Dirt got kicked into Leah's eye. Leah looked up at Lunathiel, full of anger. She let out a mighty roar and opened her mouth and extended her claws.
"I'll give you ten seconds to run, missy," said Leah, angrilly.
"Oh, no," groaned Randeee, realizing that Leah is now going to totally terrorize the poor Soquili.

Lunathiel stopped moving and instead began glaring at the cat. She had no intention of running, the cat was much faster then she was, out running it would be a no go. She raised her head proudly and tossed her head casually to the side. "I will not." Her voice remained unshaken but on the inside she was quite scared. Randee's 'friend' seemed very serious about hurting her.

"Have it your way," muttered Leah.
Then, Leah roared visciously and leapt up at th Lunathiel with her claws ready to attack. In mid-air, Leah swiped at Lunathiel.
"No!" shouted Randee, rushing over as quickly as possible.

Lunathiel's crystal blue eyes darkened in fear and shocked as she backed away slightly from the attacking feline. Her movements weren't enough as Leah still managed a clean cut across her muzzle. She snorted and tossed her head about as if that would remove the injuries but the air hitting the open wound was only making it worse. She stepped further backwards and lay into the grass hopping to hide from Leah's rage not realizing that her blue coat made her stick out as a sore thumb would.

Leah's eyes widened, realizing what she has done.
"Oh no," she gasped. Leah turned around and ran as far away as she could.
"Leah! Leah come back!" shouted Randee after Leah. Randee then turned her urgent attention over to the injured Lunathiel.
"I am so sorry that this happened," said Randee, her eyes tearing up, feeling responsible for Leah.

She raised her head and looked over her shoulder cautiously. When her eyes met the tearfilled ones of Randee a feeling of relief and sorrow rushed over her at the same time. "It's okay..." She said standing nuzzling the other mares neck careful to avoid spreading the blood. "I'm fine. this will be gone in a week at the most." She pulled back and smiled trying desperatly to show her that she hadn't done anything wrong. It was Leah's fault. The cat had attacked her. Not Randee. Being friends didn't mean she could controll the cheetahs every move.

Randee wasn't quite sure how to feel. Leah had cut Lunathiel pretty badly.
"It's not just that," said Randee. "Leah and I have been together a long time. She used to be like this when she was younger, but when she started travelling with me, she learned to control her temper a little better. Now, now she' s going back to her own self again and she's running free and wild. This could bring danger to many more that just you...it can be dangerous to me and others as well."

She furrowed her brows in confusion. The cat was a danger now, but it hadn't been before? Did that mean that she had been the cause. She looked around a little worried. It didn't matter if she had caused what ever was happening. "We need to find your friend..." She said looking closely at Randee hoping for a hint to where Leah had run to. She'd try to find the snowy cheetah even if Randee didn't for some reason.

Randee wasn't quite sure where Leah had ran off too.
"She ran off to the woods, I believe," said Randee against her tears. She turned towards the woods, ready to go on the search. "Are you ready?"

She nods and stretches out a bit knowing that running would probably be involved. Lunathiel was very glad that she would in fact have company on her little 'quest'. "I wouldn't have asked if I wasn't..." She said with a soft smile before turning to the woods as well. The trees looked somehow darker then earlier and she gulped but put on a strong face. "Let's go." She said firmly marching over to the tree line with high steps looking much bolder then she felt.

Randee headed into the woods, searching for Leah. Randee followed her prints in the dirt as far as she could, until the prints began fading away. Randee still headed in the direction of the prints, hoping to find any more signs of Leah.
"This may take us a long time to find her," said Randee, realizing the sad truth.
*Oh, Leah, where are you?* thought Randee.

Lunathiel tailed beind Randee watching her track the white feline. It was amazing. The zebra soquili was able to follow prints barely visable to the blue mare's eyes but then they seemed to stop. At Randee's words she started to loose her cool. "How long...exactly?" She asked voice shaking a little as she looked around. Look ahead she was alright with but all around her; the trees seemed like they were trying to grab at her mane, every noise mad her think of some rabid beast coming after her. 'And that leaf...' she thought and even in her mind her voice trembled. 'It's following me...'

"Not sure," said Randee, turning to Lunathiel. "Are you okay? You don't look so well."
The tree leaves shook as leaves fell down onto Randee and Lunathiel.

"I'm fine!" She said, once again a little to quickly. She turned her head a bit to hide her slight embaresment. She was scared, and whatever just fell on her back wasn't helping! She reared back whinying wildly fearing that something was trying to claw at her. As she whipped her head back wildly she discovered it was only a few leaves.
Breathing heavily she let herself drop back down hanging her head sheepishly. She lifted her eyes a bit to look at Randee and by way of an apology she said, "I'm not fine. This place scares me, I've never been here."

Randee nodded, also feeling pretty scared now. Randee hadn't seen a sign of Leah for a while now, and now Randee is leading herself and Lunathiel into an unknown place.
"I think the best idea is too...," Randee stopped as she felt something drop onto her back. She then felt it again on her head. She looked up as a drop of water fell from the sky and into her eye. It was about to rain.
"No," said Randee, quietly. If it rained, that would wash out any tracks of Leah, and their own tracks to use to get home. The rain fell harder, wetting the dirt on the ground and turning it to mud.
"We need to find somewhere dry," said Randee through the pouring rain.
