Erik spun around so he was leaning against the desk behind him. He lowered his voice so the librarian couldnt hear him. "Yep." He answered. "But If I succeed, everything will be better for everyone, but I dont mind letting people get hurt. And nobody will care once I'm done." He

Why was he sharing this with her? Why was he telling her this? She was speechless for a moment, trying to figure out what to say that wouldn't totally demonstrate that Tarnal was present. "But you'll be hurting people. Couldn't you find another way to do whatever it is you're going to do without hurting anyone?" She was about to gag at what she was saying, but she remained calm.

"I dont care about hurting people...and besides It probably wont be anyone random" Erik told her. "I've got one specific person in mind that I need to get rid of first. I've had a few encounters with her in the past, and I know she'll be trouble..."

Erik looked at her. "I've probably already told you too much. If I tell you who it is, It'd be too risky. You could go and stop me. Hell, If I was pissed off right now, I'd put you on my list to kill, because its probably too risky to let you live."

"Then why'd you open your mouth and tell me in the first place?" She was beginning to get cocky, clear sign Tarnal was beginning to show. She still had no clue who he was, though he was very familiar to her. Heck, she didn't even remember him from the nightclub, how could she remember from a few years back.

"Sorry," She said with a light nod, "You must have me mistaken for someone else. I don't know any Tarnal person." She said with a light shrug, "And I'm no super." She lied easily, though she was very curious to find out who he was. "The name is Charlotte Smithers, and you are?" She asked curiously. She doubted he'd tell her who he was. But that was fine, she'd figure it out, somehow.

Laurel came up from the basement, and saw not one, but two people waiting...
She went to her desk and turned down the sign, "Sorry to keep you waiting, how may I help you?" She smiled at both of them.

She turned towards the Librarian and gave her a warm smile even though they'd been waiting there for awhile. "He was here first." She stated casually, moving aside so Erik could get his book.

Erik thought for a second about backing out and playing it safe, but decided to go forward with his plan. "You wouldnt happen to have a book on..Pure Energy...would you?"
