MOEs Mallorys Wedgie Friend lol, I think you mean Hirohata... you're talking about the Hirohata Merc from the Barris shops, right? Yes, I was abit dubious of the spellng, and it was a 51 not a 54 I saw that resembeled the origonal. I was unclear, I soley responding about the Hirohata Merc in that post. I didn't mean to make you think I was talking about the '54 Chevy. I always liked the '54 grille teeth.

I thought so, I just thought I'd correct myself too. I've allways liked the 54 teeth, Still you cannot really beat the Desoto Teeth. Espically 55s with the neat little parking lights at each end.

It had slightl extended fins, and fender skirts on wide-whites and fairly simple hub-caps. As a course of change, happen to have ever seen the Snooky Ford?

No I haven't I've never really been into customs, I guess I just notice the few as Hot rods and customs are fraterinal brothers of Gow. I'd like to see pictures if you have them biggrin I like the sutible early 50s stuff and the really wild 60s stuff, I'd love to build a Merc with some lace paint and tri ribs.

Never seen lace paint AND tri-ribs on a merc together, but, I've seen both apart from each other. Merc's look pretty decent with tri-ribs if nothing else has really been done. I'm not as big on lace-paint on early customs, but, late-fifties through the seventies I think that lace-paint can look great. I'm heavily into customs... cruisin'... which is why it's ironic how I'm building my mustang.

Take something like a '40 Chevy sedan and drop it onto dayton's, they tended to not be custom, but just very well equipped. A/C, fog-lights, antenna's, etc. You'll see bombs a lot at the bigger lowrider shows. Look some up, you may like what you find.
