Eriara I'm gonna need a lot of help with this one. Yesterday I was having a debate with myself about science vs. religion, and I started wondering, what if there really is nothing after death. What if we really just stop existing? Uh I don't really believe that after death that we'd stop existing. Even though, it is very interesting to think about. I think that even though our body may be destroyed, our soul will live on forever. So, I think we all will be reborn again after death. sweatdrop Yet also,......I believe that if you died peacefully you'll go up in heaven. And if you died filled with hatred or sadness.....you may not be able to move on.

I believe strongly in past lifes and rebirth. Even my teacher who is a christian reconizes past lifes. Like she'll meet someone and quietly whisper to her self, "This ones an old soul" or "This ones young." My sister is a young soul. She has only had two past lifes. I know this because every time I do a reading for her I only get two different results.
I do alot of past life readings. Most of the time people get different results each time. That's because there's no telling how many past lifes they've had. My sister though has only two. She is the reason I believe so strongly. Every time the same cards in the same places no matter how much I shuffle or which card I lay in the spread first. There are always only two out comes for her.
She has alot of dreams too about her past life. I ussually see them too. Have you ever woken up from a dream someone else is having at the same time. It only happens with my sister, my new friend and I.
After everything I've seen I seriously doubt that there is nothing after death. After this life is over I believe my soul will choose to be reborn rather than stay in the spirit relm. Only one that has obtained peace in their last life will not return. With everything that is going on in the world, I'd say most people in this age will be reborn.

What if we really just stop existing? Personally I believe in reincarnation (non-transmigratory though) but to answer your question, what if we stop existing, the answer as I see it is simple. If I die and that's the end, I won't care, because I won't exist. I believe in continuing life, because otherwise I'd get really depressed, but to me it won't matter if I'm wrong, because as I said, I won't even know. Wow, rambling. I hope that makes sense.

Well....think about this. Science dictates that (and I shall quote my microbiology book) "Energy can never be created nor destroyed."
Energy is constantly changing forms. Death is only another one of those changes. Your thoughts, your soul, your energy does not just disappear. That's physically impossible. It goes somewhere.
It may simply go into the grass above your grave, but hey. I personally think being grass would be a nice change. mrgreen

i believe that when we die we are removed from our bodies and guided to the summer lands where we either teach what we have learned or learn what we need for the next lifetime, after this period we are sent back into a new body and we start the process all over again.
