Roule pursed his lips. This boy stuttered too much and though he was sometimes sheepish and shy, this was pretty far! After Anoki batted away the hand, the weasel nursed it like it'd been hurt and gave a small raspberry. "Hey, I'm Rule 'n I'm a weasel! Hello Mmdusa and Anokee." Nev sighed. The boy did like introducing himself with name and species, wherever they went. Even if it was in the presence of non-dcorp children. She smiled at Mahou and turned to Kanth, "Yeh, the petting zoo sounds like a good idea. I think they probably have one, let's just try to make our way to the map." The girl pointed to the large board a few feet away.
Taking Roule by the hand, she guided him along the many crowds of children and adults, attempting to get through without being swallowed. She checked that everyone else was following and scanned the map. "Alright, it's not that far from here.. It's a bit farther than the feline exhibit which... is that way." She pointed to the left path, leading into large mesh and plexiglass areas. "Guess that's it then?"
The pale boy was simply following his Ma, still intrigued by the small stings he was recieveing randomly over his body. He didn't really know what was causing it, Roule just wanted them to stop. Frowning, he looked around, just in case there was some sort of poltergesit pinching his fur. None. Strannnge...

 "A Petting Zoo works for me," Kanth agreed, smiling at Medusa and ruffling her dreadlocks before directing her after Nev, making sure she had the girl in sight at all times.
Lowering her head, Medusa glowered just slightly at not getting the attention she was trying to get. She was see through, wasn't that cool to stare at for hours and hours?
"No glowering. You get enough attention at home," Kanth scolded, immediately getting a sorry look from the jellyfish girl. She didn't mean to gather attention, but it was nice to make new friends. Glancing over to the horned boy, Medusa edged near him as she was walking, and gave a small smile, trying to cheer him up.

Oh, were they giving their animals too? The blue girl didn't say hers, but the boy said he was a weasel. Whatever that was. Anoki would have to look it up when he got home, or ask Mahou. In the meantime, the least he could do was offer his own information. "'m a N-nubian ibex."
Smiling, Mahou patted the boy on his head. Socialization was good for him. "We're going to the petting zoo, Anoki. They'll probably have some goats there. That should be fun, right?"
That perked Anoki up a bit, and he nodded emphatically. Goats, he knew about. He also knew that the goats there probably wouldn't look much like him, but they would probably be cool anyway. The promise of seeing (and maybe even playing with) anything goatlike brightened Anoki's mood by several watts. It was not enough, however, to completely erase what had already happened.
As such, he completely misinterpreted Medusa's look and frowned. "Wh-what are you l-looking at? I'm n-not d-doing anything."

Nubian Ibex? Roule hadn't even heard of either words before. He could only presume it was some sort of thing with horns because, obviously, Anoki had horns. Hearning "goats", well.. they had horns right? So Anoki was some sort of goat? The weasel sniggered slightly at that but looked over to Medusa to wait for an answer. What animal could she possibly be?
Nev nudged the kids to the direction of the farm, urging them along. "Geez guys," she answered, grinning like a fox, "get a move on if you wanna see those animals!" Roule looked up questioningly, blonde strands falling all over the place. "We see animals? Which ones?"
Sighing, the girl paused from ushering the children to replying in a weary way, "you'll see when we get there, a'ight mia vita?" Roule brightened significantly but grumbled slightly at the annoying nickname. It was worth it though, 'cause the zoo was pretty fun, despite the multitude of humans and the heat... He would get Ma to buy him sunglasses later.

Seeming to brighten at his look, Medusa pointed at herself and stated softly, "Gelfssh." An eyebrow rose before she put both fingers to the sides of her mouth and grinned, trying to show Anoki how to grin.
"I haven't been to the zoo in forever," Kanth breathed, glancing around in awe. "They've changed so many things."

A fish? She said she was fish? Anoki didn't know too much about aquatic creatures, but he knew that the girl didn't look like a fish. In fact. she looked more like the ocean itself than anything else. While he was tempted to say so, he held his tongue. If she said she was a fish, maybe she was.
Quickly assuming her role, Mahou kept one eye on the children, the other on the parents. An opportunity like this had to be used. One merely needed to ask the right questions, and they could discover a wealth of information. "If you don't mind my asking, ladies, how exactly did D-Corp come to bestow such gifts on you?"

Quirking a brow, Roule attempted to figure out what Medusa had said. Fish? Something about a fish? Whatever, she was pretty cool looking, and he decided that he would just guess through the animals in his mind before trying to figure out what Medusa was.. which wasn't alot mind you.
"You don look like a fish." replied Roule, looking for flippers and gills and the alike. Could fish be out of water? He wasn't sure, but Ma had told him that they couldn't breathe on land. Weird.
Nev sighed and scratched the back of her head. "Well.. haha, I'm not really sure of that myself... I remember walking about with him and feeling rather stunned though. The D-corp guys had simply came to my door and stated 'well, do you want to see your child?' It was kinda.. intimidating, you know?" Grinning haphzardedly, she blinked at Kanth and Mahou. "Do either of you have better stories?" She asked, chuckling.

