Koin nodded briskly.
He heard Chachili yawn. Would he be watching her yet agian?
He heard the screech. He turned quickly to see the leapord. And it was hungry.
He bounded infront of Chachili and Kukuru. He lowered his head and his fur bristled angrily. A deep growl emitted from his throat as he bared his teeth.
"Leave!" he growled to the leapord.

"Ooooh... and what kind of animal are you? Don't you want to sink your teeth into those delicious beasts, too? Don't you feel hungry?..." the leopard stepped forward, beads of drool dripping from his maw, "Why do you, a predator, defend those filthy animals who are good for nothing but food? How disgusting... how could you? You disgust me, wild dog..."
Chachili felt... well, she felt a little 'bummed', to tell the truth. Here was Koin, protecting her. Again.
Koin was always looking out for her. Always doing things for her. And Chachili felt so... well, she felt she owed him something, and felt that he was doing too much for her. She was 'prey' after all. Others would look at Koin, saying things like:
"How shameful, a predator protecting mere prey."
No. Chachili wouldn't stand for it. She could let others call her 'prey', and she would let others look down on her, and treat her like dirt. But not Koin. She wouldn't let that leopard get away with it.
"Think before you speak!" she yelled, charging straight at the leopard. With an almightly blow, the leopard reeled, shocked and winded, and stumbled back. It coughed, then looked at Chachili with spite.
"You're going to pay for that!" it roared, ready to slash at Chachili.

Koin simply rolled his eyes. "You obviously don't have at least one person you feel the need to protect," he growled lowly. He kept talking, and he scensed Chachili's anger rising.
Chachili charged him. He'd expected it. She was angry.
"Don't touch her," he growled as he was ready to strike. He tackled the leapord, his fangs at the leapords neck.

The leopard instantly yelped. Squirming under Koin's grip, it twisted, desperately trying to move. But it was pinned down.
Chachili moved closer, eyeing the leopard spitefully. Then, when it looked like she was going to give the creature a large kick in the mouth, she stopped... and grinned.
She leant down to the leopards ear, and, with a large "CLAM", she shut her jaws down onto his ear. The leopard flailed wildly, and managed to escape from Koin's hold... and ran off, with nothing but a sore, throbbing ear.
"I'll remember this!" it screeched, running off into the grass. Chachili smirked.
"He'll have a bruised ear tonight," she winked, "We sure took care of him, Koin! Nice teamwork!"
Kukuru just stared.
"You lied," he grunted at Koin, looking annoyed but quite cute, as well, "You lied to me, Koin. You really are a warrior!"

Koin sat up as if nothing had happened, his fur wasn't bristled anymore. But he chuckled.
He nodded. "He was trying to get me angry to get me out of focus. Seems you got more angry then I did," Koin laughed.
Teamwork...
"Hmmm..." he 'hummed' with a nod.
"Lied?" he questioned the the klips. He chuckled at his cute expresion and his explination of how he lied. Shaking his head, he replied. "I'm just a wanderer, following the wind."

Chachili looked around to see if anything else had followed her. Nothing.
"Just wait here a moment, Koin," she grinned, darting into the ditch. Moments later, she came up again, sighing, "Makuu's fast asleep. It doesn't look like he'll be awakening any time soon."
Kukuru chuckled.
"Bwathar's a sleepy head," he grinned, and got another n** on the ear from his mother, "Ooooow!"
"At least he doesn't do stupid things... like following me into danger," Chachili grumbled, then looked to Koin, "I do apologise, Koin. You came all this way. Hopefully, I'll introduce you to Makuu, soon."
She brightened.
"At least that leopard wasn't intelligent enough to decieve you. Uurggh... if I was more powerful, I'd give him something to wash out his dirty mouth. Something more painful than a n** on the ear," she growled, "A hare taught me how to box. I should have tried that out today... I missed my chance!"
She paused, then bowed her head to Koin. He was the only predator that she trusted enough to show respect to. Only Koin, nobody else. Because he would never harm her, nor her fawns.
"Thankyou for today," she nodded, "We'll have to get together for another chat, sometime. I'll introduce you to my little Makuu. Well, I'd better get down into the ditch... when Makuu stirs, he'll be hungry. See you later, Koin! Come now, Kukuru."
Kukuru paused, not wanting to leave Koin's side, but eventually looked up at the wild dog and nodded.
"I like you," he smiled, then followed his mother into the ditch.

Koin nodded. He didn't mind coming back again.
"It's alright, Chachili. I'll be back." he said with a nod. Chachili was his closest friend. He chuckled as she spoke of boxing.
He dipped his head in respect to the mother of two as well. He had never bowed to anyone before. He respected her greatly for her courage, and her respect to him as well.
"I'll see you again, Chachili. I'll be waiting to see Makuu next time I come," he said.
He chuckled at was Kukuru said. She shook his head. A light breeze ruffled his fur. "The wind is calling..." he said, walking off in the direction of the wind.
