In 2004, the Raiders went 3-1 in the preseason. Ended the regular season 5-11. Also, in 2004, the Patriots went 1-3 in the preseason and were even shut out 31-0 by Jacksonville in the last preseason game. What did they do that season? Won the Super Bowl. Again.

Preseason games have little impact on the regular season. The only way they CAN impact the regular season is injuries. I'm sorry, but that is not a fact that can prove a 10-6 season.

Yes, we will. I'm still more concerned about the Chiefs, though. With a great TE, an amazing RB, a huge 2nd year LB, a team with multiple 1000 yard rushers coming out of nowhere, and a difficult bootleg offense all in the same division, this has to be one of, if not the most, difficult divisions in the league, and the battered, aging Chiefs are stuck in the middle of it.

The Chiefs defense is trying to improve, adding Ty Law. Plus, Patrick Surtain isn't that bad and Derrick Johnson is only going to get better. Herm Edwards made a pretty good decision switching the defense from a 4-3 to a Cover 2 defense. It does mean that they'll blitz less, but it should help them in the long run.
