A strange contraption on the side started to activate. Humming out as it was reared back to life. Suddenly a voice ringed out of it, repeating over and over. A child like voice.
"This is Astra, from Lyr. Atlier Imperia has been activated by the return of the Master. All prepare for the 'Welcoming'. Code 7th Heaven is to be commenced. Repeat. Code 7th Heaven is to be commenced. Dios Alma is to be set and prepared for the 'Welcoming'. Repeat. Dios Alma is to be set and prepared for the 'Welcoming'."
There was no one around, yet the voice continued to come from the strange machine. Was this one of those items from the past that allowed voice and images to travel long distances? And here it is. Suddenly activated. By whom? Why? How?

"Hybrid language?" echoed Justin. "Anything like that would be a bit awkward to both Runist or Lyran. Runist chants are partially instinct, after all... and unless you have a tribal great-grandfather, or perhaps a very very complex tattoo from one, then you wouldn't be able to use this, either way."
He wasn't even sure about the complex tattoo part. No one was really willing to have something engraved onto their skin like that, unless it was another strange Lyran fashion statement, and it was pretty much taboo for any Runist capable of endowing runist abilities to give them such powers, even if they could. Someone who had a tattoo like that would become literally mana hungry, too...

[Random person, a worker for Faris company?]
A scrawny looking man came running towards the two. With a lantern in hand. Panting hard as if he had run a long while.
"M-Master Faris. There is a strange flying thing up in the skies. What is your order sir?"
Bending low to catch his breath, he was already wheezing the deeper he got into the cave.

Celestra took out some writting paper and quilled pens. Graphing with persicion where and how far the twin peaks where from the laboratory.
"There, that should do. Now it won't be so hard looking for it tomorrow."

((School is evil, but it's dismissed today, whoohoo!))
Tucking her hair back, she turned to Aith'a. "Well I searched around and found the general location of my home. We can go back now. The sooner we get things done, the sooner we can leave our frozen home."
"As you wish Master."
As the power that runs the dragon is put on active again, the whole ground vibrated as the mana whooshed in and out lifting it up into the air again. Carefully turning around to make sure no mountain was knocked down, or crashed into, the dragon was up and ready to leave again. It was working well as if it were still new, if not a little bit dusty from little use.

Justin mused for a moment, then spoke in a tone somehow blunt and thoughtful in the same moment. "Well, perhaps..." Justin looked doubtful. This might go faster if there were two fully-developed men in each art here ,but that would evelop some communication problems... He nodded and walked to the structure, as if to say "shall we?"

Justin looked at the machine as well, thinking, trying to concentrate on the runes within, trying to visualize what they could possibly mean. Again, only vague pictures came to mind, which was perfectly normal for Justin, considering his half-bred or lesser status. If it was a hybrid technology, with its own language... could a rune circle for understanding be in the machine itself, rather than on a person? It certainly wouldn't be quite as taboo to make a made up language known to a Lyran...
"The key would probably need a set of runes and a chant itself to activate," said Justin, borrowing from his experience with his own contraptions. It didn't seem possible that this object was controlled fully by Runism... He posed a question. "Did the control seat have any mechanical means of control?" Okay... it was a bit awkwardly repetetive, but that didn't matter.

"Construction, I'm hoping?" he asked, though he half expected to be corrected with the answer of 'warfare'. He looked at the machine, following the 'flow' of symbols, the lines which would have most likely directed the mana. There did seem to be an indication of a keyhole, or at least a mana-holding aparatus... The symbols were frustrating to locate in his book, and therre were small nuances in the 'grammar' of it all that made things hard to decipher. He needed to get to the starting point of the mana before he could figure anything out. "How soon can we get around to the back?"

"You want to blow it off the wall?" asked Justin, wanting to make sure he didn't have any brilliant suggestion other than just the shell. In terms of raw Runism power, he couldn't do anything like lift up the thing himself. He could howerver, set it off, but not at a distance, and not in a specific direction. Charring the artifact didn't seem particularly appealing to him, nor did purposefully setting it off while anyehwere near the capsule.

Justin shrugged. "Well, okay, then," he said. He walked over to the capsule and took it in his hand. From his pocket, he produced a sort of scraping tool. The sound was like a mild form of 'nails on a chalkboard', but Justin had grown used to it; he didn't seem to notice as he inscribed a few rather simple runes on it. With his right hand, he made a movement to something in his pack, akin to clicking a dispenser, which was exactly what he was doing. With mana on his finger, he retraced the lines he had scraped, and then set the shell beneath the artifact.
Decompressing mana, or making it expand rapidly, isn't all that complicated. Most half-competant Runists could do it. With enough mana, and a strong enough shell, it gets dangerous do those who are less than fully-competant, though. Most of the markings on the mini-cannon were to control force and direction... This would just set it off like, well, a bombshell, instead of a gun shell.
With another 'pump' of mana on his tip, he began to trace a line to what he deemed was a safe distance.
