More than a little creeped out by the sound of the Crystal Guardian's voice, Vashtya skittered to do as he was bid, slender fingers clutching at Shakti's still-blindingly-bright surface. Taking a deep breath, he wondered when would be an appropriate time to ask if the Crystal Guardian knew anything about the letter, still folded neatly in his pocket. "WhatdoIdo?" he exhaled, hoping he didn't manage to screw this up, what with his limited (nonexistant!) experience with magic.

Already the room had identified the crystal held by the soon-to-be summoner. Small flashes of yellow sparked across the walls, the electric light sporadically joined by purple jolts of energy. The ever present glow of the runes diminished to a soft, golden glimmer as the magic awaited the start of the summoning spell.

"To begin your summoning," the Guardian said at length. "Place the crystal upon the stone mount. There." One shadowed arm motioned toward the altar.

Gently lifting the shimmering crystal from the plain leather satchel he'd been carrying her in, Vashtya carefully placed Shakti on the altar in question, stepping back quickly, as if half-afraid he was going to break something.

Shakti, as she drew nearer to the altar, began to glow more vibrantly, her glittering depths throwing forths shades of yellow previously unimagined.

As the crystal was placed upon the altar the room was engulfed in absolute darkness, for an instant the room itself seemed to shake as the peculiar summoning circle descended upon the crystal beneath it, spinning slowly as the epicentre of said circle was penetrated by the angular and sharp spikes of the glowing crystal.

Within the darkness, the crystal pulsed with a warming light and the summoning circle now surrounding it continued to descend towards the altar that awaited it's caress. Eventually it did so and with another shudder from within the room the small wispy tendrils protruding from the crystal spiralled upwards - a small being beginning to emerge from within the pulsing light.

For a time, it is virtually impossible to distinguish however at last the amber eyes form and turn their attentions towards the summoner - blinking abruptly as the light from the crystal disappates and the darkness that had engulfed the room recedes leaving a more clear form of an Elysian before it's respective summoner...

Tentatively, nearly shaking as the foot-long hydra formed before him--she was, to sum it up, exquisite. Speechless, for what must be the first time in his life, the red-headed half elf reached forward, having forgotten the presence of the rather disturbing crystal guardian in his glee. As his delicate golden fingers delicately touched one fragile-seeming flipper, the hydra solidified, and gracefully came to rest on one of his slender shoulders, golden orbs surveying the cloister of summoning with a distinct air of satisfaction.

Stumbling, near incoherent in his amazement, Vashtya somehow made his way back out into the main hall, his mouth seemingly frozen in an awed gape.

The summoning now complete, the Guardian watched in silence as the Elysian and chosen left the room - once again silence befell the temple and after a few moments the ethereal being extended her hands to the now grey and split crystal. It's usefulness had ended and it had done well in its job but now the guardian had no choice other than to remove it and prepare for the next summoning...

"Summoner," the guardian called behind her as she pushed open the door to the summoning chamber. "Come forward, your crystal is ready."

The chamber seemed almost anxious as the lights played across the walls , throwing the colorful illumination on the otherwise shadowed wraith. The guardian seemed uninterested in the dancing lights, her eyes were fixed on the door, waiting for the arrival of Renault.

Renault studdered as he walked under the giant doors leading to the Cloister of Summoning. He was nervous, but who wouldn't be?! Renault heard the CrystalGaurdian call him, so he replied, "Okay..." Ren studdered in his speech as he was nearing the CrystalGaurdian.

Renault saw the beautiful lights which made him very calm. He felt as if the room had a very soothing aura. "Now...what do I do?!"

The guardian nodded to the summoner as he entered and made the familiar motion toward the altar. "Place the crystal upon the stone mount, and your Elysian shall be summoned to you."

As the words left her mouth the runes began to glow, and patterns of icicles and snowflakes slowly spread across the walls in a beautiful display of soft blues and yellows. The room itself began to cool in anticipation of the icey Elysian's arrival.

The sudden change in temperature sent a sudden shiver up Ren's spine. Renault looked around to see evenmore beutiful lights. "Amazing..."whispered Renault as he moved towards the stone mount to place sakis on it. Before he placed Sakis down, Ren tightly hugged Sakis. "You will never look like this ever again. You will look even more beautiful then you are now! Good luck!" whispered Renault as he had a faint smile. Then Renault finally placed Sakis down...

As the crystal touched the stone tree, ice began to form around the base of the altar. The temperature in the room dropped in time with the summoning circle as it crested the top of the crystal and slowly spiraled down the glowing shard. The guardian seemed unaffected by the change, but it must have been uncomfortable for the warm-blooded Renault.

As soon as the circle reached the altar, a familiar thrumming filled the room. The Prime Crystal's presence was almost tangible as the runes on the walls danced to life in an aurora of blues, purples and yellows. A flurry of snowflakes appeared around the brightly shining crystal as the spell of summoning grew to its peak and the form of the Elysian began to manifest. The creature's ice blue eyes gazed through the gate at it's summoner, a single wisp of mist marking the release of a long held breath.

Renault was shocked to see Sakis, who had been summoned from the crystal. Sakis was beautiful! "Wow! Sakis...you look amazing!" exclaimed Renault as he looked Sakis straight in the eyes. "Wow! Thank you CrystalGaurdian!" Renault went closer to Sakis and gently picked him up and made a flat surface with his hands.

Renault started to walk to the Main Hall, with Sakis about to doze off in his hands, and looked back to see the CrystalGaurdian fade away with the closing of the doors. Renault then whispered, "Wow..." He then looked at the now asleep Sakis.

So soon after the previous summoning, and already the runes in the room were flashing - urgently at that. Elemental magic pulsed through the room, surging from one rune to the next... and only gaining momentum with every cycle around the cloister.

An unearthly (and vaguely annoyed) voice called out, "Come forth, kheleksul, and bear your long-awaiting crystal to the alter." The words were accentuated by the crashing and pounding of unseen waves, resonating throughout the chamber in anticipation....

kheleksul shuffled forward before hesitantly uncovering her crystal. Her hand hovered over the altar. I'm ready for this. I can handle this sort of responsibility. As her crystal came down resolutely over the stone mount, the runes flashed blindingly before fading to a muted glimmer as they senses the beginnings of the summoning spell.

She barely shot a glance over at the Guardian, who's shadowy form drew towards the crystal.

Crowning the glowing shard with its brilliant light, the summoning circle descended upon the crystal, swirling downwards in an almost lazy spiral. As the circle made its way down the length of the shard, the glyphs etched on the walls flared back to life.... only now, rather than just glowing, the runes were shimmering. Shimmering... and surging in some sort of fluid motion.

... Water elemental ...

A hum, barely detectable, started to build, keeping tempo with the rapidly brightening shard, both in intensity and volume until CRACK! Light bent and formed itself into a serpent. The blindingly white form threw back its head and screeched loudly as its body solidified.

... The hum died down to nothingness again ...
