"Naw, I won't go 'round hurtin' no one that don't deserve it. Someone told me that the kids were fightin' Kat so I thought she did somethin' bad an' all th' kids were gettin' even so that's why I did that. She got me in a headlock though, real fast...for a girl." He shrugged, still a bit embarassed that he got beaten by a girl... an adult girl, but a girl none the less, "Anyways, ya wanna play somethin'? Somethin' about needin' air an' burnnin' stuff off."

He'd never heard that about Kat, she had always seemed nice though he'd only met her on a couple occasions, "Sure! I'd like very much to play something." He said, wings giving a flutter, "What sort of things do you like to do?" Aside from tackling at least he thought to himself that idea almost causing him to laugh.

"What do I like tah?" He put a hand on his chin, "Well I like tah brawl but you don't seem to like it much or nothin'... we can play hide n' find but it's not so fun with only two peoples an' a dragon. We can play knights! I'll find sticks and we'll play that. Or king of the hill on the tires?" He brightened, crouching down and swishing his tail around, "I'm good at that. I pushed Edan right over on his bum."

Ligeia would rather not admit that he'd never played any of those games, he was normally engrossed in books, practicing his flying, or playing with Vorel. Things that were physical weren't really his forte but... "I will try my best." He said, giving a smile to the other child. He could try after all, the worst that could happen was him losing right? And he wouldn't feel to bad about that so long as they had fun.

Cody snapped his tail to either side, throwing a fist into the palm of his other hand, "Den you get tah name which one ya wanna do. I'll learn you up right good how tah play like a pro. Den maybe if ya keep workin' at it I won't be able tah tackle ya so easy."

Ligeia thought on the choices for a moment then nodded, looking over at Cody, "I'd like to try the 'king of the hill' game that you were talking about." He said, giving a nod. Yeah, despite Cody having said he knocked someone named Edan on his backside he also said that he would help him learn the game.

"Kay! 'ere follow me!" He turned around and bolted towards a bunch of tires that were half-way in the ground. Normally just things for children to climb under or on top of, jump from one to the other, it was the ideal 'king of the hill' battleground. Cody pulled himself on top of one of the larger ones, stomping it with a hoof.
"Kay what'cha do is ya both stand on somethin' like this an' face eachother then lock hands." He made a motion as if demonstrating what he was explaining, "Then ya push on eachother. No feet, only hands. If ya knock the other guy off den yer king o' the hill."

Ligeia followed after him, flapping his way up to the top of the tires then listened to the explaination given to him, oh wait... that was how this game worked? Oh.. man...
"I will do my best." Ligeia said, shifting his gloves to make sure they were on snugly so as not to chance his nails hurting Cody. He was sure that throwing around a light weight owl wouldn't be any problem for Cody but... he really did want to try these games even if he did get knocked off the thing a few times. One never knew maybe he would get the hang of the game right?

"Das all anyone can ask for right?" Cody stomped on the tire he was standing on, offering a hand down to the owl boy, "'ere I can help ya get up here if you want. When I first tried I fell on my back n' got back chips down my pants 'cause the tires are hard for me to stand on." He motioned to his hooves, "That and stone floors. Winter had tah replace what was in th' kitchen so I didn't go n' scuff it up or nothin'. Makes me slip n' do th' splits if I go too fast."

The owl took the other boy's hand and pulled himself up and flapped his way up to land on the tires above the other boy. He flapped then gave a bright smile, "I think I would be ok without my sandles on." He said tempted to take them off so that he could grip the tires with the talons on his feet. Then he decided that it might be considered cheating since Cody admitted that his hooves made the game harder.

"Yeah! Use what'cha got. I wanna see how good ya can do, kay?" Cody crouched down and put his hands out, "When yer ready you put yer hands in mine den we push against eachother, kay? No kickin' or headbuttin'. Das dirty fightin' an' I only do that if that's the rules ya wanna go by."
He flicked his tail, "When ya play ya gotta make sure you say 'clean' or 'dirty' so you know which rules ya goin' by."

Ligeia took a breath and then reached forward to take his hands, "Kicking and headbutting sound like fine things to leave out." This was his first time playing and he rather like the idea of a 'clean' game instead of a 'dirty' one.
"Will stick to clean, thank you." He murmured, bracing his feet.

"'Ere we go!" Cody gave the boy a warning before simply throwing all the weight of his upper half accross into the owl boy's hands, grinning and grinding his teeth. He'd played king of the hill with Edan once before, the poor Cortlin had been knocked backwards and rolled from the tire, landing on his back with his legs still up in the air resting against the tire. He had cried... men didn't cry.

Ligeia was ready for it, had his feet braced, was ready! ... The problem was Ligeia didn't weigh much of anything so really when the coy boy's weight was thrown against his own meger weight try as he might he could feel himself getting pushed back... He opened his wings as if readying to catch himself when he inevitably fell so as not to land on them. He gave them a flap as he pushed back against Cody... this game was a bit hard wasn't it?
