Personality: Frey is, admittedly, a bit of a worrywart when it comes to the people around her -- to her, you can never be too careful, but it starts to get ridiculous when she replaces all the knives with plastic counterparts. She wants to be able to support herself well, but doesn't have all the abilities necessary to do so. She doesn't do very well around other people and tends to let her words slip without thinking them through beforehand.
History: Orphaned at a young age, Frey grew up in an orphanage. She was very close to the other children she shared rooms with, and ended up being the one telling them stories about the great things to be seen in the 'outside world'. She managed to make her way out of the orphanage -- exactly how is not known.

Personality: Iris is a feisty little thing, to put it simply. She's easily aggrivated by the strange human lingo that she doesn't understand, and also by moody people. A bit obnoxious, but not too overly so. She believes everything and/or everyone should be HAPPY, and if they AREN'T, she'll just have to force them to be happy! .. right?
History: Iris spent a good part of her life living by herself in a forest, but soon became fascinated by modern society after being outcasted from the woods. Nobody really knows why she was outcasted in the first place.. just use your imagination.

history: keiko and joeye were adopted at the same time, but keiko preferred to live in the temple that is at the edge of crewel manor. this existence worked out well for the two daughters: keiko had solitude, and joeye didn't have to share her territory. when keiko sensed that joeye was in danger, she moved back to the main house to give and get support from her family. regarding her biological parents--keiko's mother is the heiress to an immense fortune, but got disowned when she married the town playboy. he did not have anything to his hame, and he already fathered countless children. he was counting on marrying into her family, but that didn't work out when she got disowned. since his scheme backfired, he took to drinking. keiko's mother died in childbirth, and keiko almost died as well due to her father's neglect. she was finally rescued by an adoption agency and was adopted by cardi. she had no idea where her father is, and she did not want to find out.

history: wynde is joeye's familiar. he was a gift from her father, who decided she needs a servant at her side all the time. joeye was swift to tell wynde that she did not need anyone serving her. thus, he is perfectly content sleeping. the only person who can disturb his sleep unscathed is joeye.

dislikes: disorder. there is nothing that would drive llane crazy like leaving the slightest piece of disarray and preventing him from straightening it.
personality: llane is obssessive-compulsive, but that's okay because as a supernatural being, he has no need for sleep. he was horrified by the state of crewel manor when he took on a permanent physical form. since then, he has been busy keeping everything straight and perfect. he had taken over all housekeeping duties and made sure everything ran like clockwork. he is also a skilled manipulator and can steer everybody to do what he wants them to do. if llane is human, his love for order and his manipulative tendencies would make him a very powerful man. as cardi's grombie familiar, however, he is fiercely loyal to her. he would not think twice about giving up his existence if she ordered him to do so.
history: llane became cardi's familiar after she was transformed into a grombie. he moved into crewel manor the morning after the halloween 2005 ball, but he didn't really make himself known until after illidan moved in. his primary purpose is to serve cardi and carry out her nefarious whims. unfortunately, cardi isn't really the evil type of grombie. and so llane had to make do with being crewel manor's majordomo. cardi offered to give him the mirielle name, but he refused. his strong sense of work ethic would not let him accept the mirielle name and pose as one of his master's children. instead, he took the name of the manor to show that he is bound to maintain the household.

likes: gossip. he knows everything that's going on. he also doesn't let on that he knows everything, so he's a great person to confide in. everybody else has given up ever trying to keep secrets from him.
dislikes: liars. what's wrong with simply saying "i cannot tell you that"? arc knows that there are things that should remain hidden, but covering them with blatantly false information just doesn't make sense to him. not when there are so many ways to hide information without lying. or maybe he just despises people who can't be manipulative enough to avoid lying.
personality: arc is very friendly and very flamboyant ("it takes a real man to wear pink!"). he makes no secret of his bisexuality. he also makes it very clear that he thinks joeye is hot. he makes everything his business. however, even though he is very in-your-face, he is also a very subtle and cunning manipulator, the likes of whom is rivaled only by llane. at times, he can also be brutally honest--brutal in the sense that he knows everything that is going on and knows how to dish it out.
history: arc is a supernatural being like llane. he had been a disembodied being in crewel manor for centuries, formed by the love, lust, and passions that occurred within its walls. it never crossed his mind to take on an avatar, but when he saw that llane's physical being was accepted into the crewel household, he decided to materialize, too. following llane's lead, he also took on the name of the house as his own.

