The movie will be crap! That's why everyone is gonna see it. It's a new kind of crap. My mom's gonna see it because she likes Samuel L. Jackson. I'm gonna see it because I want to see what crowd would go see a movie like this. Everyone has their own reasons. And I haven't seen a stupid movie I've liked since Charlie's Angles:Full Throttle.

I saw it and I thought it was alot of fun. It's nothing great or anything but it was fun to see with my friend. The crowd was really into it and the movie theater gave us "Snake Plays", a script of stuff to stay DURING the movie. Like everytime they say "Flight 121" we're suppose to scream. Heh, silly stuff like that.
And on the subject of Clerks II, I thought it was very good. Regadless of if you disliked the non-independent or whatnot, the message was still there. Clerks II was very meaningful to me as I'm stuck in a dead-end job which happens to be fast food. I related to the plight of these characters and it really touched me.

Saw Snakes on a Plane last night.
Oooh yeah. There was some serious audience reaction. I live near a college town, so all the guys in the back were yelling the whole movie. I just need to see these kind of movies on opening night because I really enjoy it when the crowd isn't too cool to scream when they get scared. You can only get those high energy crowds at midnight screenings or opening night. After everyone's seen it once, they know what's gonna happen next and it just anticipation.
Yep, it was bad. But the excitement in the audience and the cheering makes up for it. If you're into that sort of thing. I'm not normally, but sometimes it's fun to be part of something...something HORRIBLE... rofl

I feel so upset after seeing this. The audience participation at my theater was absolutely terrible (the five people in front of me were taking everything seriously--like they were watching Glory or something). I've witnessed more lively reactions during Johnny Mnemonic screenings!
Now I feel driven to see Snakes again . . . but this time I want to bring a few dozen bags of rubber snakes with me and hurl them at people during the plane ride just to force a reaction out of them.

I got dragged into seeing this movie and I honestly think that the whole point was that it was so bad that it was funny. I can say that several parts made me laugh (especially since I recognized several of the species of snake to actually be harmless). I really didn't like the movie and felt like it wasa a waist of my money but I loved the way that the daily show made fun of it though.

Nari no Oni (especially since I recognized several of the species of snake to actually be harmless) Yeah, I noticed that, too. I remember immediately turning to a friend and pointing out, "that snake with the red skin touching black skin is not poisonous."

Maybe it's my love for cheesey movies, but this movie was the most fun I've had in a theater, in a while!
Nowhere did this movie even approach being good, it was horrible...but it was that good kind of horrible that you have loads of fun with.
Think, Toxic Avenger with a bigger budget....as far as cheese. smile

Snakes On A Plane isn't the best movie, but I really liked it. I've seen it twice already. I liked that it was somewhat original, unlike so many movies nowadays. It made me laugh and made me jump twice. I would give it a B. Samuel Jackson made the movie. His lines were so awesome.

The_Wicked_Man razorgod As far as letting critics preview...good, let those ******** go get real jobs........do you really use critics opinions when deciding what to see? Not every critic is full of s**t. And no, I don't use someone else's opinion when deciding what I want to see; I merely use what they write as a guide of what I could expect to see in the theaters. If I hear about a movie that sounds really interesting, I will still go see it to form my own opinion--even if the reviews I read are mediocre or worse ( Saw, The Butterfly Effect, Bubba Ho-tep, X-Men 3). However, more times than not, I find myself agreeing with the negative reviews and regretting that I ever questioned a witness' testimony. razorgod Perhaps they barred critics from the film, for the same reason many of us want to see the film? Because it isn't meant to take it's self too seriously... Critics can get a joke. Roger Ebert's reviews of early Abrahms, Zucker, & Zucker comedy films are all positive. More recently, Shaun of the Dead received so much well-deserved acclaim. Perhaps they barred critics from the film because they don't see a "so bad it's good" film; they just see a shitty movie, and don't want negative reviews to threaten first week boxoffice earnings. I found shaun of the dead quite entertaining but perhaps im being biased due to being a resident of the UK. I liked the whole British humour mixed with a horror aspect. I can't wait for "Severance" to come out..

But snakes on a plane... sounds hideously hollywood for my liking. Although I don't doubt it will be action packed and hillariously entertaining. Samuel L Jackson will probably carry it through. He "makes" most of his movies.
