I would have to say evil Xellos. Because then he is, truly, the opposite of Good Filia. 3nodding Also, I'm into that whole angst thing, and goofy Xellos can't pull it off that well. neutral

Baby_Kitty_Toes Which version of xelloss do you like better? I rather see xelloss acting all goofy and annoying...after all, that's what made me think he was great in NEXT Now that I think of it more... Evil is more for me...It suits more for the " Sore wa himitsu desu"

People are probably going to disagree violently with this, but I think Try was really, REALLY bad. It sucked. They totally screwed Xellos up and ruined his cuteness. That's what we loved about him, wasn't it? His way of not tricking people and being so cute and innocent about it the whole time?
I hate Try and never watch any of it except that one where they're in the town that forbids dragons, because Xel seemed more silly there. (Even with his new Try attitude: "You got it, sister!") I know he's a mazoku and that by definition he's evil and blah blah blah, but I still liked his personallity better before he aquired that stoned out look that they show so much in Try (The one where his face is all shadowed and all you can see are his eyes). *sigh* If the rest of Slayers was going to be written like THAT, I'm kinda glad they didn't make a fourth series. >.<
Besides, he's better when he's secretly planning something the whole time, rather than acting and looking completely evil all the time.

Nope I dont hate you... Yet...Heck I dont really even know you Lol. I do agree it let down his " cuteness" a bit. But I personly love the dark side. It says it all in my journal Lol. It shows what Xelloss can do if he's not in restraint. In NEXT he was held back so Lina wouldn't know he was a mazoku. But in TRY his orders were to do whatever it takes to recruit more members for the monster race.

I agree with Recca. Xellos isn't supposed to be cute. He's a mazouku. He's evil, pure and simple (as you predicted we'd all say). I loved Try (my favorite season) because it showed his true nature. As Recca said, he didn't have any bounds put on him. I thought it was awesome. He's not the type of creature I would actually want to meet in real life. I would probably run away.

I just like him when he's being silly more than evil. When he's evil it's not that I don't like him, because I know that's his true form, but he I just like him more when he's messing with people's heads and being annoying then when he's being just plain evil.
I wouldn't want to meet him in real life either, really. Unless, perhaps, he had a necklace like Inuyasha does, and I could stop him with one word... but then I couldn't sleep or he'd kill me... hmm...

The other one I liked was the Artemey tower one where he dressed up in that cute apron and was chopping stuff up so fast, so everyone thought he'd do a great job. But then he made that poisonous stuff that can kill a Golden Dragon and so he lost... I think he should have won for that!
Did anyone else notice that he tasted it before he said the part about it killing a Golden Dragon?

I loved the look on his face when Valgaav was making the "We're trapped in a cycle of hate forever and ever and ever and ever and by the way, Volphied, Darkstar and I, we're rebelling against our creator! Isn't it cool?" shpeel (again, not in those exact words). I've never seen that expression on him before. He wasn't enjoying that bit! ...and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever...

I like how he almost always has the same sort of expression as well. There are some scenes where everyone else is terrified/shocked/angry/whatever, and he's just smiling or at the very least has a blank expression on his face. One of the only times he seemed to react exactly the same as everyone else was when Gourry said that he knew all along that Xellos was a mazoku. I have that scene saved, where everyone is all together. Xellos looks cute when he's shocked. heart
