Amadahy watched the blue mare shift herself watching something scatter into the bushes. She sniffed the air but the fact other familiars were present made it hard to decipher just what was what.
Everly blinked shaking his head. "T'wasn't me. I've been watching shaylee night and day. And now she's found herself someone to keep her grounded." he chuckled to himself at his little pun. "Bongo why do you have a trace of an apple then? Seems something or someone stole the two-leggers apples."
Istas frowned and noted that Bongo was indeed with Unesdala and Randee the time the apples vanished. And of course Everly was watching Shaylee who "does not" like apples over Sugarplums if she can help it. "Alright then Bongo we need your help. Seems some critter stole the apples last night when we were sleeping.", she said allowed thinking, "So in our best interest we can atleast help out.
There came a bunch of muttering then a confused sigh from in the teepee. "Ah the blankets are messed up and there's a string of feathers missing. Chepi what's going on?" the maiden said with an alerted tone. "First the apples then the blankets and my feather string are missing too.

Leah turned towards the teepee, perking up.
"What's missing now?" asked Leah, unsure on exactly what the voice said. "Another thing missing already? Well, that means whoever it was that is the thief wasn't one of us. We've been with each other this whole time."

Chepi rubbed her eyes and glanced about the teepee, her groggy tone suggested she had been in a deep sleep. "I dont know... they cant have gotten far. Maybe you just misplaced them?"

Bongo seemed all to confused but after a few moments it clicked.
"Did you try sniffing around?What ever it was had to leave a scent afterall."

Amadahy sneezed rubbing her muzzle upon her paws. Seating herself she scratched as the dreamcatcher swung back and forth. "I smelt something just now", she said with a cocked ear, "like the tief just passed us in our little circle. Is that possible or is it just a late deduction on a wolf's part?"
Everly stared unconciously out toward the deerpath. His thoughts trailed toward the black stallion and his niave little charge infatuated over him.
"Amadahy", he spokec in a soft tone, "that's not silly at all really. If things just came up missing something or someone was just here."
Istas looked at the familiars with a keen eye doning her silly hat. "Who here has a nose for this sort of work? Bongo has the right idea and so does Amadahy." she nodded noting a single feather of white lying nearest to the bushes. "Aha!"

Bongo raised his paw and rubbed his head hating that he brought up the subject.
"Where about did it happen, when taking care of foals its a good idea to train your nose case one takes off."

Istas took the first initiative with her trusty little hat she paced back and forth. "What I wouldn't give for a good pair of wings to fly after our culprit. Too bad there are no hawks around", she nodded with a concerned look upon her face. "Well sense of smell is with the canines unless you Bongo can act like a dog." she snickered to herself then looking toward the wolf and two foxes.
Everly shook his head then gazed over at Maylin. "While we are foxes we don't have a sniffing radius as good as a wolf I'm afraid to say." he frowned looking back at the small wolf pup.
Amadahy sighed standing on all fours. "I was afraid you's say that. Bongo stuff disappeared this morning sometime", she paused with her tail growing ridgid, "Wait a minute... I think I know."
She then darted off toward the deerpath sniffing deeply. "Here's another feather and and apple core. It leads into the path."

Bongo growls a little but snaps his paw uncaringly.
"Never under estimate a ferrets sence of smell, but if the wolf is so good she can just find the creature on her own after all what do I care?" Bongo said walking by Amadahy flicking his tail. He stopped suddenly spotting a paw print just under the bushes. He got close and sniffed it then compared it to his own paw.
"Looks ferrety but smells weird......"

Amadahy looked at Bongo carrying a feather in her mouth. "Well your sense must be better than mine because I can't find exactly where the smell ran off to. But I did find this feather near the deer path." she nodded looking at the ferret.
Everly sneezed and regained time to nurse his would. "Wish she'd stop being so thoughtless. So hard to track a flutter when they are hyper." she mumbled looking at the feather.
Istas scratched her head and looked about. "Okies I say its fieldtrip time. who's with me?" she noted straightening her hat, "If Bongo says its a ferret type then we know what we're up against."

"Im in I wont stand by while someone messies up the ferret name and make are new name weasel." Bongo waggled his tail ready to find out whom was causing this mess.

Everly shook his head. "I think I'm sitting this one out Istas. Besides you have Amadahy and Bongo to keep you company. That tree just about took my head and it thumps really badly right now." he muttered curling into a fluffy teal ball. "Let me know who the thief is."
Amadahy ran down the path carrying the loose feather in her mouth still. Perking her ears she could hear Istas and Bongo following her. If it was a ferret than it was either wild or a familiar to someone.
Istas secured her little hat and took off running after the little wolf pup. "Any ferrets you know that live around here Bongo be they wild or tame? Might lesson the clues to who we're dealing with.