"GELfsh," Medusa corrected, giving Roulette a sullen look. Honestly, why couldn't they listen?
Kanth smirked, just slightly. "It was a business card, really. Nothing more." She didn't really care to go into the details, as it was a bit personal. She didn't know them that well yet, therefore it was on a need-to-know basis.

"I see," Mahou said blandly. She knew better than to volunteer information herself, but what came from the others was interesting enough. It seemed that D-Corp was giving children to people whether they were wanted or not- and in many cases it seemed to be not.
A gel-fish? To Anoki, that sounded like a fish made of jell-o. And while Medusa certainly resembled the tasty dessert, he didn't think that was what she meant. Still, it couldn't hurt to ask. "L-like j-jell-o?"

"Jellllllloooo?" Roule asked, ears perking up. The sweet gelatin dessert was always one of his favourite things to eat, despite his ma relenting it constantly, because of the huge mess he usually caused by making it. There were so many flavours too! Too many to name of course, and too many that he couldn't prounounce. If Medusa was jello, what flavour was she? He hadn't actually seen blue before, so Roule wasn't too sure. Anoki had made a good point, but if Medusa was made of Jello, could he eat her?
Nev chuckled, slightly naively. She wasn't one that witheld information, especially if others asked it. Young and rather slow at times, the foster-mother could sometimes barely keep up with her growing son. Smiling and humming an addictive song to herself, the sounds and smells of farm animals came into ear and noseshot. Wrinkling her own nose slightly, Nev pointed to the brown farm across the lot.
"Allright, almost there then!" she hollered to the kids, awaiting a response. It was Roule's first time even being around normal animals, so she was anxious to see what was going on with him. The girl was pretty sure it was a first timer for Anoki and Medusa as well.

Jello? Medusa had never heard such a thing! "Wats je.. jey-lo?" She asked, her eyes wide. What an interesting word...! She completely missed the announcement that they were almost there, and instead continued on, intrigued by her new friends.
Seeing Mahou's look, Kanth gave a smile. "They wouldn't be able to pry her from me if they tried. Wouldn't wish for any other kid."

How was he supposed to explain what jell-o was to someone who looked just like it? Anoki wrinkled his nose in concentration, trying to come up with an adequate description. "'s l-like g-goo. Yummy, sw-sweet. And s-see th-through, l-like you."
"How wonderful then," Mahou smiled back. There was some honesty in her smile, as a wanted child was always better than an unwanted one. She worried about Anoki sometimes in that respect. But on the whole, D-Corp didn't seem to be doing a horrible job placing their experiments. That of course was an opinion, and would not be part of her report back to Raven.

Roule nodded vigorously. She didn't know what jello was? Well, they'd just have to introduce her to it! He grinned broadly and slowed down to catch up to his ma.
"Maaa," he begun, interrupting their conversation with a cute pout on his face. "Mdusa said shes never eeten jello befor.. Can we get her sommme?" Asking this, he knew that if his mom said yes (which she will), Nev would have to get some for him and Anoki as well.
Nev quirked a brow and gave a smaller smile, patting the weasel on the head. "Later, if we can find any, right?" She turned to Kanth, "Can Medusa eat jello? That'd be something I guess we all want to see."
The petting zoo was in view now. "BARTON ZOO: PETTING ZOO" was displayed on a wooden board, with various wooden animals around it. Pens of animals, goats, cows and other farm animals lay around with multitudes of children and parents crowding around.

"I don't have a problem with it," Kanth said as she chuckled, turning her head to grin even further.
"Lookit all teh aminals!!" Medusa stated, eyes going even wider than they had before. She was intrigued. "Kan ay pet um?" She asked, staring up at Kanth with a pleading look.
"That's what they're there for," Kanth murmured softly, glancing around for some sort of gate to let the kidlets inside.

It sounded like they were going to get jello later! That was smart, to ask a grown-up about it, and Anoki smiled at Roule in appreciation. Letting the younger girl taste the dessert was a good idea, and if they got some in the process... well, all the better.
And then they were there. Anoki's eyes widened, taking in all of the "domestic" animals they had- especially the goats! But the other animals- sheep, donkeys, some bunnies, and a tall thing that when he asked, found to be a llama. Whatever that was. "Can we see closer?" Anoki asked excitably, looking for the way in.
"Sure, Anoki. But be careful." Mahou found the gate into the nearest pen and opened it a little, enough to let the children in. The the adults she offered a suggestion. "Sometimes they have feed for the animals, perhaps we should try to find some."
