As the lynx girl and her caretaker enter the room, 'Doctor' Mycota had just completed a very amusing phone conversation: over repeated requests for her to turn her Bobby McFerrin tape down so the person at the other end could hear her more clearly, they had arranged an appointment with a child who apparently has the DNA of a unicorn. This is a very exciting prospect to her- so much that the words "UNICORN BOY" are written so large on the appointment calendar that they take up an entire week on it. Thankfully, there are several arrows pointed to the exact date and the time is written at least six times so there's less chance of her forgetting than usual.
Her mushroom-shaped head whips around cheerfully as Pi's knocking causes to the door to open completely, and her body follows in an eerily autonomous fashion. Her hand presses the stop button on a beaten tape recorder, stopping the cheerful reggae singer inside at "Don't Worry, Be Ha-".
That wide grin does not change at all as she looks down at Lucia, which might cause her to look menacing to the lynx child. "Ah, hey there. Y'here for a dose of needle-pricks, yeah? Gimme yer name and stuff and we can get it over with." she says, as if the child had arrived fashionably early to a party.

Before Pi can answer any thing..
"NEEDLEEEEEE, Mom you don't said nothin about needle, I go to home" Lucía crosses her arms in her chest, and she looks loweringly at the doctor. she tries to leave toward elevator but Pi catches her. "MOM LOOSE ME I DON'T WANT NEEDLE"
Pi ignores Lucía and introduced to the doctor " Hello I'm Pi Samanier and she is Lucia Samanier" she says while subject Lucía with force in her arms while she tries to escape.

Myxo's grin becomes amused and somewhat lopsided as she sees the the lynx girl have a fit. She has nothing against kids, but she can't help but feel highly amused and triumphant on seeing this. At last, a kid who sees the horrid vaccinations for how they are portrayed on television! Oh, glorious day!
Well, now she better try and calm the kid down so the actual needle-sticking can commence. "Aw, c'mon, needles aren't so bad... would y'rather get stung by a bee, or be stuck in bed with a nasty debilitating disease forever until ya die?" she says gruesomely. "Th'first, you can get right back to playing outside, after, but the second'll mean you might never see outside again. Or whatever else y'like to do, yeah?"
"Now, be a good kiddo and sit up on the bed, will ya, Lucia? I promise it'll be done quicker'n a locust call, and ya won't have to worry about getting really sick after it." the genomancer coaxes, already beginning to prep a needle and syringe.

"the needle arent bad, HA if this is no bad but the needle in you no in me" She doesn't listen much more and she attempts with more force to escape from her mother. "LUCIA, if you want this Necklace that you have requested me, you will be better than you behave and pay attention to the doctor " Pi notices that Lucía stops to try to escape "good girl, now sit up in the bed"
Lucía murmurs mad "if I had brought my skates you had not caught me" then she glare to Myxo " better you dont hurt me or i bite you Doc" she grimace and show her teeth
"Lucia!!! you necklace, remenber" Pi says noticing to Lucía, anything better than a small blackmail.

"I'd demonstrate on myself for ya, but that'd be unprofessional, huh? You'll just have t'take my word for it," Myxo grins. Like she isn't unprofessional enough already.
She does note the child's developed teeth with interest, but is of course not intimidated by the little threat. "Haaah, I'm not scared of you bitin' me. I got skin like a rhino, and there's security cam'ras all over the place, anyways. You'd get in big trouble, kiddo." she says, pointing ambiguously at the ceiling. If the kid takes the bait and looks up for any cameras, then the doctor will use that to her advantage so the kid can get her shots and everyone can get on with their lives.

Lucía looks at Myxo with very mad face " you finish once for all with this, I want mommy buy me the necklace yet" then she shows her her arm and she closes very strong the eyes "and I hope you know I don't like you" she shows her the tongue.
Pi tries to don't laugh at her daughter's behavior but she escaped a small almost inaudible giggle.

"Ah, you'll thank m'later when ya get bit by a squirrel or somethin', and don't have t'worry about rabies or tetanus or whatever," the doctor says with a dismissive wave of a free hand, sticking the kid's arm with the needle at last. "And then you can tell your friends aaaaall about your adventures with th'evil doctor and her terrible needle, eh?"
The vaccination done, she retrieves a powder blue bandage from out of one of the bandage boxes, and sticks it over the 'battle wound'.
"And there y'go, you're done!" Myxo says with muted glee. Then she remembers something that's always said on TV: "Now, that wasn't so bad, was it? ...Ahh, I'd give you candy, but I don't have any yet, hmmmm..." She digs through her drawer yet again, and this time finds something good: a coupon for half off of a banana split at a local ice cream parlor. It is presented to Lucia with a flourish.
"Alright, you're all done! If somethin' happens, though, go ahead and call so my boss doesn't chew my head off. See ya 'round!"

Lucía notices a small jab, not very painful the truth, but she won't say it to the doctor. " yeah you are a evil doctor" she grimmace. "but you chose my favorite color for bandage, you aren't so bad at last".
Then she is rotated toward her mother and she tells her "I'm good and I let the doc put the needle now you buy the necklace" she smile so charming.
Pi nods so amusing " Ok Lu, say bye to the doctor and go" she turn to Myxo " Bye doctor is a pleasure meet you" she and Lucia leave the office.

