Ground units were always the easiest to pick off in Issildia's opinion, for normally they were put in front of a main siege force to simply act as a mundane shield against foes....so they were rarely trained well. At least in Shinra's case.
Then again it was on the ground that she was most efficient in dealing out punishment; for speed and evasion were Issildia's most formidable weapons...they were of the gifts granted from that accursed procedure that she had been involved in while still working for Shinra.
Waking up to a world that was completely foreign and having little memory of what you were or even who you were...was not a pleasant experience. But it was what Shinra probably wrote of as a "necessary evil"

The front lines armed enemy soldiers faltered as one of their comrades collapsed to the ground with blood pouring from a deep gash in his chest. The air near him flickered slightly as the outline of a form came into existence for a fleeting moment before it disappeared once again.
"Pathetic..." intoned what sounded like a distant voice.
Suddenly in an unseen instant the line of soldiers dropped to the ground in perfect unison, their throats slit with exact precision. Though the soldier at the end of the line remained standing for a short moment as Issildia appeared in a subtle flicker of wind...her blade bloodied to the hilt and still wedged in the man's neck.
"Like sheep to the slaughter." she muttered as she wrenched the blade away and allowed the corpse to fall to the ground, only to flick her blade to the side in order to remove the blood from its surface.

As the enemy commander slowly stepped further from his vessel, he could hear the faint sound of choking in the area. His weapon extended to the front of him, he followed the sound into the tunnel that connected itself to the pier. He did not have to walk far before he found the source of the choking. There was a large man, with his back turned toward the tunnel's exit holding one of the soldiers by his throat. The soldier's eyes had shown an unbelievable fear before he was hurled against the metal wall. the force of the impact was so great that it cause a section of te metal to cave in, trapping his body inside the material. As he turned around to greet the commander he held his hand to his head and licked the blood frim his fingers.

"Ugh...What the hell are you?" He asked in a sort of disgusted manner.

"Do you fear death?"

"What?!"

"Do you fear the dark abyss? Are your deeds noble? Your sins punishable?"

"Just what are you getting at?" He asked moving passed his confusion.

"I offer you a choice. Join us and postpone the judgment. In time, your sins may be forgiven. Refuse, and I shall deliver you to the very abyss from that which you have spawned."

"I think I'll take my chances..." He said as he took aim. "And just kill you now."

"Very well. Come. Allow me to enlighten you to the nature of death's messenger."

Issildia turned slowly as she felt the sensation of blood on her face as what seemed to be a well aimed shot grazed the side of her face.
At first it appeared that a bullet had been the culprit but a slender blade clattered to the ground as she turned to face her new opponent. One that she had been hoping the meet this day.

"Jherek...it has been some time." Issildia said lowly as her eyes fell on a man garbed in the uniform of the Shinra invaders. His eyes matched the venom displayed in her own gaze but still neither of them moved as if to attack. "You skills have yet to dull." she added in the same tone as she casually removed the glove from her left hand and wiped away the thin line of blood to reveal that the small cut had already healed over.

"Spare me the pleasantries, you know my intentions here Issildia." He answered darkly as Issildia replaced the glove on her hand, still refusing to break eye contact with her opponent.
"Yes...it would seem that your motives still ally themselves with those weaklings." She countered, looking away only to glance at the fallen bodies of the soldiers that she had slain, before turning back to him.

"If you will not come back to us, then you will leave me no choice." Jherek stated flatly as he drew the blade at his belt.

"Do not make threats when you do not have the means to carry them out. We have played this out before old friend, always seeking to end this game, and for what? To please your superiors? I seriously doubt that notion. You never were of that sort Jherek, not when I knew you anyway." she said in an almost causal manner, but the anger behind her words could be easily sensed.

"You never knew me." he replied before he suddenly sprinted forward with his blade swinging out in a wide sweep at her torso.

"You always were to slow, but you can thank your masters for that." Issildia uttered icily as her form seemed to disappear as it had before she slew the previous group of soldiers.

Within the very second that she had made her move Issildia appeared above her opponent, her form flickering into view as she swiftly decended with her sword arcing down towards Jherek's back.

The very moment that her blade would have met it's target he dropped to a knee and brought his weapon up to block the incoming blow, obviously aware of her tactics.

"This will never end you know, I know your every move, even before you can think to use them...And you are no different." He conceded as he violently threw her blade back and came quickly to his feet.

"It makes one wonder why they insist on sending you on this fruitless hunt."

"Do not flatter yourself," He countered. "My orders are simply to retrieve Shinra property. And you happen to qualify as such." Jherek said with satisfaction as Issildia's expression grew cold and expressionless.

Without hesitation she turned on him again, her form disappearing momentarily before the sound of their blades meeting echoed throughout the area.

A trail of corpses lead to the docking area of the harbor. The carnage was far worse than any the Shinra had ever sustained. At the edge of the harobor, a lone figure could be seen, his body surrounded by azure flame as he watched the vessels, which had been carrying Shinra reinforcements, make their way toward the city. He was in deep chant as the flames on his body began to flare up above him, taking on the form of what seemed to be a blue dragon, its roars echoing intot he distance.

Out in the sea, the flagship of the Shinra fleet had halted its advance. The captain stood on its main deck staring toward the shore with a pair of binoculars. He did not like what he had witnessed, as the flaming dragon took form and lashed out toward the sea. He quickly ordered his first mate to give the order to retreat, but by then it was too late. Azure's dragon had begun to lay waste to the fleet, tearing through its metals with scorching hot fire. The explosions could be seen for miles. the remaining Shinra soldiers, who also bore withness to this feat had begun to lose their will to fight. Their reinforcements had been slaughtered, and their only means of escape, destroyed. Once the dragon reached the Shinra Flagship, it granted their crew a most painful demise, releasing the same flame upon its deck, and engulfing the entirety of the vessel in blue flame.

Azure had begun to walk back toward the inner city as the dragon demolished what was left of the Shinra fleet. He could only release to himself a sinister smirk. The thought of the mighty shinra falling to only a few soldiers was most amusing to him, but at the same time, he knew that there were other matters that would have to be dealt with before they could call themselves victorious.
