"Probably," he said, with a small laugh. "Maybe I'll race you once you learn to ride a bike. That might be fun," he said.

"Hey, yeah! That's a good idea," Taye replied. He didn't really know what else to talk about, though. "You want to do something?" he asked, "I mean, you don't have to if you don't want to. If you want to just go that's okay." He hoped that Takai would stay, but he didn't want to make the other boy feel obligated.

"Its fine staying here," his tail swayed calmly. "Its not like there is anywhere else to go anyways," he said. He flinched after saying that. After he said it suddenly sounded rude.

If anything sounded rude, Taye hadn't noticed. "Okay then." He thought a moment. "Do you have any brothers or sisters? A lot of the other cats I've met do, but I don't have any."

"It is fun talking to people. I kind of wish I had siblings. Maybe I will some day," Taye said. "Have you met lots of others? I met a few a long time ago, but I haven't talked to them in since then."

"Nope, I haven't met a lot of other people. Thats why mom told me to get out more," he said with an embarrassed, but happy-go lucky laugh.

"Don't worry, I haven't met hardly anyone lately. Just you, really! The others... We were kids, I bet they're all different now." Taye smiled. He couldn't really think of anything else to talk about, though. "Do you know anything good to do or talk about?" he asked, hoping Takai would have some ideas.

"I didn't know anyone as a kid," he said.
"I think I've got a bike at home. It's Mom's but I'm sure she won't mind. Maybe you could try," he said.

"Really?" Taye's face lit up. "I mean... I don't know. Are you sure?" It fell again, as he realized he may wreck the bike. Then again, he had a higher probability of hurting himself than the bike. "I'd love to, if you really think it would be okay."

"She never uses it, so I'm sure!" Takai said with a bright smile. His tail flicked hyperly again.

Taye grinned. He could always replace the bike, anyway. "Awesome! Where do you live? Will you lead the way?" he asked, getting up. His tail swished slowly back and forth, he was happy.

Takai stood up. His tail flicked again. "Of course!" he said, starting off in a seeming random direction. He was slow, so the other cat could follow next to him, but still at a semi-normal pace.

Taye followed Takai as they made their way to his home. "Is it far?" he asked, not really minding if the walk was long but just looking to make conversation.