"T-tovar, I dun want needles stuck in me; it'll hurt, Michael said it would and that they'd suck out my brains through my blood." In all honesty, Etain looked to be on the verge of tears and Tovar half dragged and half shoved him into the waiting room, both hands firmly clamped on the little boy's shoulder.
"He was lying," Tovar said, trying to pitch his tone of voice as smoothly and calmly as he could manage, forcing the little note of irritation down as far as he could. He wasn't angry at Etain in any way - it wasn't his fault he was scared - but Michael... Michael was another matter entirely. "It might sting just a little, but I promise it won't hurt for very long and it definitely won;t suck your brain out, alright? Besides, after this what did I tell you we'd do?" Carefully, Tovar edged Etain closer to the reception desk.
"You s-said we could get i-ice cream. An' go to the park, maybe." Etain eyed the desk warily, but allowed himself to be nudged closer. Tovar kept a firm grip on him, not wanting to let go lest the little boy go cauterwalting back to the door and fleeing from the thought of vaccination.
"Er," she Tovar to the recptionist behind the desk. "We have an appointment for vaccinations?"

At the receptionist desk is none other that the great doctor herself, Myxo Mycota. It seems like she's been waiting there for quite a while, complete with a just slightly disturbing grin of eagerness on her face, much like how a child Etain's age would look if he were told that he was going to spend a week at an amusement park, living off of ice cream, funnel cakes, and cotton candy. The woman's spinning around in the chair behind the tall desk, a stained styrofoam cup in one hand spilling java all over the place.
Of course she stops when she realizes someone is in the room. The sound of it is much like bad car brakes.
"Ohhhhhhhh~, it's you! I've been waiting for you all day!" the doctor glees, shooting up from the chair (it topples over and clatters to the far wall) and clapping her hands excitedly. "Etain, right? The unicorn kiddo?"
She vaults over the desk and lands right in front of Etain and Tovar, bending down to ruffle the gene-spliced child's hair in a roguishly affectionate manner. "You're so adorable! I'm Doctor Mycota, and I'll be doin' your vaccines, kay? My office is thataway~" And, she literally skips over to said office, sure that the unicorn would follow! She's more pure than holy water in an ivory goblet, after all! Really.

Tovar started a little. He had been getting progressively more accustomed to random strangers suddenly breaking out into shrieks of affection or outcries of 'D'awwwwwwww!'s around Etain, but...but he just hadn't been expecting it here. The sudden burst of attention and compliments did do some good, however: it certainly served to make Etain more comfortable, the little boy's ears flicking forward with a sort of instictual, witless glee at being liked and fawned over. He shook himself out of Tovar's grip and, more like a dumb but completely happy puppy than the scared little boy he had been a few moments ago, Etain lumbered off after the young woman, almost immediately clutching the edge of her coat and following her into the office.
Tovar gawped a little like a fish, blustered a bit, and then floundered after the two. Etain liked women and girls, for the most part anyway, more than he did men but it was still a touch odd to see the unicorn to get so suddenly affectionate with someone. That last time that had happened, he'd gotten poked with a stick by the woman's son, and Tovar had been fairly sure that had been enough to discourage Etain from getting too friendly with people after that.
Maybe it was because the doctor didn't seem to have a child of her own, Toivar reasoned, sliding into the office after Etain and Dr. Mycota.

The unicorn boy's grip on her coat made the genomancer very happy. And when she was happy, she also got a little reckless. Despite her slight disillusionment, she was actually a bit surprised that the kid took to her so quickly. She was worried that her scrambled-beyond-repair genetic makeup would have an adverse effect on him- right now, it seemed to be doing just the opposite.
She just about toppled into her office, barely missing getting her face scraped by her pipe-organ arrangement of needles and vials and bandages. The large bowl of peppermints, caramels, and cinnamon candies next to it were thankfully unharmed, and the small plate of homemade fudge on the other side that would actually prove to be quite delicious managed to escape unsquashed. It's probably a surprise that she didn't have confetti and streamers in the room as well.
Sitting down in her token doctor's stool, she pointed Etain towards the chair for patients, grinning like they're about to ride on a Tilt-a-Whirl. "I promise it'll only hurt as much as a baby bee sting, kay?" she says as she grabs a needle and the vials with the correct vaccinations in them. "You got some magic abilities poppin up, right? This stuff might screw 'em up, but only for a coupla days." For once, she actually sounds a tiny bit reassuring.

Etain plopped himself down into the chair without brooking so much as a squeak of argument. Tovar hovered uneasily near the door in the meantime, casting a wary glance around the office. Maybe D-Corp really did employ crazy people - not that he was saying that the doctor was off her rocker or anything (admittedly, she seemed to be pretty good with kids and that was a big part of this whole ordeal, wasn't it?), but it was all just a little weird to a person whose experience with doctors was a white sterile room with drawers and shelves and a hollow-voiced middle aged man who said 'Breath in,' 'Breathe out,' and 'This might sting.'
Etain nibbled his lower lip, more out of habit than nervousness. "Never been stung by'a bee," he chirped, though the lack of background knowledge concerning the metaphor didn't seem to bother him too much. For whatever reason, he seemed to trust Myxo implicitley, his little purple sandaled feet swishing back and forth almost in time with the flick of his ears and fluff-ended lion's tail.

Truthbetold, Myxo isn't always the best with kids. But if dealing with kids gets her money, lodging, food, coffee, and chance encounters with unicorn children along with the ability to play with needles unsupervised, then bring them on by the truckload!
In an amazing act that probably defies physics, she shoves the plate of fudge into Etain's lap with one hand while prepping the needle with the other. "Well, there's things that hurt alot worse'n a bee sting, so don't worry, kay?" She tenderly rolls up his sleeve and makes doubly sure that she'll be hitting the right vein- not only out of her own interests, but in the back of her mind she knows that she would be completely toast if she ended up responsible for screwing up a mythical creature.
The injection takes a couple of seconds longer than normal. This is partially because she's actually taking the time to not risk hemorrhaging anything, but there's also the added compounds that'll stop any magical intervention on the part of strengthened immunity.
