"I think so," she agreed with a smile, "Souls are all different, distinct. Just like lions." Unless one counted reincarnation, but that was a technicality. Her head was held with a slight upward tilt, despite the slow speech, they weren't bad things to hear.

"What's so surprising about it?" she asked, looking around them with a somewhat dreamy smile, "There's a lot of life around here, it's fantastic." Mtima looked back to Fedha, this was clearly what had attracted her to the area. It was bright and lively, and she loved that.

He wondered what things she could find out from a lion just by looking at them. Could she see souls? His pride restricted him from asking these questions, though.

He sat himself down, his posture was more like a females than a males. "I don't mean... life in general.." He cringed, slightly annoyed that she'd missed his point. "I think there are a lot of gods around here... as well as.. other beings of curiousity." Himself included, being a seer and all. Could she tell Seer souls apart from normal ones?

She also took a seat, settling in comfortably. Her gaze didn't leave him as he cringed and commented on what she'd said, and her nose wrinkled slightly in amusement. He wasn't pleased with her comment, but she didn't seem to mind.

"I meant that as an explanation of why I came here," she explained, "I can only speak for one god around here, and that's me." An eyebrow lifted at the mention of other curious creatures, wondering what beings were curious enough to count as special in the same way as the gods, "Which beings do you mean?"

Ah, this was proving to be a little difficult. Well fedha knew he wouldn't just be handed what he wanted in life. "Well I mean Seers, of course. I've met quite a few around here." That was partly a lie, he'd met two female cubs and heard of an adult around the parts. Himself included it totaled to four seers... actually that was quite a lot. "Perhaps the pridelands just attract higher beings." He did think himself better than the common mortal, expecially after his chat with mrost.

She didn't look surprised when he mentioned seers, not in the least. Instead of commenting right away, she nodded to show she'd heard him and then let him finish what he said.

"Seers, higher beings," she repeated a select few of his words, "Like you, right?"

Being a seer was not tangible, it was not something you could physically tell about a creature. The parts of a being you could not see was the soul and it was indeed something she could tell. Not only that, but from what she could tell about this young lion, he did seem the type to consider himself better than other mortals for this kind of gift.

So she could tell the difference between regular souls and seer souls. "Yes, like myself." He had no need to hide such a thing, he actually thought it good to boast about such an awesome thing. It was a power not even the gods posessed. Mrost even said they could evade gods, how awesome was that? It was very much so.

But after that he wasn't sure what else to say, so he remained silent.

It wasn't hard to tell what Fedha'Kialio thought of seers and their abilities. She watched him fall silent, thinking about seers quietly herself for a moment. An interesting bunch they were, to be sure.

"Why do you think this is a popular spot for gods and seers, Fedha'Kialio?" she asked, mildly interested in his opinion, "You got rather quiet."

Fedha slowly smirked. "Quiet is often rewarded on such things like the hunt." He shrugged lightly. His tail flicked idly and he let his gaze wander to the horizon. "It just just because I have met so many of them here, and no where else." It was as simple as that.

"There's no arguing with that," Mtima agreed with a small smile, looking him from head to toe, "But you aren't hunting at the moment, are you?" Her tone was caught between a question and a statement in her last comment. His interest and his comment could be suspicious, but she didn't seem concerned.

But now it was his turn to reply in a manner unsuited to the question, or previous statement. She hadn't meant her question in the way he answered it.

"I don't mean your experience," she explained, "I'm interested in what you think it is about this land that makes it so attractive to gods." There was a brief pause, "And seers."

"That saying was more for an example, quiet could be rewarded for other things as well." His tail flicked slightly and he looked around when she posed her question.

"Attracted to this land?" He scoffed. "How should I know, it's rather ugly. The only reason I am here was because of an outing with my mother. And the only reason I am back is because I am searching for another." But he did rather enjoy running in with a second god, even if she wasn't all that helpful with what he needed.

But she had feathers on her wings... He wanted to fly. He wanted wings of his own.

Mtima nodded in response to his explanation for the hunting comment, though she would perfer if he was more conversational. At least the comment got more words out of him. Her nose wrinkled in amusement and she laughed quietly when he scoffed.

"I think it's rather nice here," she gave her own opinion with a smile, "Oh, who are you searching for here now?"

His eyes flickered over her. Would she know him? Was he afraid of Mrost, or all gods? "I don't think you'd know him, it doesn't matter anyways." He said softly, his gaze moving to the sky. "Hmph, well it's just too... too different. My home is much prettier." Well of course he would think that!

"You never know," she said with a shrug, though she had no intention of pushing the matter. If Fedha'Kialio did not want her help, she would not offer it to him. She grinned at the mention of the Pridelands being different, and his favoring of his own home.

"I'd imagine you are a bit biased," she commented, "But where is your home? I might like to see this land that is more beautiful than this one."
PostPosted: Fri Aug 18, 2006 7:56 am

Fedha shrugged lightly. "I can not help what my heart yerns for, born there or not. Perhaps one day I will travel to a much prettier land, but I haven't yet." He stretched out his front paws for a minute. "I live in the Umande'Mfuni lands." The jungle was much different than these vast, dry lands.

Ah, but then a question struck him. "Do you have a homeland, then? Do all gods come from different homelands?"

Umande'mfuni, she repeated to herself, making note of it. Perhaps she would try to visit it sometime, see if it was a place to her liking- more beautiful than the Pridelands. With a smile, Mtima looked back at Fedha when he asked about homelands.

"I do have what I'd consider a homeland," she stated, referring mainly to the area in which the Pride that worshipped her and her brother had resided. To her, that was it- to others, they may not consider it so. "And I can say it would not be the same as other gods, except for one." It was sort of an answer to his question, she obviously had her own opinions of what made up a 'homeland.'

(( XDD; Seriously, sorry for such an odd answer. I did ask around about one point of origin but couldn't get an answer unless I waited even longer. So you get her opinion instead of definete fact. ))
