lot of words basicly saying Richard is healthy for his age and could surivive the transformation.

The flayer beast looks like a potentially dangerous combination, and Moreau doesn't want his subordinates stirring up more of those. Keep that in mind.

I really don't see this as very relevant. Moreau has safeguards to prevent injury. If the pot is stirred then it simply makes for a more interesting show.

Do maternal instincts show in female animals with no babies around them? o_O I think you should lose the TG, it's overdoing things a bit and just seems unnecessary.

The TG is an aspect that I personally want to explore, especially with an older character. Being male is crucial part of his identity and changing it will cause intense struggles with his homophobic tendancies. Not to mention denial. I want Richard to emerge as a completely different being, the TG is an important part of that rebirth.

Think about this: you have an old guy, here. He would probably have limits at that age that Moreau and his staff would want to try at.

That's one of the reason's he's a subject. To find that limit, if there is one.

Thanks for the crit, the questions helped me clarify some things.

If he's that proud of his masculinity, I see him being slightly misogynistic along with a homophobe. He's an old guy, so he could be grated by the "nontraditional" gender roles of today.

Does he have a religion or anything that could be used to strengthen his opinions?

He was married to a feminist activist. He supports women in nontraditional roles. He just views homosexuals as biological disease and thinks they should be cured. My grandfather doesn't need religion to be cantakerous and unreasonable. smile

I'm thinking about giving him dentures. More for comedy points than any thing else.
