"Oh really.....?" he said raising his body up and over her's a little bit. He moved his maw a bit, as if Backus was thinking about the words she had spoken. Were there things besides killing and maiming and torturing?! He was evil, damnit. And if the world didn't know it at least he himself knew what kind of weight he held. He sighed softly and rolled his shoulders back some, the pattern on his shoulder blade looking like it was turning round and round as he moved.
"Very well," he said coming to a solid conclusion inside his own mind. "If you're SO determined that there are....other... things besides killing and torturing then by all means.....share with me..."
And with that he sat down on his haunches, cocking his head to the side and expecting her to answer.

Rage smirked in Backus' direction. So he thought he was all that...least, thats what she believed from what she had seen so far. "Lots of things...surely you must've found somehting else worth while to you...perhaps something you did to a parent or sibling you found was interesting in your own mind that others disagreed with or something..." Rage stated simply trailing off. He must've found something else that he enjoyed, why were so many wolves she was coming into contact with so evil and dark hearted? Was she just a magnet to bring these wolves to her or something?
"Have you ever tried something different? Like...I don't know...gone somewhere new, found something you liked? You can't tell me that you are a wolf that lives a boring life in one place right?" Perhaps she shouldn't have said that...it could provoke, him, but it wasn't like she hadn't been in situations like this or worse before.

Backus simply made a 'hmmming' noise as he contemplated her words carefully. "My mother is a whore of a wolf, my father is insane, my sister is a heartless b***h, my other sister is also insane, and the last sister does nothing but talk to squirrels and crows all day," he said, lifting a paw up as he spoke as if counting off the problems his family shared. "Everyone disagrees with me....but I find..." he smirked a little and moved closer.
"I find that no matter what I do, or experience, be it new or old, nothing compares to the heart of darkness.....but if you really think you can show me something that doesn't require the brutality of life, then all by all means..." he said nodding his head some, "Let's see it..."

Rage tilted her head at him and thought over his response, shocked of how he spoke about his family...his mother no doubt! Backus seemed quite cruel and cold, but it was...interesting. Least to the darker side of Rage's mind Backu's as a whole seemed interesting.
"Well..." Rage said padding around in a circle thinking, "Sometimes, seeking out darkness, and calling on it for amusement and such...can become quite boring if doing the same things time and time again yes?"
She walked up by him again and purposely brushed her side against his, smirking at him, eyes narrowing a bit at him, the chains were breaking in her mind, "Sometimes you have to search out something you can go back to...that will keep you guessing...don't you think that would be more fun? Doing things related to teh darkest intentions...and having something change even the slightest, to keep you guessing and interested Backus?" she asked with a devilishly innocent smile.
This was turning out to be fun...in an odd sort of way.

"Anything you do over and over and over again becomes boring," he countered at his first statment, flickering his tail as he spoke. "Even monstrosities can become mundane you know. But....if you LOVE it enough then the monstrosities stay monstrosities and you're left more happy doing the same thing over and over then if you just stick to 'new' things."
As she brushed again he couldn't help but twist his maw into a rather cocky smile. "I suppose you do have a point with that one," he said rolling his shoulderblades slightly. "Then what is it you'd like to do Rage, hmm?"

Rage's maw curled into a smirk of her own, grinning back at him. She had lost all internal control at this point, her darker half in control doing whatever it pleased. Rage wished that she could gain control, and merge into what she wa supposed to be. But it was hard, and she not yet found it out yet.
Her darker half was having much more fun then Rage was, implying thigns she shouldn't, but her darker half enjoyed it. But when Backus spoke the name of her self as a whole, she huffed, but she wouldn't tell Backus her darker namesake, for he not not proven himself to her darker half quite yet. Talk was cheap to the shadowed side of Rage's mind.
"It all depends on what you think you can do Backus..." she stated grinning, walking past him again, trailing her tail over his side. Yes, this was fun, taunting him, yes, Rage's darker half was enjoying this quite much. "Do you think you have what it takes?" The question could be applied to anythign and everything, and she enjoyed that fact.

"No, the real question is...do you?" he counted, rolling his shoulders blades once more so that the movement made his already puffed out chest appear even bigger then what he already was. Backus wasn't the largest wolf for his age, in fact some might even call him a runt at times. But he carried himself with such dignity that it was sometimes hard to tell his stature. Though like any other male he was still bigger then most female counterparts. Still, what he lacked in size and muscle he made up for his countenance and intellegence.
"So far you've talked quite a bit," he said with a steady grin, "Yet I've seen nothing...."

Rage raised her head and smiled at Backus, "Course I do..." She circled around him again and brushed her hip against his side as she did so to taunt him. How dare he even think she didn't have what it takes? He had no right, he didn't know her, he didn't know what she could be, who she could be.
"Talking is good sometimes...action is better yes?" She spoke as she came to be in front of him again. She craned her neck over to his ear, openly exposing her neck showing she didn't fear him at all, "I know what lies in your lusting heart Backus..." She leaned back again and smiled at him devishly turning around adn tracing her tail under his chin.
"You say you have what it takes...so prove it...show that you can be fearsome...for what I see, is nothing to be afraid of..." She knew that would probably send him over the edge in anger, but the darker side of Rage was looking forward to see how he might react.

