"Even so," rumbled Mteuli in a comfortable purr, "No one here would take offense so quickly. I would like to think we are as open minded and accepting as possible...besides, my dear, I don't see how you could offend anyone." He offered Chamiyu a soft smile as she loped along after Kauta, moving to take a smooth seat at her side looking out at the water. "You're too sweet to be one to offend anyone in any offhanded matter, Chamiyu."

If Chamiyu could blush through her black velvet fur, she would've appeared as a bright rosey pink cheeked lioness. However, her blush wasn't seen and she instead communicated her happy embarrasment by shifting her head so that her bangs moved out of her sight. Sitting down beside them both and glancing out with awe over the gently lapping water, Chami replied with soft chuckle, "You're too kind!"
Then, looking at their reflections in the water, Chami swore that she saw a brief reflection of her future here. But for the life of her, she couldn't remember what she saw. Then, in an excited burst, Chamiyu exploded a happy sigh and stretched her toes into the soft dirt.

As Kauta lowered herself more comfortably to the ground, she eyed the pair with a small smile, watching the body language between them, little hints she wouldn't have noticed or recognized not so long ago. It was only because she'd been in the same situation herself, or a similar one. Chamiyu and Mteule probably didn't even realize what they were doing; or if they did, their advaces were still tentative, hesitant.
Kauta chuckled, curling her tail about herself. "I hope you enjoy it here," she offered. If there had been any doubt before that Chamiyu might not be welcome here, there was little reason to doubt anymore.

Mteuli was aware of his own stirrings of feelings, but he was being very careful. He was never one to rush-not in friendships, change, or anything of the kind. He took his time. He thrived on the natural, if slow, progression in life and in this case it was especially clear it was such. He smiled at his Queen, seeing her curious look over the two of them and simply told her smoothly, though the comment was directed more towards Chamiyu, "And I share you're hopes as well."

Chamiyu looked out over the valley and grinned bashfully at the Queen. Could she really see how her heart fluttered around Mteuli? Shuffling her black paws nervously into the dirt, the black lioness laughed and nodded her velvet head, "And I know I'll enjoy here too. Anything must be better than being alone. And this place is just...It's heaven compared to what I came from."

Kauta's reply was purred. "Thank you... I'm honored you regard our home so highly." After a moment, she rose once more to her paws. "And now... I think I'll take my leave, and leave you two on your own for a while. I'll see you both later."
She wanted to loosen up, lose the confining formality of her rank. She wanted to go find Mteule. So giving the Ardhi priest a quick touch of her tail in parting as she passed, she slunk through a wall of foliage and disappeared, her pelt seeming to meld with the browns of tree trunks and other flora.

Mteuli nodded his head in a small bow to Kauta's retreating form, a warm smile upon his maw, "Thank you for meeting us, my lady." He was grateful the first person from his own to meet up with his companion had been someone such as her. She had a very welcoming manner, even if she didn't seem to realize it.
He shifted, turning his gaze comfortably back to the pretty black lioness at his side. "I am ever so glad you're not finding it hard to take in," He told her smoothly and with sincerity.

"You're welcome," Chamiyu replied with a grin that brought up her cheeks to bunch up underneath her bright blue eyes as she watched the lioness queen fade away. Then she turned to Mteuli and stretched her paws into the welcoming earth. "As am I...As am I..."
And the two lions at together enjoying the scenery in simple quiet bliss.
