Damn, that is some skillful handywork, Bra. Man, the most I can do with my hands is make a cabinet and... Say the joke and you're a pervert and a dumbass Jhay... Aight...
Anyway, I'd sure as hell want to use it. Maybe if it shined it would look like a real blade, but the time and effort it you must have put into it shows. It's damn well done...
If I had that skill, I'd make a Cerberus... Or a Conformer... Heh, that'd be awesome...

That looks really awesome, keep it up. I can't wait to see it finished. And if you bandage it, I'll find you and beat your a** with a replica of the Masamune blade. Bandages make the sword look less awesome, and takes away from the ability to take it apart and use it strategicly.

Jhay-R If I had that skill, I'd make a Cerberus... First of all, I agree with Jhay-R there, and secondly... That model is freakin' awesome, dude. 3nodding

For the bandage, I would either put it in with a texture during UV mapping or make a torus and flatten it, scale it, and move it to a point where it surrounds the sword, then move the verts into place so it hugged it, however, I wouldn't bandage it at all.
