I have never played any Final Fantasy game at all but i got into ffVII cause of advent children but i know a lot about vincent. The main thing is that you need to know is how vinny ended up in the coffin and why he is chaos. but in DOC a lot about vinny is revealed such as his chaos form and why he is waht he is. also bout his past as life before when he was part of the turks. So i guess you dont have to play FFVII but do some looking into the backgrounds of the game.
