My mother and father were both raised Baptist, but I grew up with mom and she was more into spirituality than religion, so we didn't go to church much. When we did go it was a non-denominational Christian church. As a teen I started attending a number of churches with family members (Methodist, Mormon, Southern Baptist, Missionary Baptist) and one church with friends (Assembly of God) which eventually became "my" church. I left that after realising what hypocrits they were and toyed with Gnostisicm (sp?) and Satanism for a while, then decided religion wasn't important. At 23 I decided to have another go at the church thing and ran through more Methodists, Episcopalians, Church of Christ and some more Baptists. Again, it didn't work for me. I finally decided in 2000 that my new year's resolution was to sort out exactly what I truly believed, and then find out if any particular spiritual path seemed to match it. Two weeks later I met the woman who would become my very best friend, my teacher and my High Priestess. I best define myself as eclectic pagan with influences from Wicca, Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity, Kabbalah, Mysticism, and a smattering of pantheons such as Greek, Chinese, Egyptian.

chaoticpuppet chaoticpuppet You ready for a rather long list? I mix a lot of beliefs together (and when I say a lot, I mean a lot), in no particular order they are: Zen Buddhism, Various Christian teachings, Agnosticism, Gnosticism, Mysticism, Existentialistic Atheism/Secular Humanism, Various Paganisms (e.g. Celtic Druidism, Wicca, Shamanism, etc) Polytheism (mostly the Greek, Roman, and Egyptian Pantheons), Deism, Various Occult-isms (E.g. Golden Dawn, Alchemy, etc), and Satanic philosophy; and I am currently studying Theosophy and Jewish Kabbalah. As for the condensed list, Gnostic-Agnostic Deist/Zen Buddhist. I too, was originally christian, spefically Traditional Roman Catholic; I found too much hypocrisy, as well as illogicalities in the thinking of the Roman Catholic Church, as well as other Christian Demoninations. I then became a Satanist, for about a yr or two, then Wiccan, then Celtic Druid, now, I'm well, I friggin' quoted what I am. I am quoting myself a third time, simply because I don't feel like editing two posts. Anyways, I was just updating my religion list. You can add Judaism to what I am currently studying.

I just realized that I never posted here. So, I'm going to, now. I'm another person who blends many religions and philosophies. I supposed a nice list would be helpful, so here are the religions, in no particularly order:
Theravada Buddhism Italian Witchcraft Christianity (Specifical Christ's teachings in the gospel) Wicca Polytheism (Celtic, Norse, Roman) Modern Satanism Thelema Atheism Secular Humanism Various Other Occult Ideas Cartesian Skepticism (thanks to chaotic puppet for the introduction to this philosophy)
And probably many more that I forgot about it.

To friggin lazy to edit three posts, so I just quoted myself yet again. My revised list of religions I consider myself: Zen Buddhism, Various Christian teachings, Agnosticism, Gnosticism, Mysticism, Secular Humanism, Deism, and Satanic philosophy Place this (Various Occult-isms (E.g. Golden Dawn, Alchemy, etc)) along with the various other things I am studying.

Lets see... I was born and raise strict roman cahtloic went to the vatican with my nun/aunt and everything. I actully sat down and read the bible after that and became disgusted by all the inconsistancies in it and the general approach to women. I was agnostic for a while, then found paganism (I sence a trend here with that one). I'm currently pagan with a few twists. I never really was Wiccan it was too much of a set religion for me to get into. I guess I follow what feels right to me now.

Wiccan, though I hesitate to declare myself so. I'm still learning - and hope always to remain so - and when I tell people my spirituality, they tend to expect me to be able to recite six different versions of the Rede etc., and if I can't keep up an endless stream of facts, they automatically assume I'm not serious about it. rolleyes

i was raised Catholic but have had problems with christianity for nearly as long as i can remember. i consider myself a pagan because i believe there is a masculine and a feminine force and i consider the Earth divine. i don't identify with any specific pagan or heathen faith, such as Wicca or Druidism or anything though.
