The shortest amount of time it took me to finish a book was about eight hours and it was the 6th Harry Potter book.

I usually don't have enough time to finish a book in a row but I count it anyway. It also depends on how much I'm into the book(although it really isn't that hard to get me into it). But I kind of have an average I will list here.
somewhere around 500 pages: 5 hours
somewhere from 300 to 400 pages: 3 and a half hours.
somewhere between 300 and 200 pages: an hour and a half to two hours.
100 pages and less: an hour or less.
Thats if I'm really into it.

If I own the book, it can take me months for a short one, unless its a super good one. Got one I'm readingand it must have been a year ago I started it. The shortest lime was probaly 45mins but the book was probaly only about 100 pages long. Library books I read really fast because, I don't know. Most, around like 300 pages I can read in about 3 hours. Then I grumpy and bored since I finished all my books and have nothing to read.
My brother though, He read all 3 LOTR books in a week, 1000 pages. That would have taken me a month or more, though I'm a HP fan, not to into LOTR.

When it comes to book I usually read until I'm done. Each of the harry Potter book, Cyteen, even Battlefield Earth were each read in a single day.

I normally finish a long book in three to five hours if I enjoy it. It will take me two or three days if I don't.

Depends on the length and reading level of the book and whether I'll really interested in reading it or not.

my averages are about 500 pages, I usually read a chapter before going to bed, reading during the day varies so I usually finish a book in a month, I cannot stay immobile during a whole day reading