likes: strawberries. he wouldn't mind eating nothing but strawberries. which is a little weird, because as a supernatural being, he shouldn't experience hunger.
dislikes: that bitter taste when he eats a little too quickly after brushing his teeth. that taste with strawberries puts him in an especially bad mood.
personality: nicu always appears to be in a state of bewilderment and disorientation. even visits to keiko's temple did nothing to help him. in fact, he's not even sure it's an unpleasant state to be in. the only time he is not bewildered and disoriented is when he is tending to his strawberry garden.
history: nicu is a supernatural being who materialized with his twin sister, alakina. he has absolutely no idea what their purpose is. they just mysteriously materialized one day. everybody just assumed that they were an embodiment of some aspect of crewel manor's past, like arc. llane's more specific theory is that they are a diabolical manifestation of cardi's creative writing. of course, it's hard to see anything diabolical about them. leo's more specific theory is that nicu and alakina are the lords of the manor's patisserie. in any case, both nicu and alakina took on the name of the manor, strengthening a growing trend for cardi's mortal charges to take on the name of mirielle and her immortal charges to take on the name of crewel.

history: alakina is a supernatural being who materialized with her twin brother, nicu. she used to be joeye's and keiko's imaginary friend when they were young. interestingly enough, back then, she always appeared to them by herself. she always knew that nicu is her twin brother, even before she met him. the first time that she and nicu met was when they materialized after arc moved in. even then, they felt like they've always known each other as twins.

Personality: Hot and cold, just like her magic. She tends to be very aloof at first, and doesn't trust anybody in the slightest. However, she makes a loyal and trusted ally. She has a biting, sardonic wit. Although she is normally cool and calm, she is very passionate under the surface. It may not show, but she genuinely cares about her friends, even if she can't bring herself to place complete trust in them.

Special items/weapons carried: Sword - A flat, tapered blade leads down to a four-pronged crossguard that is encrusted with diamonds and sapphires. The grip is wrapped in a reddish suede and the three-piece pommel sports a large, possibly-mystical red stone.
Daggers- Two silver daggers are housed one in each boot. Suitable for throwing.
Satchel - Contains money and potions/dusts used in spells.
Notes: I usually play her at about 2000 years old, but I'm not so sure how that's going to work here. I've played her younger before, but it confuses me. It's easy enough to remember she hasn't acquired some of her powers and skills yet; however, she shouldn't be nearly so rough-around-the-edges at 18 or so, and I always slip back to that.
Notes 2: I've decided to play her at around 25, shortly after she acquires her healing abilities and agelessness. A lot will have happened to her, so she'll be starting to pull away from people, but not quite as much as when I play her at centuries old. I really need to write her origin in.

Is a generally nice person to everybody, hyper, outgoing, loves to runs, and swim. Shy when doesn't know you. Loves poetry, books of all kinds, and writing, but doesn't show her stories to anybody, afraid they'll get rejected. Loves all animals and drawing.

Backround
16 months old; Dad left mother, and moved back to england.
5 years old; Mother died Febuary 12th Drunk driving. Alex went into foster care. She was in and out of peoples homes. Met a nice couple, stayed with them for 3 and 1/2 years, they died, and Alex was back to going from person to person.
10 years old; Got a job at a humane society because she worked so well with animals. Got laid off, she went to homeless shelters for food and lived in an old abandoned building be a small creek.
Alex's 13th birthday; Was at the library and met a nice lady, while reading through a Georgia O'keefe Biography, she ended up talking to her and took Alex out to lunch for her birthday, they became good friends, and later on, Mia adopted Alex.
14 years old; Found out she had a twin. Dad is dead. Mia is going to adopt Mina Elvira Dove also.