"Do you?" chuckled loudly, his maw twisted into a heart grin. "You know what's in my lusting heart? Now that's some feet isn't it...?" he continued in the condescending tones he had. He was going to say more, do something. Every time she rubbed against him he could feel his heart twisting around in his chest. And that was not a good thing.
"You're not a wolf....you're a DOG," he growled out before he lunged at her. Wanting nothing more then to SHOW her what his 'lusting heart' really desired. A body drenched in blood...at HIS paws. But alas, this was not to be. His heart....his goddamn heart. Just before he could bite down on her flesh he stopped and began to wheeze, pain etched all across his twisting and grimacing maw.

Rage watched Backus as he spoke, and her eyes narrowed at him when he called her a dog...how dare he. How dare he even compare her with those other creatures who could not even think or act as they wished, always pressed upon by thw two-leggers...she despised dogs, mainly for their contact with teh two-leggers....two-leggers stole her family from her.
She growled at him, tail no longer swaying but laying still as she watched him lunge at her, but she didn't even move or cowar because of his actions. She didn't fear pain or death, in her opinion she had already died once.
Her maw twisted into a grin as she watched him wheeze though she sympathized with his pain, "You say I am a dog...but it seems you are the one who can't do whatever you wish....you are even restricted by your own heart, at least I have more control over the pain my heart gives me..." now Rage was angry, beyond any other time she had been before. She snarled at Backus and rammed half-heartedly into his side. She wanted to hrut him, but she knew of the pain a heart could give its holder.
"Still think I'm a dog Backus? Hell, you wouldn't even be able to kill a dog...the way your heart takes control of you, don't give into the pain, control it Backus...or are you weak? Or are YOU the dog here Backus?"

He wheezed, his bi-colored eyes twisting up to get a good look at her before he doubled over once more, his maw twisting in pain. "I....you......" he couldn't even manage, it hurt so badly! He thought as he got older the pains would decrease and eventually go away, but alas, it was not so. He couldn't bear it, he felt as if he would die, die from an assualt his own body gave. And then in a flash it was over.
He took advantage of this and lunged at Rage once more, "I'll show you whose the dog," he growled in a fit of anger.

She watched as his maw twisted and he seemed to have pain run through every fiber of his being. She knew what the pain was like, she even experienced more of it in the joints of her body, her left paw aching with each step because a a bone that had grown the wrong way. Rage wanted to laugh at his statement as he lunged at her and she side stepped smirking at him,
"Why Backus, this is so sudden...is your heart taking control of you yet again?" she grinned, this was becoming too perfect. To taunt him in the most wicked of ways.
Rage craned her neck over, openly showing him the perfect spot for him to sink his fangs into, "Want this baby? Come and get it," she moved her head again and now stood oppposing him, her tail swaying behind her in a haphazard motion. This was too much fun, she couldn't remember the last time she smiled like this...least the darker side couldn't remember. The darker side of Rage was beginning to feel an odd connection to Backus, but if he couldn't tell her what he wanted, then perhaps it was a lost cause.
"Would it make you feel better if you got to latch onto my neck Backus?" she wasn't taunting him now, just asking him if thats what he wished for. "Just to feel like your in control, to feel power over another? Is that what you want?" she asked in all seriousness. "I would let you...but not to kill me...I have others to go after, blood to spill of other wolves so my life has not yet been lived in vein...I could let you...if you swore not to kill Backus..." she didn't know why she was standing down now. Perhaps it was sympathy.

"Oh I want it all........" he growled, rushing forward at what he took to be an offer, without warning he clamped down, but instead of biting he merely chuckled around her fur, before pulling away. "My oh my, you're not a dog..........you're a crazy wolf!" he chortled, still wheezing, but not as badly as before. Even the smallest effort got to him. "An entertaining one to boot..."

"Crazy? No, I don't think I'd call it that...I'd say...misled..." She smiled at him, seeing that he seemed happier by being able to clamp on her neck. "Ever feel like theres another part of you? Either more innocent or more dark then the other?" she was speaking in all seriousness. Rage had never been whole after seeing her family's death. She was torn in two.
"Perhaps I'm entertaining, but its what I am...I can't escape it really..." she watched him wheeze again and rolled her eyes and walked towards him and pulled on his left ear gently and pulled away, "Silly thing, pushing yourself too hard...a drink of water would fix that you know..." she said smiling. But to her Backus didn't seem that much happy as she wanted him to be.
"Tell me Backus, what could I do to make you happy at this moment? I don't like seeing other's suffer from pain they don't deserve..." her amber eyes were fixed on him, adn she wondered what was going on inside his mind not just hers.

He nodded at her advice, but only flopped down onto his side, still watching her. He had shaken his head at her first statement, he was all evil, but he didn't voice that, figuring it would only upset her. Briefly he wondered why he cared about upsetting her, but let the thought pass as soon as it entered his brain.
"Me happy.....?" He thought about it, "I'd like a new heart for starters but....if you mean something attainable........one day," he looked down at the grass, pawing at it while he spoke, "I'd like to settle down, have a family...one that was something to proud of, not the b*****d clan I have now.....a group of my own that others would cower in fear to........you know.........the simple things in life."
